This place is solid. I wanted to upgrade to a truck for a long time and these guys helped with that. They knew my requests and fulfilled them in a timely and professional manner when it came to the things that needed to be tidied up. These guys are not what you see at dealerships, and they are straight to the point and will take care of you. With that, we obtained a outstanding 2012 Ford F-150 XLT 5.0L V8 4X4. Once again, thank you guys and wish the best for your shop. read more

Bogue Auto Sales - Car Dealers Near Me - Newport, North Carolina

On Saturday, 8/1/26 I drove nearly two hours to this dealership intending to purchase a 2002 Dodge Ram Van 1500 listed on their website for $6,700. I was paying cash and prepared to buy it that day. When I arrived, Andrew told me the van had been there about three months and they were ready for it to sell. He said they had received a lot of interest, but no one had followed through. I was there to follow through. Unfortunately, the van wouldn't stay running. Even after jumping the battery, I couldn't test drive or purchase it. Andrew also mentioned possible carbon buildup, which raised additional concerns about the engine. Andrew apologized for wasting my trip, took my number, and assured me multiple times they would "do right by me." He said they would get the van into their shop, get it running, and follow up. Before leaving, I brought up the $6,700 price because the windshield showed $8,900. Andrew insisted it wasn't $6,700 until I showed him the price on their own website. He acknowledged he didn't realize it had been reduced that much, but said if $6,700 was the listed price, that was absolutely the price. That was Saturday. By Wednesday, I had received no call/text. I checked their website and found the same van relisted for $7,400 I left a negative review because the experience felt dishonest. I had made a nearly four hour round trip as a serious cash buyer, was promised follow up, and instead discovered the vehicle relisted at a higher price. I have screenshots showing the $6,700 price on 8/1 and $7,400 price on 8/5. After posting this review, Andrew called me Thursday 8/6. He said the battery had been replaced and the van was now good to go. When I questioned the higher price, he said they didn't know how $6,700 had ever been listed and that it should never have been that price. A few hours later, I told Andrew the back and forth on pricing had turned me off and I wasn't comfortable paying more after driving there specifically to purchase it for $6,700. I thanked him for calling and even removed this review. Later that day, Andrew called back after speaking with his manager. He said that in order to "do right by me," they wanted to honor the original $6,700 price. I appreciated that and immediately accepted. I told him I wanted the van and would be there first thing Saturday morning to pick it up. Then Friday afternoon, less than 24 hours later, Andrew texted me saying another buyer had gone to the bank for cash and was "99%" likely to purchase the van that day. I was shocked. Had I known the van wasn't being held after I accepted their offer, I could have rearranged my schedule and gone Friday. Andrew then told me they don't hold vehicles or accept deposits. I understand a no-hold policy. What I don't accept is how it was handled here. I had already driven nearly two hours each way to buy this van the previous weekend, and THEY were unprepared to sell it because it wouldn't stay running. Had the vehicle been purchase ready when advertised, it would already have been mine. Given those circumstances, "doing right by me" could have meant holding it until Saturday morning, allowing me to make a deposit, or at the very least clearly telling me that despite accepting their offer, the van remained first come, first served. None of that happened. Andrew then explained that they have a lot of vehicles, so he couldn't have known this one wasn't purchase ready, and he didn't know I was coming from so far away. That's unacceptable to me. A dealership not knowing whether a vehicle it has advertised for sale can actually be driven off the lot is not the customer's responsibility. After this entire experience, it's difficult not to feel that "doing right by me" only applied until someone else was willing to buy the van at the higher relisted price. I intend to submit a complaint to the appropriate consumer protection agencies regarding the dealership's advertising, pricing, and handling of this transaction. read more

Recently purchased a Jeep Wrangler. About 5 days after we had it the check engine light came on and the brake light looks like it was constantly pressed. No way it should of passed inspection. They told us they would fix it for free. They called and let me know they maked shift the brake pedal because if they would of fixed it the correct way it would of been a very tedious and long process but now 2 weeks later the car is broken again. The brake lights stay constantly on. We called to have them fix it again and they wouldn't without paying them. Saying we used our freebie and bought it as is. Sad because this is the primary car I use for my kids and if I knew the brake lights did not work properly I would of never bought it. read more

NO BUSINESS ETHICS. So I'll just tell the story and let the reader be the judge. I found here a car I was looking for, i talked to a salesman, agreed upon a price, gave them my info to start the paperwork. I was happy and excited about that car, I was searching for a while for it. One week later everything was exactly the same, given all kind of reasons about financing or DMV. I even offered to go there and pay cash, just to ease the process, but I was told "it's not necessary, everything is approved, we're working on it". So I decided to be patient and give them more time. And then, few days later I get a call from the salesman saying "We sold your car". Just like that, end of story. You cannot even imagine how disappointed and frustrated I felt after almost two weeks of hassle and phone calls and time wasted. This place should be named BOGUS Auto Sales, that would be perfectly accurate. read more

I am pleased with the treatment I received when buying my new Truck. thanks for being flexible and patient with me.

Need a used car? Go see Andrew at Bogue he will work with you to make sure you leave with the car or truck you want. He doesn't just sell it to you and forget you. Have questions or concerns after the sale, he's there for you! can't say enough great things about him! Sadly once you have the vehicle might want to find someplace else to get it serviced. Very disappointed in the service dept. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Bogue Auto Sales and the people who work there. I've been a stay at home mom my entire life, and I have always depended on going car shopping with my husband. This included having-him talk to salesman, and eventually negotiating a price for me. We recently relocated to Swansboro North Carolina. We fell in love with the coastal small-town charm. The only issue was that we were sharing one vehicle (a truck),so we decided to look for a lower priced car for me. I was determined to find the perfect car for the perfect price and do it all by myself, without my husband's help, and stay under $9999! I drove around and test drove cars in Morehead city, and was less than thrilled with the experiences. While driving back to Swansboro I stopped in this little gem of a place called Bouge Auto Sales in Newport, NC. I was greeted by a friendly sales man with kind eyes RJ and I told him of my requirements and situation. With absolutely no pressure, he took me around to see the cars that fit my criteria. This is the part of the story where I fall in love ha ha Ha. All kidding aside the last car I saw was a perfect car for me. It was beautiful inside and out and once I got in it, I never wanted to leave! Anyways, I was able to negotiate the price myself with the finance lady (Darlene), she was also amazing and friendly:). Never once did I feel pressured or uncomfortable, if anything it felt Homey. Fast forward four months later (yesterday). My car was due for her first oil change (They included 4 when I bought her). OK my husband made an appointment and while he was there the service manager informed my husband that we had a nail in the tire. He also told him that he was going to try and patch it but he didn't feel comfortable sendingaid on our way with those tires. He then told my husband that he was ordering 4 brand new tires for us and to come back tomorrow! This was all free of charge! What a blessing :-). If you are new to this area or if you have lived here your entire life, and are in need of a new vehicle this is a place to come! You get a small town feel, great price, and genuine people who CARE, helping you through-out! Thank you to everyone at Bogue Auto Sales for everything you have done for us. Got our 2nd great car there in a year. First 1 for my son and was so impressed I just purchased my car from them at a great price. Then the service manager was so nice when I brought my car back for a few minor things we caught after purchasing, like the regular service light came on shortly after we bought it, he not only offered to do it, but changed the oil and made sure everything was top notch for me. This made me feel extremely safer due to I drive with my kids in the car. Since it was going to take a few hours to get done, he drove me home so I didnt have to sit at the dealership and he had to go that way anyway. He also didnt judge me on my zero knowledge of car parts especially diesel and referred to things as Fluidmoobobber, and Thingamajigs. I will definitely be returning for my service and car purchasing needs as well as referring friends and family. read more

My husband and I recently bought a Ford Edge 2018. We pulled up and Bill, one of their salesman, came out and greeted us. Conversing with him I saw there was no pressure, no hype, nor any bull. We test drove then left. Decided that night to purchase car. We were able to apply for financing online so they could get all paperwork done before we even got there next morning. It was literally the easiest car purchase we have ever made in almost 30 years. We showed up and about 30 min later left in the car. Amazing! We appreciated Bill and the process was so painless! We were both very impressed with this car dealership. read more

I have been told that when the FBI train agents how to recognize counterfeit money that, rather than draw their attention to a myriad of fakes, they thoroughly train them how to recognize the characteristics of that which is authentic. Logically, everything else is counterfeit. Unquestionably Nate Libertone is the standard against which others should be compared for authenticity. At no point in time did I have the sensation that I was dealing with a salesman. Rather it was like dealing with a brother, of the best kind for those of you with dysfunctional ones. His manner was relaxed and personable. I never had the sensation that I was "being played." Instead, he responded professionally and accurately to inquiries and genuinely sought to match me with the very best vehicle and deal possible. This is a first in my decades of vehicle shopping. I recommend him enthusiastically and without reservation. Quite simply, he, not the vehicle, is the "REAL DEAL"! Tell him Mike sent you. read more
