I had a follow up visit with my doctor today (June 1, so 4 months later) and he was surprised by how much mobility I have regained (actually said 'Wow! 100% better!') and how much my pain is reduced. He told me I didn't need to come back to him because I was on 'auto-pilot now' and to just keep doing the massage therapy and stretches and I should be fine. He had initially recommended physical therapy which I tried for 6 weeks but that didn't seem to be helping my mobility or pain and in some respects appeared to be making things worse. That's when I started looking for an alternative, and although massage therapy is not traditionally covered by health insurance, it actually cost me less than my co-pays for physical therapy and has been worth every penny. I handed my doctor a stack of Cecile's business cards today and he took them and thanked me. I would not hesitate to recommend Cecile and Morningstar Therapeutics to anyone dealing with muscle stiffness or pain, and especially anyone with frozen shoulder. She's the expert!

I've been visiting the H&WC for about 6 years and I try to go at least 2-3 times throughout the year - only because I read that it's bad to get alignments every month. Every visit is for a tune-up which includes a Swedish hands-on massage, acupuncture, cupping, heat therapy and an alignment. You walk in as tight and wound-up as possible and come out walking on clouds. Unlike when I see a doctor, Mrs. Anabel Roque had plenty of time to consult with me and explain things and answer questions. I went in for acupuncture but I also had cupping done (on my back). It was my first time getting both cupping and acupuncture. I don't like needles and I was definitely scared, but during the treatments everything actually went very well. It was really easy to communicate and ask for adjustments for my comfort. Honestly I feel like this service was inexpensive for the amount of time and quality of care. The facility is clean and quiet. In the treatment room, there is ambient music playing at all times. For the appointment, I wore loose-fitting clothing. For both treatments, I only needed to remove my shirt and socks, but not my pants and not my bra. Overall I am very satisfied and will return!
