I felt very emotional and Ken and the virtual OT were both extremely patient, kind, and incredibly knowledgeable. Anything I said he had 3 solutions ready immediately to make the chair meet my needs. I'm actually looking very forward to getting my chair and hopefully hanging out with him again. His jovial nature felt like a visit with a friend and nothing at all like the reality which was an incredible intricate and detailed medical interrogation followed by selecting an object that could change my life for the better. Thank you, Ken! You ARE Kenough! :) I feel like the next steps forward will be so much easier with him in my corner. Like that uncle you call who can figure out why your shower is leaking and fix it in two seconds. Then you play cards and talk for a while. Totally chill and light hearted. It was so hard to talk about my weaknesses and needs but he really understood and helped. The virtual OT as well but I can't recall her name. She was patient and focused. They walked the line of buddies and professionals perfectly. We finished everything we needed, got all the numbers, and did it all within the planned timeframe despite me subconsciously trying to chit chat about happier things (as opposed to my limitations). They were sensitive and really seemed highly motivated to help. That's not my normal medical experience. So, I decided on this review. TL:DR Ken is the bomb!

Rio even helped me load up the Landcruiser and showed me how to remove the backrest of the wheelchair. I appreciate their patience and understanding, this is a very stressful time in our lives, transferring Mom from skilled nursing to assisted living. Having capable friendly service oriented employees really goes a long way in this world of impersonal transactions. I have finally found my forever pharmacy!…read more I had been a customer of Bartell's for many, many years, and was bummed when Rite Aid bought them and more-or-less put them out of business. It took a long while to find a replacement pharmacy, especially one that would honor my insurance. (The latter bit ended up being surprisingly difficult!). Anyway, no problems transferring my prescription to their shop. Their staff walked me through the process and were very helpful. They honored my insurance, so my regular prescription cost me nothing (as it had at Bartell's). Staff was helpful on the phone and in person. I think a lot of people are transferring prescriptions to Katterman's since the pharmacy staff seemed slammed when I went in. But no problems, they took the time to help me. Only confusing bit: you pick up the prescription at a counter at the back of the store, where the pharmacists work. You then take it up to the front counter to "pay" for it, even if you have no co-pay. I think I understand the process now, but the two-step process seemed a little odd (since, again, I owed nothing). But everyone was helpful, so no worries! My new pharmacy! What a relief to have one, and for it to be a nice little local shop.
