Shopping in Shoppers Drug Mart…read more Here's one for the books ... Upon arriving at this store today in Port Colborne being September 17th at 5:00 pm. A young girl was stocking shelves when I asked her if there were any more of the items left in stock that were specifically on sale, she asked me "why I didn't want to buy the other smaller full priced items of the same brand (‍???) Anyway , she looked and then told me I can aquire a rain check . And then she said "your purse is open" . I said "Oh Thankyou. It's because I have so much in it. " Thinking she may have been worried I might lose something . So I zipped it up as best as I could. And then proceeded down another isle to look for another product . I took out my phone because I couldn't read the small print on the boxes and I wanted to check the strength of ingredients to compare name brand versus life brand. To which another woman approached me and said " Excuse me mam, but you were "told NUMEROUS times to close your purse " I looked at her like she had two heads . I said the girl mentioned to me that my purse was open and I thanked her and closed it , but just went in it to get my phone. She didn't mention this was now a "store policy" or anything of that nature and frankly I was very insulted by the insinuation that I was shop lifting. So that being said I left the item on the counter with the pharmacist and approached both of them and said I was taking my phone out again to compare products . But then I realized ... I didn't need to buy it there at all and I left without purchasing anything from them and went to their competitors. Cause you know since I was born and raised in this town this isn't how we treat people. Next time... I'll dress up as the professional that I am with business attire , hair and makeup done and not show up after working outside all day, maybe that will make a difference on how I am treated . SMH !!! Oh ... so I relayed the story to the "competition " asking if this is now a "new in store shopping policy" to which she replied no it's not, and "I am so sorry that this happened to you , that is just wrong". And then told me to write a YELP review! So ... here it is .

We changed to Shoppers due to longer hours on weekends that Boggio no longer offers. My wife and I have been there several times now and very impressed with the staff and pharmacy staff. I will be honest that the first time I called the person I spoke to did not have the most friendly costumer service. Since stopping in to fill my prescription, they staff have been very courteous and very friendly. Even the person who answered the phone was very pleasant. We have to remember we are all human and we all have Off days. I think we have to remember that we dealing with customer service. The staff deal with so many different people and some are not feeling their best when coming into the store and I have seen some people give the staff attitude and a hard time. I have my own business and with 8 employees and we all know about attitude. This location has a great team there and yes there is always room for improvement but this goes for staff and customers. This Walgreens has lost or messed up 3 of 7 prescriptions that we have had called in over the last 4 months. One, I went through the drive thru and they said they didn't have it. So I called the pediatrician's office and they said they called it in. I went inside to double check and the guy behind the counter found that it was in there but had been deleted for some reason. One, I had a family member go in to pick my scripts as I was at home sick, they said they had three scripts (which was right) but then they only gave her two and told her that if the third one was really mine I would need to come back in and get it. It was just prescription strength vitamin D. I went back in the next day and they claimed they never had the third prescription. After this last time I have change pharmacies. I would not recommend this pharmacy.

I thought that going to the pharmacy was an experience that everyone hated and that all pharmacy employees acted like you were a burden until I switched and realized that it's just this place. Yes, it's open 24 hours which sounds convenient but don't fall for it. It's not worth it.

I had my receipt to prove my purchase however the manager informed me she would not be able to reimburse me for half of the cost because the computer system will not recognize half of the amount.
