My dentist said my teeth didn't need braces and suggested Invisalign for the gaps that had formed, but I needed my top teeth shifted back. I was biting my lip, and I felt like my speech was impacted. So, at 40 years old, I decided to get braces again. I went to a consultation and was given an estimate for around $6,000. Mind you, my teeth were straight. My own dentist office said I didn't need braces. But, I thought this is a professional place and while it's expensive, especially for what I needed, I trusted what Knoxville Orthodontics told me I needed. They were close to my house, and their building was nice. They seemed legit. I spent almost 2 years in braces. I spent about $4000 out of pocket. I noticed that my teeth didn't hurt after "tightenings." I came to realize that I obviously didn't need braces for that long, but I was told I needed them that long so they could get $6000 out of me. I also paid extra for clear braces and wires. Towards the end of my treatment, I was no longer getting clear wires. Once I paid my braces off, they came off around June of 2024. I realized my top teeth had not been pushed back. My gaps were barely closed up. They told me I'd need to go to the dentist to get fillings or whatever to fix that. Long story short, shop around. I feel very taken advantage of. I have adhd and autism and I was going through some really hard stuff so it took me some time to process this and write my review.

Went to another GYN who reviewed same test results, knew exactly what the problem was, shook his head in disbelief at Mason's decision, scheduled surgery. Her uterus was attaching itself to the wall of her stomach, thus the gas and bloating. The cyst looking object was where it was attached. Not a cyst. Had to remove uterus regrettably too much damage. He was very concerned about her and did great follow up work. Now she's dealing with side affects of hysterectomy (early menapause) but we knew that going in. Thank God for Dr McCollum and hope Mason burns in hell. Did I say he was a total fucking incompetent moron?? Yeah, well he is. He is so lucky we are not the litigious type

I waited way too long to have it done which was my own doing. When I did have it done it was a complicated and long procedure. He too k very good care of me. He checked up one me and at one point he even came to the hospital late at night for no other reason other then to check on me and make sure I was comfortable and doing ok. I hope he will always be able to be my gyn. Also his staff are so friendly and helpful.

Dr. Bushman takes time with each person he is with and sometimes it does take a little longer to get in to see him. He does his best to accommodate everyone (even walk ins who are in pain so it may back up the appointments a little). I know that this happens and try to plan to go in the morning or first slot of the day appointments or if I have to do a later appointment I bring a book and get settled in. It is worth the wait though and I definitely recommend trying their office!

So I have to write an update because of our last visit. Not too happy with the "updated" staff…read moresince our last visit. Maybe it was because it was a Monday, maybe someone had a headache, heck I'll even go as far as to say that maybe the person was sitting on a tack. The attitude was uncalled for and frankly has made me look elsewhere for the care of my son. I had called to see if there was anything else I could give my son other than what I was giving him, standard OTC meds for a sinus cough etc. The receptionist that answered the phone really didn't want to talk to me. She quickly pushed me off and said that a nurse would call me back, which was expected. However, this was at 9 in the morning and by 3 that evening I still hadn't heard back from a nurse. So, we packed up and drove in to either see if I could speak to a nurse personally or see a doctor real quick. I was quickly informed by the same rude receptionist that, "Honey, we are double booked. You see all these names on here? We still have to see them. We ain't got time for him now." Note, there were only two names on the sign in sheet and it wasn't my problem that they double booked. Granted I didn't have an appointment but I didn't expect to be talked to in that fashion either. She went on to then tell me that I should have called and made an appointment, almost as if I should have known that my son would have been as sick as he was. This was on a Monday. I'm writing this review on the following Sunday and I STILL haven't heard back from the nurse yet. Did they know who I was when I called? Yep! Did they know who I was when I walked in? Nope! Absolutely NO excuse for not returning a phone even if it's to simply say, you'll need to come in.

Dr. Baxter is one of the most caring understanding doctors we have ever met. One of my children has had a lot of health issues and they were wonderful helping me figure everything out and were always there when we needed them. I would never take my children anywhere else! When you are reading these reviews keep in mind that people don't often write reviews when things are good or even great because it takes extra "effort". Effort that people are ALWAYS willing to put in when they are angry.
