In November, 2019, Dr. Wyant, and the entire office, moved from the Georgetown Medical Plaza to Marsh Road in Intech Park off of West 71st Street. Dr. Wyant, and group, is now with the Optum Network. Dr. Wyant has been my Primary Care Physicians (PCP) for many, many years and I still highly recommend him. He has absorbed some retiring physicians patients so his wait time has increased but I take that into consideration on my personal calendar and scheduling. He's so worth it since he gives all his patients the necessary time while still being efficient and productive. He truly cares about the health and well being of his patients. The new location sets back off Marsh Road, is a one level building and has ample parking. As you enter through the automatic sliding doors you're directly standing in the lobby. The same smiling faces you knew at the old office greet you as you enter. The charming office waiting room is large, brightly lite and I personally enjoyed the new comfortable chairs. The convenient internal lab was relocated with the office so no need to find a new lab for lab orders from your doctor. The new lab is much larger than the old closet size lab. Just remember this lab is for in-house Optum doctor's orders only. The new location is closer for some and farther for others but honestly only 10-15 minutes from the old office off Georgetown Road. Easy on/off access off 465 onto West 71st Street exit.

He always finds a way to squeeze me in if I am sick or on a tight schedule. When I was on vacation in Florida and came down with strep throat, he called in a Rx for me. Sometimes you do have to wait 10 -15 mins. to be seen if your appointment is later in the day.

He can't retire. But he's referring me to a new doctor - who - so far has had good reviews. And he appears to be younger so he may outlast me. Sad thing is that when American Health Network was bought out by Optum (who is owned by United HealthCare) there were over 400 doctors, now down to about 150. That tells me the UHC really doesn't care about patients, only the bottom line. I really wish they hadn't sold out but my other doctor is now with Community and I don't want anything to do with that network. So that's why I say - "maybe"

I mean please don't let my person interrupt your bit** session... could you maybe look at my arm as you stick the needle in there? Maybe see what your are doing as you change the vials? A few years ago my wife and I were looking for a doctor to take our daughter to. She heard good things about Dr. Swenberg. Come to find out; Dr. Swenberg and Dr. Edwards were partners at The Village Doctors, so this worked out great. Dr. Swenberg is extremely great with our daughter and has always given us great advice. I received an appointment with Dr. Szewczyk (don't ask me how to pronounce it, I have no idea. I think it's Sedgewick). The experience was great. I wasn't kept waiting long, and I really liked her energy from the minute she walked in the room. Since I was a new patient, she went over my medical history, did a quick checkup, and wrote me a prescription for my cough. Then she asked me "Is there anything else I can help you with?" Now, that's not something I've ever heard from a doctor before!!! She also suggested some ways I could manage some of my issues with minor changes to what I was currently doing, rather than suggesting yet ANOTHER prescription. Very satisfied.

The nurse that took my blood was really personable and I barely even felt the needle. The location is a bit odd, but now that I know where it is, it won't be an issue. What I like most is that they promote natural and holistic approaches, when possible. That was what initially drove me in, having trouble with other local doctors not being well versed in current hormone replacement options. My only complaint is the length of time it takes them to call in prescriptions. The day of my appointment, I asked for a refill on a medication and it wasn't sent in until the next morning. When my bloodwork came back a few days later showing another deficiency that needed addressed, it took them 4 days and 2 phone calls to get it finally called in.

It is clean and the staff is friendly and welcoming. Dr. Romero-Cortez does a great job managing my care. He keeps up-to-date with medical information, and he is knowledgeable on a wide range of conditions. He never seems like he is in a rush and has great bedside manner. Dr. Schulte is the best pediatrician. She is great at answering questions and making a first time mom feel confident in her abilities. My son loves Dr. Schulte too! Both doctors, nurses, and support staff do a great job answering any questions I have through the portal. The portal makes it easy for me to feel like I can trust my care providers and reach them in a timely manner. The only complaint I have is that it can be hard to get an appointment at times. However, knowing this, I do my best to schedule in advance. In the case of an emergency, there is also an Immediate Care Center in the same location for such situations.
