BEST MASSAGE EVER!!!!…read more I've have several massage therapists, saw a regular therapist for years, and always stop in on the random chair massage pop ups you see about. Needless to say, I feel qualified that I've experienced many styles, types, techniques and different people when it comes to massage therapy. I booked a 90 Minute Couples NSL Massage for my boyfriend and I on a whim. First Impression: The outside it adorable to walk up to and upon actually entering the premises we were blown away by the immediate feel of magic, ease and wonder all at once. I've seen many different aesthetics when it comes to decor yet this was otherworldly in a provocative and enchanting way. This feeling continues throughout the rest of the stay, room to room and into their gorgeous back courtyard! Point of Interest Number Two: The massage therapist made me feel instantly at ease and in capable, knowledge hands; safe. I instantly began to melt into the techniques he was using that I had never felt before. The entire massage was almost entirely new to me as far as style and I loved every single second of it. My boyfriend was equally in heaven with his therapist. I could go on for an essay's length about this world-class massage team we experienced right here in this hidden gem in Albany. I rarely right reviews, yet had to this time to spread the word about this amazing gift you will be giving any recipient of a service from this Spa! The insane part is the next day, instead of reverting to my natural hunched neck and slouched shoulders and general poor posture, he'd corrected and felt so many cracks in such a pleasantly releasing way), I continued to stand straight. I was walking with my shoulders squared back, chin high, NATURALLY. The man also fixed my friggin' posture! Trust me, you will 100% NOT be sorry you trusted this review.

During my 90 minute massage, Danica started with pressure point massage, focusing primarily on the areas that were hurting the most. Throughout this portion she encouraged me to let her know how much pressure felt comfortable and the areas that she should focus on. After that she transitioned to traditional Swedish/Shiatsu massage. There was light music playing in the background (optional) and she used lavender scented oil on my shoulders (also optional). I nearly fell asleep during this part, as it was so relaxing. Post massage all my muscles felt incredibly relaxed. As for my shoulder, the muscles were looser and less strained than they had been in months, although they still hurt. The next morning the pain was even less; I imagine they needed some time to settle down or what not. Overall a great feeling! I visited Danica's office in Chatham. it was clean and calming and had a bathroom directly off the massage room, which I liked for dressing after. Danica is a kind and obviously caring person with a calming personality. She clearly wants to heal; she even recommended me a variety of other specialists that she herself sees. I highly recommend her services and will be going back!

She's not very compassionate or understanding as when I first met with her years ago. (Or maybe I'm just seeing her true colors now) I would avoid her at all costs.
