Cowgirlq happened to be the food truck in the parking lot and I decided to get some lunch with my beers. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw on the side. I went into the brewery and got an IPA and it paired wonderfully. The sandwich came out in a few minutes and was delivered to our table during these COVID times. Super juicy pork with some crispies on top. Really solid and the coleslaw was on par. A definite "Try it" if you see this truck.

They were so patient and accomodating when I had to reschedule for a later delivery service, and also abided by the contactless delivery I requested. Everything came in a large, sturdy cardboard box, all packaged in their individual containers with instructions on how to reheat. Super easy to follow, and super organized! Dinner Rolls: Seems like your typical packaged dinner/sweet rolls, nothing special...but I love any kind of bread so I can't complain! Potato Salad: I usually enjoy Mac Salad more, but there was a nice balance of tang and creaminess to this! There's also Egg quarters and pickled Onions on top I believe. Baked Beans w/ Sauteed Onion + Brisket Bits: WOW. Again, not a huge fan of Baked Beans usually, but this was delicious! Maybe it was the Brisket Bits that gave it a nice flavor, but honestly was very happy about this dish. Black Angus Beef Brisket: The favorite amongst my friends and my own personal favorite. CowgirlQ did not disappoint - the Brisket was super tender and juicy, as it should be! Really great flavor as well. Oak Smoked Turkey Breast: I'll be honest, Turkey is definitely not a popular pick, and for good reason as it's usually dry at most restaurants. HOWEVER, this was NOT the case for CowgirlQ's Turkey!! Extremely juicy pieces of meat, in fact, so packed with flavor, there was leftover juice at the bottom of the container! We were all honestly so surprised, and obviously very happy with the quality! Fruit Crisp: I wasn't too sure what this included as there was no description, but from first glance, it looked like a berry filling under the Oat/Sugar crumble on top. It ended up being a Raspberry filling, which was quite tart - I don't mind tart desserts, I actually love them! The sweet crumble on top gave a nice contrast to the tartness - I wish this was an all-around crust instead because of how good it was! They currently have a very simple online ordering system that gives you the option between Delivery or Pick-Up on Fridays and Saturdays for the time being. They also give you a deadline reminder to ensure you get your BBQ fix on time! You can even add on some beer from collaborating breweries! Overall, great quality food and great customer service. After reading more about the company, I only wish the best for them for future business, especially during these times! Thank you so much again for hosting such a generous giveaway, and for giving me the opportunity to try out an amazing San Diegan based company!

The difficult part is we spent hours / days trying to find the best BBQ for our event, and take a chance here and not only does Jim cancel a week out leaving us barely any time to find alternatives... but he tried to hide from it! It was clear afterwards he frankly wasn't going to tell us, he ignored my messages and I had to use other means to get a response from him. The messages speak for themselves... just no class, zero respect, and a flake. If you plan on catering for an event, use the SD top 3 BBQ spots or even look a little north. They are super responsive and at least you know they'll show up / respond. We ended up going with Grand Ole BBQ and it was incredible.

I had a question regarding the chicken and so I reached on the website and was provided a prompt response. I placed my order for pick up 2 days later. They do offer delivery if local as well. I ordered a half order of brisket (point); 2lbs of pork belly; and 2lbs of chicken. Total was about $150. We had a party of 4 adults and 3 picky kids. Upon pick up the order was quick and easy. It was actually ready before our scheduled pick up time! (Email was sent with estimated time.) The food was still hot when we started to dig in 30 mins later. The brisket came whole so we had to cut it. Pork belly came in large bite sized pieces. Chicken came chopped per my request. Everything was sooo delicious, juicy, and flavorful. I'm not too keen on smoke flavored or dry brisket but Jim's totally changed my mind! Blew all of us away. For a party of 4 adults, this would last us 3 meals. We couldn't stop raving about it afterwards!!! My personal fave is the pork belly. The sauce was sweet, tangy, and had a bite. I couldn't get enough! Brisket was fatty but I love fattier pieces of meat. The chicken looked dry but it was tender and full of flavor! I was pleasantly surprised. I will definitely order again from Jim's! Very satisfied and highly recommended! B

He found a cold coke can in a cooler at Egyptian Delights so purchased one from them. The staff is friendly and efficient. They are located in the back of the market by the grass lawn. The set up is nice and visually appealing. They sell gyros and shawerma sandwiches and plates. There's a spit roast in the back that has the meat. I'm just noticing now, in menu pic, that they also offer falafel. We bought their homemade baklava for $2.50/square. It was nutty and sweet. I thought it was a bit dry but no biggie at the time since we were just wanting something quick and easy for dessert. I hope they do well at this market as they seem to work hard. Maybe I'll stop by in future to try their falafel.

The chicken was good, but they could of used more of that tender tasty chicken in them. They too came with the same vegetables. The potato sambusa was okay. I thought it was just two soft all the way through, but a good vegetarian alternative. The six sambusas, well actually seven, if I include the potato one, were actually quite filling. They also make gyros, shawerma, and breakfast pitas. The mother and son combo are quite nice and always busily working making some great food. You can find them every Sunday at the La Jolla Open Aire Farmer's Market.

We tried a lot of different items and everything was fantastic - Crispy Yuca, Pao de Queijo, Picanha Plate, Picanha Stroganoff, Moqueca Fish, Brazilian Flan and Grilled Pineapple. To drink, we tried Caipirinhas in coconut and pineapple. I highly recommend the Picanha Plate with the steak cooked medium rare and the coconut Caipirinha. And better yet, rather than using pyrophosphates or ammonia compounds for the leavening agent, they do it traditionally, and you can even taste it in the dough! Even a bite of the dough by itself tastes the same as when I had it in small villages all over SE Asia. Their fillings, both the meals and the desserts, are incredibly well-done.
