Super clean Everyone is friendly…read more Both vets are very knowledgeable You can't beat their prices. Their prices are to treat your animal and obviously so the vets can make a living and pay their staff. They don't try to screw you like a lot of vets do.

This clinic provides accessible, less expensive animal care. I appreciate that, given the number of…read morevery expensive clinics in the area. The staff are pleasant, the atmosphere casual. They care about the animals. If you choose to use this clinic, however, be sure that your pet gets the care and screening they require by bringing a checklist of what is typically done during their annual physical and any visit related to a particular illness. You can find or create the checklists based on information from Veterinary School websites. Discuss the checklist with your vet. You may not understand all of the veterinary jargon on the websites, but you can always ask the vet to explain it to you. Use the lists to make sure that the vets do all the main, usual diagnostic and screening tests listed for your pet's annual physical and/or issue. Early diagnosis leads to better health outcomes...and a lower likelihood of death. Caught early, specialist care is less likely to be required - many illnesses can be handled at the clinic if treatment is not delayed. Ask for a copy of test results and review all lab work. Ask what the abnormal findings mean. The vets may need to be reminded to follow up on abnormal results. Sometimes results don't make it into your pet's folder, which can prevent detection of issues. If the vet you are meeting with says that there is no need for blood tests - that they already know what the problem is - don't believe them. Ask to speak with another vet. If a vet brings up going to Garden State Veterinary Hospital, then tells you that your pet will be given all sorts of unnecessary tests there and it will be really expensive, and probably not necessary, discouraging you from taking that step, ask to speak with another vet for the straight story. The bottom line is that this clinic has its heart in the right place, but it is helpful to do your "due diligence" to make sure your pet gets the right, complete care. Trust but verify...

Every pet should be able to have their owner in the room for their last moments and owners should receive kindness during this time. Go to northstar instead. Great vets and atmosphere to do one of the most difficult things for pet owners!

If you see Dr. North 1 star. He is rude, doesn't listen to symptoms & does NOT know his veterinary medicine. I do not trust Dr. North to give my dog her annual shots. My dog was very sick. Almost died sick. She had a very swollen belly, the runs, drastic weight loss & lethargy. Dr. North only would treat the symptom of the water retention in her belly. After 3 months of going, numerous blood tests and x-rays, water pills & anti biotics, she wasn't getting better. I did research and found a disease that fit ALL of her symptoms & test results. He told me "no, it can't be that because it is very rare. Let's wait & see what happens." Instead of waiting while my dog suffered, we went to red bank to see a specialist. She was diagnosed w lymphagestascia. Yes very rare, but rather common in Yorkies. Dr. North never looked up the disease after I mentioned it or even attempted to figure out what was killing my dog. She would have died without immediate treatment. She is now doing great & we go to see Dr. Spangle for shots and routine visits. But we do have to go to red bank annually to monitor her disease. I don't know that I would go to Brielle for anything major. But for routine upkeep and basic issues, Dr. Spangle is right on.
