This gym is an Anytime Fitness, providing 24/7 access, but catered to a more serious/"hardcore"…read morelifter. The positives here is that the place is overall pretty quiet or even completely dead, so no wait times, etc. However, this location in Marana is an off shoot of their main spot way out on the east side, so it's more of an afterthought to them and it shows. The equipment there is a bit of a mixed bag in my opinion. They have a variety of specialty bars for powerlifting (SSB, cambered bar, etc.) which you just will not find at a typical gym. They do have tires and some strongman stuff, but at this location it's quite limited and really not all that impressive. However, many of the machines they have there are quite old/outdated and really clunky/uncomfortable to use, some even seemed a bit sketchy/dangerous to where it might fall apart their belt squat machine was one in particular. Some of the machines and equipment they have are literally home gym grade, which should not be at a gym open to the paying public. I wasn't a fan of some of the staff working there either, as their personal skills with customers/members felt really off to me. However, the way they have this place setup is where they just want you to show up to use THEIR equipment and leave with minimal or no interaction, so it's a bit understandable. With that said, they should definitely reconsider how they interact with potential/new(er) members if they want to retain them. When a new member is being friendly/talkative, going and turning your back on him is extremely rude. Overall, for what you are paying here you really aren't getting that much, and you would be better off just setting up your own home gym and/or just going to a regular commercial gym that offers a larger variety of amenities.

I was let go from this gym after speaking up about misconduct. That alone should tell you…read moreeverything. The training is solid, that's the only reason this is one star. But the culture is toxic in ways that took me a while to fully see. Staff who are married or in relationships openly engage in inappropriate behavior with members. That's the baseline here. What's not tolerated is being a serious, independent athlete with your own voice. I had ideas for the gym regarding gear, content, improvements, that were taken and pitched by others as their own. No credit, no acknowledgment. Your place here is determined by how compliant you are, not how hard you work or how talented you are. Speak up, and you're out. Most importantly: I would not send any young girl here. I raised concerns about staff behavior toward young female members and was removed for it. If a gym's response to someone speaking up about safety is to silence them, that is not a safe environment. I came here to train and compete. I left because I refused to stay silent. If you're a serious athlete, especially a young woman, you deserve better than this.

John Bassford and Chris Garner are incredible at the sport itself but also possess a seemingly endless supply of energy, patience, and eye for detail. They will not coddle you, but they also will not make you feel stupid as you learn. And learning is what they want you to do. It is hands on, you will work with others in the class respectfully, they insure that. There is a limit anyone can learn simply practicing alone or with someone who will not challenge them. This is not something you need to take into consideration at Undisputed. If you want to improve you will have to suffer the pain education brings with it. Undisputed understands this. They will not antagonize this inevitability. Any rivalry that springs into being from sparring is kept amicable. For those with lousy vocabularies this means respectful, friendly, maybe even fun. All skill levels are embraced and all are welcome. It is a rare community, a real community, a place where you become part of something greater and are free to roam and lift weights or tap into the dynamic teachers who are there. Finally, Cassie worked with me on payment plans and proved that not all gyms are rigidly fixed on taking your money. She was accomodating and fair. I do not know any other gyms that can be said about.

I dropped into CrossFit Fixx (Eastside) about a year ago while I was still new to Tucson, and there…read morewas a lot to like about the experience. The location is solid, the programming was well thought out, and the coach that day was knowledgeable and encouraging. The owner was also incredibly welcoming -- genuinely kind, present, and clearly passionate about what he's building here. The workout itself included both lifting and a short jog outside, which I actually enjoy as a change of pace. However, during that run, there was a moment that made me uncomfortable as a newcomer to the gym and to the city. I overheard a couple of members joking about and mocking Asian-sounding names. It may not have been intentional, but it landed poorly for me, especially as someone of Asian descent who was literally running just behind them. I want to be clear that this didn't feel like a reflection of the owner, the coaching, or the space itself -- more so a reminder of how important community awareness and inclusivity are, particularly in group fitness environments. As someone who values feeling safe and welcome when trying a new gym, that moment ultimately kept me from returning. That said, CrossFit Fixx has a lot going for it, and I truly believe it could be a great fit for the right people. I appreciated the warmth from leadership and the quality of the workout -- and I hope the culture continues to evolve in a way that makes everyone feel seen and respected. Another important thing is I'm in love class pass & Crossfit Fixx isn't available on Class Pass but I believe they do have a drop in fee.

After satisfying my initial screenings I reached out via email/online form to drop in for classes. I received a response within 2 hours which is far faster than responses I typically receive. The communication was concise, contained all of the information I needed and my options, and professionally written by the owner. First impressions mean a lot, and OPCF shines in this area. The whole place is clean, very well organized, and oozes with pride and personal touches put in by the owners and employees. I was also greeted by a huge smile from Dulcinea who promptly sent me on a 400m run (I was a little bit late from not knowing the area too well). Upon my return the whole process of warming up and explanation of the day was expertly done before we broke out to warm up and get into the strength portion of the day. The classes I attended in the morning were small, but the community has large personality. Everyone was super friendly and embraced me as a newcomer as if I had been a member there for years. One of the ways I determine the culture of a box is through the actions of the members. This is an establishment that obviously places emphasis on being supportive and welcoming to everyone who walks through the door, regardless of their ability level or goals. They offer at least 4 different programs (each offered through labeled classes on their schedule) that range from endurance to self-defense (and obviously CrossFit). All of this doesn't really matter if the coaches themselves are not knowledgeable or able to teach and coach members in a meaningful way. Within minutes I was getting great observations and movement tips from Dulcinea that helped me in a meaningful way and allowed me to hit a PR in my overhead squat of 220# (it was a 1RM day by chance!). She also took the time to observe and give me some pointers on the movements that were scheduled within the WOD and it can be refreshing to get some fresh pointers and PoV after being in the CrossFit community for over 6 years. Whether you are seeking a local place to enhance your overall fitness, increase your CrossFit abilities, find a supportive environment to reach your goals, or drop in to a CrossFit class while you are traveling OPCF is a choice you won't be disappointed in. With family in town I have found a location I can rely on whenever I'm visiting without any worry of schedule, flexibility of programming, or getting a great workout with a great group of people.

I was willing to do the six week challenge and then become a committed member once I saw results and felt like it was a good fit for me, but regardless of how they want to justify why they have you pay upfront...it's still FALSE Advertising.
