Beyond the poor service, the prices were notably high. Unfortunately, the quality of the Pink Whitney I purchased was poor--it tasted stale, as if it had been sitting on the shelf for months. After drinking it, I became ill and experienced a severe migraine. I suspect the product may have been expired or improperly stored. I would advise others to inspect bottles carefully before purchasing here.

My husband has been taking such good care of me since I've been home recovering from surgery, so I wanted to bring him home a little something special to say thank you and why not get him his favorite beer, Duvel? He originally tried Duvel when we were in the city to watch a University of Michigan game at a bar on the Northside and ever since has been a fan of this stuff. (Stocking stuffer idea? You betcha!) It's a lighter beer and has a high alcohol content so one beer is just perfect for him to enjoy. I haven't really been out of the house until a few days ago, but decided to stop here on my way home from work this past Friday to see if they carry his beverage of choice. I have never been here before, but due to the size of the store, I figured, they had to carry it. I rarely go to a liquor store, so I just walked in and asked if they carry Duvel and the gentlemen behind the counter looked up and thought about it for a second, and gestured to me to follow him. He walked right up to it and pointed it out to me on the shelf. $16.99 for the 4 pack. Pretty much what they charge at any liquor store I have been to, including Binny's. So I grabbed a 4 pack and walked up to the counter to pay. The same gentleman rang me up and gave me my total....ah! he speaks! I did get a 'thank you' out of him and I told him to 'enjoy his weekend'. The store was a little on the dirty side, but I haven't really been to any liquor stores in a strip mall that aren't dirty, so that's not a big surprise. I glanced at the end caps on my walk up to the counter and they don't appear to really have any great deals to make you want to shop here. It's your standard strip mall liquor store when you can grab a pack of cigarettes, a lottery ticket, a bottle of whiskey and a case of beer. It would have been nice to see a store owner that takes pride in their business and maybe a friendly smile or greeting when you walk in. Nothing really attracting me to shop here again unless absolutely necessary. I think Jewel might carry Duvel, just a little more of a walk to the liquor department.

This liquor store is brand spic & span new so it's insanely neat, insanely clean and the workers are so nice! They were so eager to help me and show me some good deals. They carry a lot of good beers including Lagunitas, Dragon's Milk, Two Brothers, etc. plus all the watery swill you could want. I don't know much about hard liquors but they seemed to have a good selection of both that and wines. Mix & Match 6 packs for $10.99 and I put a couple of Lagunitas Sucks in my sixer. Seeing as they just opened, they are taking recommendations for things they should order. I asked them to get some 5 Rabbit in! So hopefully they will. It's the closest and most convenient liquor store to me now and with such friendly people, I'm sure I'll be there more than I should.
