Mike and I met through the BNI Liaisons Chapter in Anaheim, CA this past year and I've had the pleasure of working with him on some projects and events relating to the Elastik Marketing Group, a collective of creative businesses serving small businesses. Mike is a SUPER nice guy, and very easy to work with! He stayed in the background at our wedding, yet captured all the great moments without us even realizing he as there. The videos are awesome! As a wedding vendor, I know the importance of working with quality professionals and understand the differences their roles make. So, beyond the quality of wedding cinema that Mike and the Mission Visual team provides (which, goes without saying, is friggin FABULOUS), he is an OUTSTANDING professional and goes above and beyond whenever he can. EXAMPLE: I shot a wedding with him a few months ago and the slideshow (the couple had made) for the reception wasn't working. Mike had his second shooter cover the dancing/events while he worked like crazy to miraculously fix the slideshow and make it play-able. It was really important to the couple because it was a tribute to the bride's father who had passed, and Mike saved the day by getting it to play later at the reception. I was a wedding planner in my former life, but left the industry because working every weekend got to be such a total bummer! Anyway, in the 5 years I was working the Orange County wedding circuit, I got to know many wedding vendors - some which were totally awesome, and some, not so awesome. We LOVE Mission Visual!! I had pretty much had my heart set on booking Mission Visual. Once my husband met Mike for our meet and greet, he understood why I was so determined to book him. Mike is genuinely passionate about his work and is incredibly talented!! On the day of the event he and his assistant (Solomon) instantly made both families and close friends feel comfortable with their presence. For the most part we barely noticed them, which was nice, because some of the weddings I have attended it was like the paparazzi were following the wedding party and getting in the way of the guests. I met mike through electra cruises yachts for my wedding. I worked with Mike yesterday and I have got to say I really enjoyed working with him. He is a true professional and Lord knows that hard to find (I had experienced other unprofessional people yesterday). He wasn't in the way with a big old video camera, he had a small camera-I almost forgot he was there.
