If I could I would give Bolivar Ford 0 stars. Truly, that is how strongly I feel about this review, my experience and the "management" there. I do not write negative reviews and it has come down to this. I feel like it's my responsibility to let people know our story so they know what they're getting themselves into before making a large and important purchase such as a vehicle. First things first I will say, Franklin who worked with us on the sale was extremely kind, helpful and professional. I do not know if he was aware of what happened or what was to follow and he deserves a shout out. Now onto explain the mess that STILL CONTINUES UNRESOLVED since the day we drove off this lot 4 weeks ago. Let's start small 1. Truck arrives to us with a low tire pressure light on - brought into service and allegedly "checked and declared no leak" filled it up and said the sensor will go off once we've driven a few miles on it with the tire filled back up. We did that and guess what? The sensor did not go off. We brought it to the Nissan dealership near us to get it checked out, not worried because we purchased a warranty - a little irritating but no sweat. At the Nissan dealership that we brought it to they declared that it was a nail in the tire, the TPMS sensor was bad and they were missing the lug nut key that is suppose to come with the truck needed to do the repairs. Here's the best part! The Nissan dealership confirmed "you just purchased this about a week ago right? Because there are 2 cracks in the frame that someone repaired - did they disclose that to you?" Attached are the pictures the service department sent us and then showed us in person. An auto trader report shows that this truck was flagged at auction for frame damage. The reason it wasn't on the car fax was because the previous owner of the vehicle damaged the frame but not in a reported accident and then fixed it. In summary this dealership bought this truck at auction with noted frame damage but a clean car fax (so I'm sureeeee at an extremely discounted price) knowing they could sell it with the "clean car fax". They DID NOT disclose the frame damage and sold this vehicle to us at a full price that truck was worth WITHOUT frame damage. Not only is this auto fraud and scummy, it is a serious safety hazard to not just us but everyone else on the road. We explained to them that we were buying this vehicle specifically to tow our camper because that is what this truck is built for and known for, its towing capabilities. Not mentioning or disclosing the fact that it had frame damage is wrong beyond belief. The repaired frame SEVERED in half on BOTH sides before we had even had it for 30 days. The amount of people that could have potentially been harmed is unsettling. Now to tie this story all together for you the sales "management" was contacted about this from the very beginning. Brian and Cody. Let me just say we had days turn to weeks of no resolution and most days NO RESPONSE. They were "busy and would call us back" and never return our call. We got a sarcastic response in regards to this situation from Brian "this isn't a Walmart you can't just return things". We got HUNG UP ON on multiple occasions. We have on record the question of "well how am I suppose to know it has frame damage". ** That is your job!!! Are you kidding me? You're supposed to know because A it was cited at auction B you should be inspecting the vehicles you buy and then sell because that is your responsibility as an auto dealer. That is the safe thing to do. We have now been told they will not cancel the contract and take back this broken truck they fraudulently sold us and their solution was (direct quote) that they will fix the frame if it doesn't cost too much and proceeded to advise us to trade it in after they fix the frame because we "won't lose a dime". This is the solution Brian extended to us as something that will work for both of us. After we asked how in the hell we wouldn't lose a dime in this situation he tells us "because you don't need to disclose the frame damage, you didn't see it when you bought it. How would you lose money?" We are so incredibly disappointed, disgusted and concerned with how this has been handled, responded to and just the situation in general considering the dishonesty each step of the way and the complete disregard for safety. We STILL have not received a call back on this that we were promised to get on Friday and have been without a vehicle for a full week now since we were stranded 4 hours from home with a severed frame. We were told that we would get a call back again on Friday and still nothing, which unfortunately is not surprising one bit. We are now having to contact an attorney, front legal fees AND car rental fees after trying everything we could to get this resolved at the dealership level. It's sad that a CLEAR fault of theirs cannot be recognized and resolved on their level.
