The installation process was long, disorganized, and full of unnecessary delays. The person who came out to measure forgot to template the riser for our basement bar, which immediately stalled the project. Later, (after one rescheduled install due to staffing issues), an installation crew refused to enter the house after being instructed to use the basement entrance in the back. They left without completing any work. That decision alone pushed our remodel back another two weeks and disrupted the schedules of our other contractors. When installers finally returned, it was around 5:00 p.m. just before the Fourth of July weekend. Instead of simply completing the job, they immediately started making excuses about why they couldn't install the riser and suggested another reschedule. Fortunately, my painter was there and called them out, making it clear there was no reason the work couldn't be completed. They ended up installing it, allowing the rest of the project to finally move forward. If you're coordinating a remodel with multiple contractors and working on a timeline, I would not recommend Hard Rock Stone Works. The lack of communication, poor project management, and repeated delays turned what should have been a straightforward installation into a frustrating experience.

Bought second floor carpeting after living with Karastan for over 30 years with no problems, just…read moreneeded a change in color. The nightmare begins, during COVID time frame carpet laid turned out to be from different color lots, manufacturers agreed to replacement. The second carpet was laid with a "shear" defect, that is a grove cit into the middle of carpet that looks like a one inch racing stripe. I asked how can this happen, didn't anybody at Reimer look at the carpet rolls prior to installation ? I guess not. Reimer offered a "settlement" which I foolishly accepted because being near 70 years old, I couldn't move all the furniture on the second floor for the third time. The problems soon started with the second carpet, ripples started to appear. it seems going forward , Riemer was going to charge to come out and look at ($75) the ripples and than charge for the repair. They have been out at least three times for ripples and over $500 dollars to take care of this issue. It seems to be a great profit stream because it was poor installation from I read on Google. just to add to this, areas that they had to de ripple, seem to be holding. but now the ripples are going to new areas . I feel like ripping out the mess and starting over with another merchant, I can't believe it's worth the money to have a endless cycle of restretching. Truely don't know what to do.

Experience thus far... 1) Purchased expensive wool carpet…read more(we were told it was carpet). 2) Manufacturing process took a long time but we were patient. We were told our carpet installation was "tricky," and required an experienced installer. This should have set off alarm bells as you will see below). 3) Carpet installation was scheduled approximately 3 months after order. 4) Install date arrives. We had moved everything in preparation. 5) Carpet and carpet pad are delivered. 6) Install team arrives. Lead installer has more than 35 years of experience. Seemed like a very credible guy. Other guys indicate that he is the top installer for Riemer. 7) After about an hour of analysis, lead installer tells us that the carpet cannot be installed. The carpet was designed only to be a rug and that the multiple seams we needed would look terrible. He demonstrated this by trying to cut the carpet/rug in front of us. 8) We ask what are our alternatives? Answer - carpet has to be returned and we need to start from the beginning in choosing a new carpet. 9) Lead installer said same thing happened a month ago and the customer had to choose different carpet. 10) Carpet and pad are returned to Riemer. 11) We started a new online search for carpet. After about 10 days, we had narrowed the search to two options. 12) Salesperson finally gets back to us after about 10 days. She indicates that they "found" an installer who will install the carpet without a problem. 13) Salesperson indicates this has never happened before, despite the fact that the installer with 35 years of experience said the same thing happened a month ago. Who is lying? Our experience is that it is typically the person who has a motive to lie. 14) Salesperson indicates that manufacturer will not take carpet back. Obviously therein lies the motive. Riemer is in a bind. Salesperson says we have no choice but to take the carpet with the new "special" installer. 15) We feel like this is a shakedown. What should we do?

I think they did a wonderful job…read more Bryan Buckner, our salesperson, was pleasant to deal with - clear communication every step of the way - from picking out materials, cost estimates, setting appointments, and following up. We had our kitchen linoleum and great room carpet removed and replaced with hardwood, which took 4 days to complete. We also replaced the carpet on one flight of stairs, as it was torn up/detached - that only took half a day to complete. John was extremely accommodating. Free of charge, he offered to move up the kitchen cabinets above the fridge a couple of inches to allow room for the added height of the hardwood floor and now the cabinet doors open all the way too (they didn't before, due to obstruction from the fridge door hinges)! He also had good communication during the job. He made sure to tell me about issues or concerns he had along the way and gave me solution choices on what I preferred before he went ahead with it. In one instance of note, I gave the go-ahead to install the hardwood around our existing fireplace tile without t-molding (otherwise we'd have to order more wood), meaning he would have to spend extra attention to cut the wood so it would meet flush with the tile. He did exactly that. That night, my husband expressed that he preferred t-molding there so I called Bryan the next day to ask if it's possible to add t-molding around that tile area after-the-fact. After consulting with John, Bryan let me know that not only will John order more wood and come back to make that happen, but it was free of charge too. Also notable: we own a baby grand piano in the living room. Perfect Floors said they don't move those due to liability reasons, understandably. However, John offered to move it for us. He said he was afraid that if we move the piano ourselves that we'd damage the wood, and he was right. I watched as the guys painstakingly repositioned plywood, plank by plank, beneath the piano to move it and position it exactly where I wanted. Beautiful hardwood remained intact. I greatly appreciated that. Our floors were done in early April. It's now mid-July and I still love it. We often get compliments from visiting friends and family. Now it's just a matter of trying to prevent our toddler from destroying the floors TOO much... and I guess we can never have dogs/cats in the house... we'll see how long that lasts! In conclusion, I definitely recommend Perfect Floors and would do business with them again.

To say the installer was pissed off that he had no help would be an understatement at best. As a result, he did not vacuum, did not clean up, did not bother move any furniture back into place and left scraps everywhere in the house. On top of all of this, when we called the owner to inform him of our concern, he was not professional, not empathetic at all to the situation.. I would NEVER recommend Perfect Floors to anyone. Yet another example of an owner who has no issues taking your money however does not want to take any responsibility when the customer has issues with the installation.

Emailed pictures to Stan Harrison last summer, who worked up a quote. Not cheap but these can't be found. Procrastinated until now, asked for a re-quote, and was told last year's quote was good. Fortunately, I drove over with one of the old railings to make sure. Glad I did. Walked in and Stan said, "I don't know what the hell that is." "It's a porch railing, Stan." He showed me the one brand they sell, completely inappropriate for this job. Meanwhile another customer, a contractor, was being told by another clerk, "I don't have a window like that", whatever that was, and the contractor was trying to choose a replacement. And a THIRD customer, also a contractor, was holding a broken piece of vinyl siding and apologizing by admitting it was "probably 8 to 10 years old" and hoping to match the brown color as best as possible. His clerk was looking at the siding like it was a prehistoric reptile. So! I'm thinking Ingram's motto is: if you want exactly what we sell, come to Ingram!

This year in April was a damaging wind and hail storm that ripped off, the backyard upper roof and family room area of shingles. Finally in August the roofers completed the 10 hour job and we kind enough to point out in camera photos of the two cracked brick areas on 2 chimneys. After 3 days I called Resurrection Brick for a Free Chimney inspection since they use a Drone camera as well with overall details. History: I have attached several photos explaining this professional brick business with help and approval from their website called "Resurrection Brick, Family Owned & Operated, Licensed & Insured." From the start with Sales Rep Matthew, he was kind and detailed with his conversation that was slow and not rushed plus explaining the process of brick replacement, employees and workmanship. He even brought over several Brick Samples to match up the next day for a 35 year old Colonial Home. The Contract was written up and in one day I was approved for their financing with U S Bank. I was relieved since the roof replacement claim and deductible wiped out my cash flow and 2 other unplanned Summer projects. :-( This company is on Google, Facebook and Now YELP with My Review! Buckle up. This is going to be a long one…read more If anyone needs masonry/construction done, stay far away from this company. I needed some work done on my front porch. They charged the hell out of me. Almost $7000 to replace some outer bricks, remove my old steps and place new ones, and do a little tuckpointing under my window. I thought the work seemed good but when I initially posted it on Facebook I had several people tell me the steps weren't up to code. I called Chris, the project manager to express my concerns. His response was "which people? Who are these people?" When I told him some people on social media told me they are not up to code. One of them being a former city inspector for city of Detroit. Chris told me he could look at it but that they were up to code. Not too long after that, an inspector from city of Dearborn gave me a notice that the work had multiple violations, being that the steps were not of equal heights, no permit was pulled, no four foot footing was installed, and that they were not even licensed to work in the city of Dearborn so they were getting a ticket for that. Chris stopped by my house that evening to tell me city of Dearborn called him and in order to correct the work I needed to reimburse them for the permit and would need to pay them $1000 for the four foot footing. I was a bit taken aback but soon realized I should not pay for a violation that they committed. I wanted to speak with the owner instead I got Brittanie the operations manager who told me to "calm down" and "you would just have to pay $1000 for the four foot footing." She told me they are a licensed residential builder and that they are licensed to work in the city of Dearborn. The city inspector confirmed with me the next day that they weren't licensed to work in the city of Dearborn so she lied to me about that. I decided to have a different company correct their work. I wanted it done legally and with the way they did the steps, they were a tripping hazard and I didn't want to get sued. The other company pulled the permit and corrected their work. Unfortunately when Resurrection Brick did the work we financed through the bank they use to finance which is US Bank and the finance company is Wisetack. I tried to dispute it with them but they told me there was nothing they could do. I spoke to a lawyer who told me the bank shouldn't have given them the lump sum and they should have had me sign off that I approved of the work. I asked the finance company about me signing off on the work and giving my approval. I never did that after they were done. They explained that when I applied for the loan I checked off that I approved the work they did. How can I approve something if I never saw it? I asked the bank to send me proof of that and they told me they couldn't send me any proof of that. So there are issues with the financial institution Resurrection Brick chooses to use. Resurrection Brick also never gave me a copy of a signed contract. Now, I am going to be taking this to small claims court
