Appel Strudel.
Erica C.

2/26/23 - I arrived here from the United States after a 10 hour one way trip and I was drawn by the well displayed sandwiches and German desserts on display walking to my next plane transfer to Belgrade. The prices were moderate for an airport. The Pastries were from $4-$8 Euro and the sandwiches were from $9-$12 Euro. Everything looked great. They have a full service area where you can sit down and order. It cost a little more. I opted for the self service area. You order at the cashier and then find a seat and enjoy. I ordered the $8 Apple Strudel. It was well worth the price. I was in love. Thinly sliced apples with a sweet taste of cinnamon and goodness. It was flaky and crispy. Best I've had anywhere. Enjoy. The employees spoke German and English. I gave it 5 stars. They had a full menu to order from on the full service side. I'm enroute from the United States to Montenegro. Landing in Munich, Germany, then to Belgrade, Serbia and finally Podigorcia, Montenegro. I will try to post in those locations. Enjoy the world cuisine! See the photos.

Service was great. Cheesecake was fluffy and delicious. Great texture and flavor. 9/10 for cheesecake. Coffee was okay. Cappuccino was okay. Pricey coffee. I love the amaretto chocolate bean they give you with the coffees. Iced coffee came in a cute glass jar.

Slim pickings for vegans in 2020! Unreal for a german airport to be honest. They do not even carry a single plantbased milk for the several coffee specialties they carry! Very disappointing. I ordered an orange juice which rang in at euro 7.95!!! It was great and tasted like fresh pressed but still the price was a bit steep. In Germany things are usually much more reasonable. During covid the upper level of the gate area is very empty and I understand choices may be not what they usually are but this was super disappointing especially since the airport lounges are closed as well!

The food is edible but overpriced, but I guess to be expected at an airport. Luckily I had a 20€ voucher from a flight delay it didn't go very far because I got only a salami sandwich and a salad with tomato and burrata. The sandwich was fine, nothing to write home about but tasted good because I hadn't eaten anything but plane food for the last 12 hours. I would probably get the sandwich again if I needed food. The salad was not worth the price since it was just lettuce, tomato, and burrata cheese. Make sure you get dressing as it comes separately and they forgot to give it to me. The seating is nice - they have comfortable booths with lights and plugs underneath the tables. I was able to pass 2 hours or so working comfortably here. They have a much bigger menu with more pastas and pizzas and other things that looked pretty good but because it was an hour past when they were supposed to close, they were only selling the prepared foods. Overall, expensive for what you get but most of the food in the Munich airport is. Still a decent selection but the comfortable seating and plugs takes it from 2 stars to 3.

Lovely spot in the Munich airport which is much more appealing and welcoming than what is currently out there. I had fresh pressed orange juice and a slice of apple strudel and it was on the pricey side but that's airport food for you. Check it out if you're there :-)

Worth the wait of passing by other food vendors when you get into the airport. They have exceptional coffees and probably the only Italian macchiato in the whole airport. The staff are amazing and they have sandwiches and pastries that are just soooo good. The fruit cups have peaches and other goodies that I didn't see elsewhere also.

We were looking for a place to eat during our 7 hour layover at the Munich Airport…read more This Café has nice decor and ambience and a big seating area that attracted us. We needed a place to rest and relax. I wanted still water but got sparkling by mistake since I speak 0 German. They have great looking beers but we were too tired to try. Too bad since we were in Bavaria! For food we ordered chicken schnitzel sandwiches. My husband asked them to heat them up. We also ordered 2 portions of fries. We needed a hot meal! Prices are a tad on the higher side. When we got our sandwiches, we realized that they were cold! They call you to pick up your food which isn't ideal. They had only one portion of fries done, they were unaware about the second. I had to go back and get it. In the process I dropped some fries since they have no trays. Now we were dealing with 2 portions of fries with different temperatures. I am not a pampered diva, but they should bring your food to your table. Normally I don't care much, but when I have been awake for 24 + hours and have been schlepping luggage I could use some help. Not a cheap place, with lots of staff. They can help you out while you are traveling and are exhausted. On top, they don't remember your order! So, poor customer service! Food was just decent. But I would skip this Café and grab a sandwich at another place next by. A cold sandwiche is a cold sandwich. Still, better than some US airport food options!

Just to get out of the whole jet lag situation, we immediately came here and it was just buzzing. It was early spring in Bavaria, with a lot of people sitting outside and drinking coffee here. I know what you are thinking!! Early spring/? Bavaria? Shouldn't we be drinking some really nice Weihenstephan up on the mountain in the world's oldest brewery? I agree but drinking Beer after a 16 hour flight to combat jet lag would not be the proper if we wanted to stay awake and that is where Junker's comes in. Probably one of my top 5 or 6 coffee shops in the world but if you want to add a nibble to your coffee then I would rate this place among my top 3. For the first time ever, I had a Cafe Bombon which was awesome and completely took my jet lag away. Next day we went there again, this time for Breakfast and Coffee and the yogurt they gave was easily the best Yogurt I EVER tasted in my life. The only negative for me was they open at like 10AM or so and close by 5PM or so. I am giving this review anyway on Yelp although there are not that many reviews on Yelp in Europe. One interesting thing I found here was they serve coffee made from beans from India. While I personally prefer Ethiopia/Kenya beans, coffee made from Indian beans is not bad. While it doesn't have the same buttery nutty flavor you get from African beans, it also doesn't have the sour notes you get from South American beans and the coffee here is very good
