For the longest time, I was getting tracks sewn in (a standard weave) and was rarely ever satisfied... I would caution anyone reading these reviews in detail to take the other 1 star reviews very seriously. My mistake was glossing over them and instead believing the glowing reviews. After hearing Diamond's aggressive sales pitch about microbead extensions & flawless coloring, I quickly reached for a bank card to fork over $1,075 that same day to "reserve the extensions." (I would later find out that the actual hair cost a small fraction of this amount). Then after countless days of delays (a consistent theme), Diamond finally informed me that the extensions were ready for an appointment. The appointment was set for early in the afternoon, yet Diamond showed up several hours later. I had already provided very specific details and example photos about the desired quality of hair & how the coloring should look well in advance. The reality fell incredibly short of those expectations: the supposedly voluminous hair extensions were string-like on the ends instead & the coloring looked like it was conjured from the food dye used to make Cheetos rather than the light brown tone requested. To make matters worse, I spent the rest of the afternoon and night in a chair constantly hearing that it would all look fantastic when it was finished. More than 7 hours later, it looked just as awful as it initially did & I politely requested that the extensions be removed so that the promised quality of hair could be re-ordered. Diamond repeatedly assured me that she would do whatever it took to make me happy. It was afterward that Diamond subsequently requested an additional $200 to purchase higher quality hair, which I provided prompt payment for. I also asked Diamond to send over detailed photos of the extensions once they arrived so that if they weren't the desired quality, no additional time would be wasted installing and removing hair again. Diamond wrote that the hair came with a "money back guarantee" and not to worry. Nearly a week later I received that photo of the new hair - only to be disappointed yet again with the actual quality. It was then that I realized everything with Diamond was following a consistent pattern: over-promise & under-deliver. Nothing was on time. Nothing was up to quality. However I also found Diamond to be a sweet & naturally enjoyable person to be around. Therefore rather than hurt her feelings by mentioning the abundance of non-stop disappointments, I politely texted that I would be taking a break from trying extensions and requested a 75% refund on all the money provided. Much to my surprise, Diamond ignored the refund question for several days. Eventually she texted back after the question was asked a 4th time - not a cent would be refunded. As you can imagine, there was a lot of back-and-forth texting afterward, to which Diamond eventually said she would only possibly be willing to send back $200 out of the $1,275 & that it would take "seven to ten business days" to process. Several things bothered me personally about this, as if the sloppy work wasn't bad enough. When you run a legitimate salon or any business for that matter, you should recognize & maintain adequate financial buffer when clients deposit money so that you can provide a reasonable refund in the event of dissatisfaction. The fact that Diamond was barely able to agree to a possible $200 refund & then claimed to need "seven to ten business days" for processing was highly indicative that the client money was already all spent soon after she received it (and we know the actual extensions were a small fraction of that). Furthermore, once you can tell that someone is no longer willing to be a client, business etiquette 101 says that you should not turn from a supposedly sweet person into a cold & unreasonable stranger. It tells the former client that your business relationships are only ever about the money. I fully understand that Diamond is a hard-working single mother, one of the toughest jobs in the world. However that does not mean clients should be over-promised on everything, only to have their deposit monies held hostage once they express their disappointment. Fortunately I was able to get my hair color fixed at a reputable salon in the end. No doubt Diamond will reply to this detailed review with some of her own words, after all she has a business at stake here. However please remember that it's very easy for someone to rationalize excuses out of thin air as to why they would essentially seize $1,275 from a client and deliver nothing in return. That is a lot of money & not something most would be eager to send back, especially if they'd already spent it. I really wanted to like this. I didn't immediately do a review because at first they were great, I walked out feeling amazing. She even secured the beads to literally the very tip of the root to get as close to the root as possible, as they loosen over time. By the second week, these bonds had already slid down at least half an inch, and a few days later, they came out. Sometimes it was one at a time, and sometimes it ranged from 6-10 strands a day. Even when carefully brushing my hair, they would be combed out with the brush. Going into week 3, I now have had to order more extensions and will be going elsewhere to get them installed. Diamond is also not licensed, which isn't a bad thing as many of my friends do an amazing job at hair and makeup and they are not licensed. The only negative side is that she is not completely trained on all types of hairtypes. The bottom of my extensions were unevenly sectioned, and large gaps were left in between the rows, where 2 more rows could have easily fit. There are many areas like this, so i will have to spend another couple hundred of dollars to fill in the spots she forgot to blend. I'll attach pictures of the bonds that fell out and how horribly they looked after a few weeks of regular wear. She hand makes the individual strands which are much much thicker than strands you can purchase at any beauty store. However, the improper amount of natural hair was too light to carry the weight of the extension strand, causing breakage at the roots and everywhere else. I now have a million and one breaking points in my real hair due to this. The glue that is used to bond these strands together (as she makes them herself) is very cheap and weak. after washing my hair once, i could already feel the glue come off of the very tips of the hair, which constantly felt like 2mm long sections of hair stabbing and itching my scalp. I did like that her strands are some of the thickest you can find, but they dry out extremely quick. i use multiple high end products to keep my hair in the best shape and they are starting to get knotty and tangled and almost stringy, due to the glue loosening up and having individual tiny hairs fall from the extensions, making them thinner. She runs it from her home, where there are so many children running around, under the age of 5 who scream and throw toys everywhere, and always has friends over and entertains them instead of pertaining to you. So to sum it up, Diamond is a great spirited woman, but does not completely know what she is doing since she is self taught. The extensions she will hand make herself are not the best quality, hence why the prices are so low. As i typed this review, i was able to remove 6 (yes 6) strands of my hair because they were slipping. I will most definitely not be returning. Save your money and buy high quality hair and have her install it if you even trust her to do that. I have already spent over a thousand dollars on her work and now even more money to try to fix her mess that she gave me, when I could have saved money by not having to pay both Diamond and another stylist to slay my hair. I could honestly just buy the hair myself and install it myself since Diamond is unlicensed and self taught.. How hard could it be? read more

I was hopeful for this to work but now feel differently. The first time I got my hair done it looked good for one to two weeks and I was happy with the look of it. However, as expected extensions take maintenance. I did not expect it to be so soon when hair slipped, beads fell out, and I had hanging wefts under and in the sides of my head. For the price paid initially this should not have happened so quickly. I got the hair adjusted but the same problem still occurred. I was not contacted back when I tried explaining I needed the hair fixed. For almost a month. In this time, the sides are completely detached that I have to put my hair in a braid to make it easier to manage and you can see my short hair in the back. I rescheduled because I had an important event to go to which I needed my hair done for. It was scheduled. Last minute, I get a text to reschedule time by an hour because of other appointments, but because of this I just felt as though I was not valued as a customer. I had contacted first. I had stated I have an event. I had stated I never heard back before. I had stated my hair was coming off and that even one whole piece in the bangs was basically off so I took it off myself completely (so I wouldn't have an obvious weft falling off the front of my hair) Her other client Also had somewhere to be but we had agreed on a time so I also would have my hair done for this award ceremony. I made sure to ask if it would be done in time. In general something always comes up so I do not sincerely feel as though I was valued as a customer and I will not be returning. My goal in writing this is to help someone from having to deal with a frustrating situation unnecessarily. If you work hard for you money, I'm sure you will care. My experience was catastrophic ,I pay over $1200 To get top shelf hair and got used up greasy hair that looked like it had be worn by somebody else for a long time. Like the other 1 star review with a similar story, I was promised it was going to look great, then it wasn't enough hair and the quality was extremely poor . No excuses, a profesional licensed stylist would have sent the hair back if they thought it was poor quality or the batch was bad - or not enough hair was ordered to complete the job . they would not install it ... so whatever rebuttal you want to put on here - You can't argue with that- I was very frustrated, and didn't buy the story of let me get different hair, it wasn't even enough hair to give a full head of hair and a few inches shorter ,I got 12 inches and paid for 16. The only smooth experience was the consultation when she sells you the pitch and takes your deposit. I went with my gut feeling and decided to cut my losses and move on. I had to pay someone else double to take out the hair and buy real high quality hair. I been around the block and know good hair. She will more than likely rebuttal with she tried to fix the problem and order new hair. It's a scam , so I already know what she will post.
