She takes her profession and the well-being of her customers very seriously. Before my 1st appointment, nights were spent with leg and back pain; day's were filled with fatigue because I couldn't sleep; personal life and career both effected. I decided to try a massage therapist because the muscle relaxants or ultrasound I could expect from another doctor's visit had not worked. I went on Yelp and picked Mapi because she sounded sincere. I'm glad I did! During my 1st appointment, I explained and we talked but, most important to me, Mapi listened. After a few visits I was sleeping straight through the night. The stress of my work is also now under control as I see Mapi regularly. My thirty five year old career is still very stressful but I feel 10-years younger; all thanks to Mapi! The atmosphere at Mapi's Unique Massage is no-rush and laid back. Access and parking are very convenient. Pricing is more than fair because, to me, the cost to feel relaxed or to enjoy a full nights sleep or to have a full, productive, day at the office are all priceless. Mapi's Unique Massage is definitely 5-Star and I recommend seeing Mapi to anyone interested in the experience of a totally relaxing massage from a truly professional massage therapist.

After 11-plus years living in downtown Chicago, I moved in with my Warrenville-based boyfriend just…read moreover a year ago. Massage has always been part of my self-care routine--when my body really needs it and I can afford it. We both gave up on Massage Envy years ago, when the prices kept going up, the best masseuses kept leaving, and the quality of the overall experience cratered. So I was on the hunt for a reliable place near us that wouldn't cost a fortune. After researching a bunch of places, I decided to give Spa Oasis in Naperville a try. And I'm so glad I did! Yes, it's in a strip mall and doesn't look like much from the outside. And yes, you won't be getting the fancy amenities of a spa. But you will get a blissful massage at a great price. A 90-minute deep-tissue massage for $115 is a shockingly good deal. (I paid close to $200 for 90 minutes at the fancy Chicago spa I used to frequent, making it a luxury gift I treated myself to only a few times a year.) Spa Oasis accepts walk-ins, but they also have a booking tool on their website that lets you select your preferred staff member (provided she's working that day). This is where things get a little frustrating--and why I'm giving Spa Oasis four stars instead of five ... Even when you request a specific staff member, you won't always get her. (We both love Sunny, so we always book a day/time when she's working so that one of us will benefit from her magic touch.) But the past two times we went in for a pre-scheduled couples massage with Sunny, neither of us got her. :( We also have regularly experienced the service disruptions other reviewers have mentioned, where one of the masseuses leaves in the middle of a treatment to answer the phone, direct a walk-in to come back at a later time, accept a delivery, etc. It would be great if they had a dedicated staffer to handle the administrative stuff so the masseuses didn't have to. That said: We are STILL talking about the massages we got a week ago from Lucia (the owner) and Tina. WOW! I've also had great experiences with Annie. As one of the other reviewers said, I want to go every single day. If only!

Thank you Cindy for providing the best massage I have ever received! Cindy started our session by asking questions about my problem areas and areas I'd like to focus on. I really appreciated how thorough she was to make sure that the massage was customized towards my specific needs, rather than giving me a generic massage. Different body types require different techniques! I also appreciated that she was able to adapt to my different levels of pressure that best suited my needs. Very attentive and thoughtful! I can handle more pressure on my back/shoulders but not as much on my legs. She was very accommodating and made sure that I had a great experience from start to finish. Not only was she able to provide me an amazing massage, but she also suggested different techniques and postures to help relieve stress on my back. I've received my fair share of massages, and Cindy is undoubtedly the best. It is evident that she is truly passionate about wellness and therapy for others. I currently live in Los Angeles but I would love to visit Cindy again anytime I am in Chicago. Well worth the drive from the city and every single penny! I also love the decor in her space. It was very clean and relaxing. The lobby has a cute space as well and the front desk lady was very nice! Free parking is definitely a plus and there's so many spots to park! She's located on the first floor too so no need to walk the stairs after the massage when you feel like you're walking on cloud 9. All I can say is WOW! I highly recommend Cindy's Massage.
