So... very... disappointed. Buckle up for an epic tome. Anytime, anyone, chooses to spend their money... it's important. It's important to observe the needs of the customer. More important--when the vendor (in a food establishment) is TOLD of a food allergy, there is an obligation... to the health and welfare of the customer. I'm in town for a special event. Well, anytime I am able to justify a trip to Eureka it's special. It requires specific effort to make (that) long drive, and endure the seriously major inconveniences of parking (not to mention navigating the maze of hills, dales, steep roads/streets, etc). But once there, I have favorite shops and vendors (and miss former ones). Bombadil's is out of the way for my 'normal route' yet it caught my eye--and I'm never shy to try any food truck or hole in the wall. I set cap to try it out. Saturmorn I had just secured an espresso at a nearby coffeehouse and enroute to my return to the hotel I spied a vehicle parked at Bombadil's. I pulled in to see 'what was up.' Was breakfast in the cards? I was sitting in my car in the parking lot next to this other vehicle. I'm on my Yelp trying verify whether or not they served breakfast when, behold the (owner?) came up and offered to help. I asked her, and she said no--no breakfast. But lunch and dinner is available. Questions ensued--as is wont when I have owners captive. I asked about her wares, she bragged that right now they're offering grilled peaches. I bring up my food allergies and she assured me accommodations are simple. The rest of that day and the next, as I'm traipsing in and out of establishments all over Eureka (and at the special event I'd be attending) all learned of my 'peach hamburger' plans I had to grad my order and head to my event. Believe me that was IRKED at how LONG it took. My order smelled 'odd.' No time to look at it. I didn't find out until AFTER the event for me to check on my meal. Who wants to guess? NO cole slaw! Instead I was given fries!!!! Okay, also my burger did NOt get the onions as discussed extensively. And I'm also disappointed that the grilled peach was NOT slices like tomato (and she could have done that)!, it was awkward wedges. Whatever. I feel like Bombadil's is kinda underrated. They're great. The staff is always super kind even when they're hustling. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I love how they have decorated the sitting area and the parking area with their food truck... It definitely looks way better than most food trucks... I ordered the chicken sandwhich with truffle fries. The wait was about 15-20 minutes, plenty of bench's and tables, Not too bad. Amazing service but unfortunately the food was not the greatest. My chicken sandwhich was half breading, half thin chicken, and a bit chewy. The truffle fries had all the truffle on the bottom of the box. We visited with a good-sized group of people while the place was packed. Despite a short line, the staff was great - cheerful and wicked efficient. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Plenty of open seating and nice ambience - a wooded setting with landscaping.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Not your typical food truck at all! We had the catfish basket, two different kinds of their gourmet grill cheeses, and a salmon salad. All were filled with flavor and cooked to order. Loved the food! I had a hamburger with a GF bun and a salad! Both were so good and fresh! My husband had the catfish with fries and my son had the chicken sandwich! The portions are great! The food is made to order so it takes a little time but worth the wait! We will be back next time we are in Euerka Springs! read more

Truffle fries, limp, you could have squeezed a quart of oil out of them, and they tasted like their fryer oil was a year old. We were actually disgusted and had to throw everything out. Waste of money and time. Very disappointed as we were actually excited to try them when we discovered them driving by on vacation. Def the low point of our whole vacation read more

The fries are very good, excellent with the truffle oil and the parmesan cheese. Their sandwiches are made fresh and hot to order. The desserts are heavenly. There is a wait for your order, but there are benches and tables and a nice sitting area. read more
