We were told it should not be a problem on a Tuesday night & were excited! Joann was so friendly when we checked in. She went over the box & the WOD with us, reassuring us we can scale as needed. She was so friendly & nice. The WOD was intense, but we needed it after eating out for almost a week. I had so much energy after & know I will be sleeping incredibly well! Everyone taking the class was also so nice & friendly! Thank you again!

Trainers are great there and really push you too your limit. My only downfall with this place is the price, it seems to have slipped their minds that we are in a recession with prices increased in the last two years by i think around 10 to 20 euros (Don't quote me on the amount). In saying that I would still recommend it to anyone that wanted to loose weight or just wanted to increase fitness levels, it will work!!!

It is a gorgeous ride-up the mountain, down the mountain, and along the beach. We rode along the beach when the tide was out and also hit a grassy dunes area. We did the two hour ride by the way, and it was just right. They use English saddles, which was different for us, as we had only ridden Western before. But it was not hard to adjust. There was lots of trotting. Perhaps more experienced riders could canter. I highly recommend it.

What I did know was that riding a horse in such a beautiful place had to be a "must do". I had heard so much about the Ring of Kerry, that I decided to look for a place we could ride on the beach. I feel so fortunate that we found EREC. I sent an email and heard back quickly from Caroline who owns the place. She was very friendly and accommodating. We emailed back and forth and settled on the Friday before the Ring of Kerry Cycle that was happening the following day. We rearranged our travel so we could be down there a day early and I'm so glad we did. We arrived at Noon and were greeted immediately by Caroline. She brought us upstairs and fitted us out with boots and helmets and we were ready to roll. The horses saddled and ready. We mounted up and headed out with Caroline and one of the young girls who work for her. The horses are all well taken care of and she puts you on the right horse for you based on your experience. The trek we took led us across some beautiful grass fields, into the sound (at low tide) where we cantered across the sand that mirrored the sky. It looked as though we were riding on top of the water. We rode through more beautiful field and then onto the white sand beach where the water is crystal blue. Caroline is quite friendly and we chatted about our mutual experience riding horses. She once rode show jumpers and on the track. She was also a groom for the Irish National Team during the '84 Olympics in Los Angeles. We went out for what seemed like just over an hour and we saw so much. It was the perfect trek. You forget when you haven't ridden how much work riding is on the legs. I forget the name of her dog, a Terrier/Collie mix. Cutest Dog ever. Loves it when you kick a rock for her. She chases after it and then attacks it. Drives everyone there crazy, but fun for visitors. Price is more than reasonable and I left her a little more than a 10% tip for the excellent service and conversation. If your in the south of Ireland, DON'T MISS THIS PLACE.

Having done a few escape rooms at home in Chicago I was excited to try this one. We escaped 'The Black Valley' room and it was such a fun challenge. The room was very well put together with such an entertaining Irish twist to what we are use too. The puzzles were challenging and really get the mind going but we were well guided through by our host Frank. Both Phillip and Frank (the owners) were very friendly to talk too after we finished and told us how they thought up this original idea. They also had great suggestions for where we could unwind for a few drinks after the mental challenge which was much appreciated! Cheers guys!

First the lake, this lake reminds me of a volcano, if you looked at it from far away you would think that it's the crater or a big volcano that just happens to have a lake in it instead of lava. Unfortunately it's not volcanic; it's a glacially formed lake. There are nice walks you can do around the lake and the views really are magnificent. If you are driving to the lake you certainly need to be skilled at getting up hills though. This goes for walking to the lake to by the way! There is no such thing as a flat road when you are heading up here! For me it's the road that is the exciting bit!

We chose the tourist route for pics and easy access to the waterfall. A decent size waterfall and worth the trek. Lots of tourist buses park here. Many horse carriage rides available in the park. Not a supporter of that business. But, you'll see beautiful cows grazing the pastures near the MuckRoss house . All in all , we hiked approximately 10 + miles that day!
