I recently had Erin do a Boudoir photo shoot for me. I will be giving the photos to my soon to be husband as a gift at our wedding next week. I can not recommend Erin enough! She did an amazing job, my photos are absolutely beautiful. I can hardly believe the girl in the pictures is me! I did a lot of research prior to booking with Erin. I really wanted to obtain a certain look of classy/flirty and she hit the nail on the head. I found that a lot of other photographers I researched had photos that seemed staged, too provocative for my taste, or just cheesy. I loved how Erin's photos appeared sexy, yet respectful of the woman being photographed. Many of the pictures showed smiling images rather than a "sexy" stare into the camera. That translates into a subject that looks comfortable in front of the camera, rather than a forced look on her face that seems uncomfortable. I loved this! I also noticed the creativity of her shoots, not every picture was of a girl in lingerie. For Boudoir she often uses sweaters or t-shirts in place of lingerie and it turns out amazing! I like how she thinks out of the box and helped me realize that my guy might find these just as pretty as typical sexy lingerie. She was wonderful before the shoot, sending me many extensive emails regarding what she recommends for outfit and jewelry options. That really helped me narrow down the choices to wear the most flattering options and things that really would show off my personality. She also sent really helpful tips ahead of time. For example, she said no tanning prior to the shoot. It can turn out orange on camera. So glad she told me, I was planning on a spray tan the day before the shoot! She really gives good advice to get you ready for your big day. I loved the package options she has as well. She offers everything from basic with one outfit change, to more elaborate with multiple outfits. If you chose a package that includes hair and makeup, take advantage. Her makeup artist, Lindsay, is AMAZING. Can I repeat, AMAZING? I even hired her to help with my wedding day makeup. She not only does a great job, but gives you lots of good application tips along the way. My makeup has never looked so great, and I have had my makeup done many times before. During the actual shoot Erin was great. She helped me with how to pose, relax and what lighting would be best. She was very professional and went above and beyond to take as many shots as she could to get me good photos. Laying around in lingerie is not as easy as it looks! She was able to get me a preview of all of my photos very quickly, within a couple of weeks. She also sent sneak peeks during that time because she knew I was dying to see them all! Every picture she had me chose from was gorgeous. I don't think she took a bad photo! I am a very regular girl, with an average body and I was shocked at how great the poses she had me in made me look. I couldn't stop staring at the pictures. She really helped me narrow down the best ones to put together an album for my fiancee. She then put together a gorgeous album that flows really well. I would recommend Erin not only for Boudoir, but also for any other photos you may need. Even if you don't feel comfortable in your lingerie, see her for a simple makeover photo shoot. You will be amazed at how great it makes you feel, and what a great product you will get from her. I am a week away from my wedding and at dinner tonight my soon to be hubby said a guy at work received these really cool photos from his wife recently. He said he told him he wished I would do them for him someday, but he knew I never would because I was so shy. All I could do is smile, little does he know what he will get as a gift next week! Erin has a gift. Yes, her photography and vision skills are a gift, her beautiful smile that puts you at ease is a gift, her hard work and professionalism is a gift too but I speak about something else. It is a gift that is hard to name but she can create a transformation in a person. She with ease takes women from our everyday life of ho-hum and transforms them into a beauty that belongs in magazines. A transformation that starts on the outside and seeps to our insides little by little giving confidence where it was once lost. I came across Erin's work awhile back and loved it and evaluated it over and over again. I was taken by the beauty and simplicity of her work. I would look at the before and after shots and be amazed. I also told myself I would never do boudoir photos, ever. I wasn't beautiful enough for that or comfortable enough with my body for that either. But I would still sit and stare at the beauty she'd create. These women, glowed! As time went on I decided I needed to feel and look that beautiful just once and realized it was only Erin I trusted to try and bring that out in me. I contacted her and arranged for an appointment and immediately regretted it. Thoughts flooded my mind: "I couldn't do that! I would never look that good! I cant get undressed in front of anyone, why did I schedule this?". But, I embraced it and started to have fun with the planning. I went for my session and the time with Erin flew by. Yes I was a little tentative, I was a little out of my element but this is where Erin's gift comes in. She never once made me feel uncomfortable. Her gentle directions were easy to understand and we had fun. When I saw the final results I was completely blown away. I was for once in my life proud of my looks. I cried at the viewing appointment and then spent the rest of the day with my husband looking at the photos over and over again. I couldn't believe that was me! I have many times looked at Erin's beautiful work and thought, "Wow, if only I could look that good" I know now being one of her clients feels as wonderful as I thought it would! read more

I have to admit, I was a bit skeptical when this kind of opportunity was presented to me. I am not one to be flashy or sexy or even revealing in any kind of way!! I thought, if anything, my husband would like it. So when I actually agreed to do this photo shoot, I had no idea what to expect. All I can say, I would do it again in minute!!! Not only did Erin Michelle produce the most beautiful (and tasteful) pictures, the entire experience was so fun!! Erin Michelle was professional, she made me feel comfortable, beautiful and sexy. And the pictures show it!!! She guided me, she talked me through it, she told me what looked good. She captured features, poses and expressions I didn't know I had. On the other hand, the group of girls I was with...some I already knew, some I just met...some serious girl fun!!! Champagne, makeup, music, laughing, girl talk...it was TOTAL fun!!! Erin is an absolutely amazing photographer!! Not only does she take beautiful pictures, she makes you feel completely comfortable in your skin. I did a boudior session with Erin about a month ago. I wanted surprise my husband with a photo album on our wedding day. I have neve done anything like that before and was very nervous. Erin made the entire experience so wonderful!!!!! She made me laugh and made me feel completely comfortable and got excellent shots. She has a great eye for flattering angles and poses and puts together beautiful albums! I wish I would have been able to use her for our wedding photography. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a top of the line photographer...you will not be disappointed! I've worked with Erin twice now. Once in the summer, and once in the fall. The first shoot we did was a fun, outside, bohemian type shoot; and the second shoot we did was a polar opposite of the first. We went with a red and black leather, BOLD look. It was interesting to switch gears so drastically, but it showed how versatile Erin is as a photographer. Both of the times that I've worked with Erin were so fun and so easy. Erin does an excellent job making you feel confident and comfortable in front of the camera. Every picture that was taken of me turned out great and they were edited with great quality. I just married a photographer... but wanted to do boudoir photos for him to give to him on our wedding night. I went to Erin Blackwell Studio. Not only were the extra services provided amazing (hair & make-up by amazinb Aveda stylists as well as a welcoming environment, snacks/drinks and music!), but the whole experience was so comfortable and fun! This is truly an amazing experience! I was hesitant, at first, being that I shy away from most photo ops, but Erin made me feel beautiful and most of all, comfortable in my skin. I decided to do a Boudoir photo shoot for my husband for our anniversary. It turned out to be one of the top 5 best things I have ever done for MYSELF! From the beginning Erin was very sweet and helpful. She happily answered any and every question I had. I was very nervous and shy about the photo shoot. The Boudoir Maven was SO easy to work with and my pictures are beautiful. I had taken boudoir pics with other photographers before and was only 'somewhat' pleased with the pictures.
