I get home to find I have a security tag on my wig! I immediately called making them aware! The person on the phone was very apologetic; however it was NOT HER FAULT!! These folk only WORK blacks SOMETIMES, NEVER EVER CLOSE TO THE CASH!! The person I gave my money to is who should have removed my security tag! I was told to get a hammer and try to remove it! Angry with that answer, I asked if he would refund my money back being I have the receipt and can't wear the wig! I live 45 mins away he THE OWNERS said he would NOT TAKE THE WIG BACK I WAS SIMPLY STUCK WITH SOMETHING OF NO USE TO ME! The lady behind the counter was EXTREMELY helpful and patient with my uneasiness. She showed me how to put on a wig cap and helped me pick out the right wig for me (all in the privacy of a "fitting room" in the back of the shop. If it weren't for my basketball-sized head, I would have walked out with a wig that day, but I'm so glad I found this place to help me see if wearing a wig is right for me or not. Not only did they answer the phone fifteen minutes before closing, but they assured me that they would let me in when I arrived (lol) and they were extremely kind and patient while I selected my items. I refused to leave my purse in the cubby and requested to keep it on me and after that I felt like everything went down hill!! I asked for my split ends to be trimmed and she cut my hair in a choppy style. It was a silk press and trim that I requested. I left with poofy hair with no styling. $120 wasted! Melissa was the stylist but Denise had to tell her what heat level to use on my hair. She really needs her license revoked IMMEDIATELY!!! I am from out of town but if I had family or friends this way...ol girl would have gotten beat tf up! She said I asked for all my split ends to be cut which meant that I could have uneven hair all over my head. She got too scissors happy. I should have gotten up. I'm so upset I allowed Melissa to mess my hair up so badly!!! Denise advised I could come back and she would cut in a style (said very sarcastically) but why would I want more of my hair cut. She brought me toppers that did not meet my request for what I want. Plus, she's just taking toppers out of a box that she's is planning to sell to me. Who knows who else has tried that topper on? The place did not strike me as sanitary and definitely not helpful. When I got up and left, she ran after me (leaving the other client finally) and said I owed a $50 consultation fee. I told her if I had received a consultation I would pay it, but I did not get one. I left.

We showed her a picture of my wife before she started losing hair and Brandi had two wigs which were almost identical to my wifes hair and style. Since half of my wife's hair had already fallen out, she gave my wife a complimentary hair cut. Brandi also gave us all the information we needed for the wig maintenance and cautions we needed to be aware of. You won't find another wig store of this caliber in Jacksonville or Orange Park. Well, I walked into Bok's, no greeting. Ok, I am going to get what I need and keep it pushing. I find my products in a minute's time and proceed to the counter. The cashier is standing with her back to me and still never acknowledges me. She is looking at the water bill, then mumbles, "hold on." It seems like she was on the phone from the way she was holding her head, so I don't know if it was directed to me. What I do know is that you had a customer in your store that you ignored twice. After about 20 or so seconds (yes, seconds, that's a bit of time to just stand there without any contact), standing at the counter to be acknowledged and serviced, I placed the products on the counter and left. In THIS economy, when I chose to spend my hard earned money with your establishment, poor customer service will never be tolerated by me. I want to feel like I am welcomed and appreciated for choosing your store to patronize and spend my money. I have always felt guilty going to these Asian owned hair stores knowing their history of treating their black clients like trash, but build and feed their families off of our communities without giving back to the very community that supports them. This was the catalyst I needed to stop patronizing these business. You will never see a dime of my money again, and I hope others wake up. Y'all need additional customer relations training, you know, the Chick fil A model.
