Came here to watch some ncaa greatness in action because I didn't want to scream in my own house life some odd ball. Upon walking in I received a warm greeting. I sat at the bar and the game wasn't one but no problem because a simple request made it happen and I was in action. The bartender was solid as a concrete wall and made sure I was taken care of. Worst policies ever! Got here at 12:50 was told by female bartender they do not hand out pool tables after 12:45, most pool halls charge by the 1/2 hour to hour so clearly plenty of billable time. Ordered a drink and found a guy playing alone who was willing to play against my boyfriend. All the sudden a male bartender or manager comes up and tell him your on billable pool time now like WTF we came to play together we not allowed but now you want to bill him for playing. Had such a great time tonight here! I haven't shot pool probably for 10-12 years but I somehow managed to win a few rounds! Upon walking in, I was impressed by how spacious and clean the place was. We were immediately greeted and given instructions and balls to play. Pricing was $5/person per hour. That's a great deal. We didn't have any drinks today as we just had a pretty heavy meal. The hall is large and clean and the pool tables are well maintained. I really like the laid back atmosphere, great music and fantastic staff. While I have not yet played in any of their tournaments, they look like a lot of fun. Would recommend for anyone wanting to play pool, with or without alcohol. They have the best Diet Coke and soda water around. read more

Our recent visit to Bogies was unforgettable. About 6 friends, my fiance and myself, came out and had one of the most memorable times we've had in a long time. The atmosphere was comfortable. The staff was excellent. Our drinks were always on time. Bogies had AMI JUKEBOX which allowed us to play all our favorite songs. Ladies don't worry about the powder room because it stays spotless all night. I would reccomend Bogies West to anyone whose out to shoot some pool with good friends and have a good time. This is a nice pool hall, good tables, nice bar, friendly staff, overall decent play to play and drink. Yet it's completely ruined by them allowing smoking inside. You will leave smelling like smoke. So can't really say I recommend the place and I would rather go somewhere less fancy just to avoid the smoke. However if you are a smoker you will probably like it. So . . . this review breaks my heart, to say the least. I've lived just down the street from this place for almost 10 years, and it's technically what made me want to be a more serious pool player. I love this pool hall for its tables. But unfortunately, management has allowed this place to become a mini-gang/clique establishment. If you're coming to play as a one-off . . . meaning you don't own your own cue (or cues), you don't have a carrying case . . . like a serious player with professional equipment . . . and don't play regularly, either every week at minimum or every other week . . . then this place is PERFECT FOR YOUR (don't frequent this establishment) - come and play once every other year and be HAPPY. This place is absolute junk for serious players who are not gutter trash gamblers - in terms of Karma, Juju, whatever you want to call it . . . but if you ain't in tha club . . . you get bounced. Adam is normally a great manager - he's got tha stuff to be a great manager - but lately, his choices in employees has shown that the discipline for service to the general public is not the priority. And knowing when 'regulars' are 'problem clientele' in fact, are problems for regular business - is a problem for the betterment of legitimate profitability. I'm now forced, after almost a decade of patronage, to seek a new establishment. I've spent several thousand dollars in this particular location, and I will not be spending another cent in the future. I used to enjoy this place immensely. But now, I'd rather purchase my own table than be subject to such abusive douche-bag-ery. Spend your money in a place that values your business, because this place is just milking the general local naive market, and will never grow to be any better than what it is - scummy . . . .with roaches in every table. I've been comp'd more than a handful of drinks for roaches at my side table - BTW. I only now call it out because 'management' doesn't care about 'paying players'. They only care about bums hanging around for a free game off of paying players. Watch your wallets, and be prepared to be thrown out by management on behalf of 'regular gamblers' who are tight with management, and will get you thrown out . . . once 'they' [the gamblers] get pissed - that they're not making money fast enough off of you. This is a great place to practice your pool game. They have plenty of tables and cues. Pretty much every table size 8ft 9ft and bar size. The drink prices are very reasonable. The staff was friendly. They also bring the drinks to you at the pool table. Will be going back for sure. read more

Overall a nice place to shoot pool. The pool hall has a full bar and the lady behind the counter made me a nice surfer on acid drink for me. More than 20 Brunswick pool tables with blue cloth and the tables play nice. Breaks good and balls roll as they should on a well maintained pool table. There's TVs showing sports and even a jukebox if you need some background music playing. Paid about $11 for an hour of table time and the drink. Friendly staff. If you want to play pool, a great place to go if that's all you want to do. Smoking even taking a drag and blowing smoke out over the table will get you yelled at. They will change the music (even if you pay for it) if the bartender at that time doesn't like it. Pretty expensive as they charge you per person, and per hour. Thoroughly satisfied with this place. They know my dad by name and treat him like family which I love. It might be that he's a well known pool player in the Houston area but that's besides the point haha. Bar has a great variety of beers and there's plenty of tables so you don't have to wait to play. Love Bogies! Everyday from 10:30am to 6:pm it's only 5 dollars! That's basically all day! They even have tournaments every week! I know a lot of people that comes here and just shoot pool, but the down part is that it smells like smoke...and it's strong so if you can't take that smoke smell then I suggest that you shouldn't come here...but overall table is nice and clean a lot of house cues as well. I love this place. It is a genuine pool hall. Not a sports bar with some tables. Pros shoot alongside people just out for the night. The tables are nice and well taken care of. It is clean and has a full bar as well. The service is excellent and lends a friendly feel to the place. Adam and Alex are solid bartenders and will take good care of you.
