This was a unique store that me and my daughters visited while in town. This store was very big and…read moreprovided many options for anyone looking for reuse clothes, kitchen supplies, toys, shoes, house decor and furniture. I did like that they had everything sectioned based on what you were looking for rather than just having all of the products scattered all over the place. Like I've seen in some thrift stores. Everything was organized and in good condition. I do have to say that if you're looking for a thrifting experience, this place has many unique kitchen supplies and dishes. If I lived in the city I definitely would come here. Looking for vintage items. Okay, but if you're looking for particular clothings, this may not be the place for you. It was very limited and not a whole lot of offerings when it came to the apparels.

Love this thrift store! Sherri is super helpful and always willing to help! Fun place to shop!read more

This is a large thrift store in Topeka, and it is not the store's fault that it receives four stars…read more- I think Topeka thrift stores just suffer from being very picked over, and are competing with the KC metro for inventory. That said, this is an excellent place to find vases and decor. Clothing will be useful but not high end and in good quantity. They do both the color-tag weekly sales along with seasonal promotions for holidays or at the end of seasons. For example, the week after Valentines day all Valentines decor was half off, as were a number of red decor items and scarves were buy one get one half off.

We found a few items that looked okay but ended up only leaving with a bowtie because my kiddo almost stole it. The kids area smells like urine so I did not look too hard in there because I couldn't handle the smell. If I am honest that ruined the whole experience. My daughter heard they had great teen items. We found a dress but definitely no decent sz 0 pants, shorts or tops. Her friend that is a different sz didn't find anything either. We actually saw many better items at the goodwill that was just behind it.

Karen Shaffer, the owner of Mommy and Me has always been very selective in what she purchases for the store and that selectivity reassures me that when I make a purchase at Mommy and Me I know I am getting a lightly used, good quality product. There is a fun play area for the kids so mom and dad can shop without the complaints of bored kiddos.
