Stayed at the Ramada Inn and easy 5 minute walk. 1st impressions was this is a cool neat bar/ pizza bistro. The menu was inviting, with many pizza selections. Then waiter approached the table and since our party of 3 did not speak proper German, his rudeness changed the experience. The pizza was very good, despite his candor. We went out the following night for diner and would have gone back to this place but decided to try the gastropub nearby by and gladly gave them my 100 euros for fine food and friendly staff. read more

Very authentic Italian food! Great location and great atmosphere I stayed next door at the Hotel Daniel while visiting Munich Went in on two different occasions I had the spaghetti with meat the first night The portion was very large Pasta was fresh and red sauce robust On second night I had the pizza The crust was amazing! I do not recommend this restaurant for tourists. They were not very friendly and gave the impression that we were not completely welcome. The waiter was actually sarcastic and danced on complete rudeness. For Italian food everything was pretty bland and disappointing. The pizza was dry and the pasta was boring. However I'm not sure how much of the negative energy seeped into the food and ruined it for us. We cut our meal short and will not return. read more

Hmmm. I have mixed feelings here. We were staying at a hotel close to the airport waiting on a flight and this was pretty much the only thing within walking distance. When we first walked in, our impression was good. Being American, we decided to seat ourselves, as this had been the case in most every restaurant we had been to in the past week. Apparently we chose a table that was reserved (although there was no indication of that), because a waiter pretty rudely told us to move. Once we were seated near the pizza oven at the back of the restaurant, it took a while for anyone to come to our table. Hubby ordered a calzone and I ordered the gnocchi. Our beer and wine arrived after several minutes, then about 20 minutes later, the calzone arrived. We had to ask twice for the gnocchi before we finally got it. The food was very good and the wine, a generous pour. Overall, it was worth the wait. The calzone was large and absolutely packed with ham, salami, cheese & mushrooms. We were staying at a nearby hotel and stumbled onto this restaurant. For an Italian restaurant in Germany, it was a very pleasant surprise. The seafood pasta was possibly the best I've had, as was the Tiramisu for dessert. The presentation for both was what I would expect from a 5 star restaurant. Very unassuming quaint looking building from the outside. Inside it's a nicely appointed warm and comfortable Italian restaurant. The setting works well for both small groups and intimate dining. Staying at a hotel and knowing you won't be eating well once you get to the airport and make that long flight, this place will satisfy. Located a short drive from the Sheraton, this place will be on your right. The area is dark at night so keep your eyes wide open. No worries if you only speak English. With menu in hand, you'll make it through. The appetizers, main dish and pizza were all delicious. The food arrives in a timely manner with attention paid to presentation. Great food, great service ... started with the Comparison & Orange soda aperitif, followed by the mozzarella and tomato soup was supper rich and tasty, then the Primitivi red house wine with the mozzarella cruna pizza with Parma ham, and added spicy salami...and of course sprinkled on some garlic and chili pepper in oil! This is our second visit here. When we were overnight 2 years ago we had the best dinner. So this visit we opted to go again again they did not dissapoint. They take pride in their food and love what they do. It shows in every dish and with the service you get. Tonight we has the swordfish grilled special with veggies and it was perfect, as well as homemade tortellini. The sauce was flavorful and pasta perfectly cooked. Got the chocolate moose for dessert that was fantastic. I would bands down visit here again. We enjoy eating at places that love whay they do. Il Casale are those people. We did dine early and on a Thursday so we did not not wait long and service was great. read more

We were staying at Moxy and wanted a change of pace from German food. We were about a mile and it was dark so we opted to Uber there for around 7 euros just to be safe. It seems like an easy walking path and we could've walked there easily. The food was fresh and good. We ordered the beef cappacio, easily one my favorites for the night. It had an arugula salad with parmesan shavings on top. We ordered the seafood tagliatelle and the rigatoni with meat sauce as our entrees. The tagliatelle was our favorite over the two because the tagliatelle was clearly homemade. The rigatoni was good but it was a very simple and too all dente for my taste. I think the food just really hit the spot after eating bratwursts all weekend. Overall it was a good restaurant in the middle of nowhere as we wait for our plane to depart early next morning. Also a plus is they have free wifi and the wait staff was very nice. read more

Very good place close to airport. The waiter spoke enough English to help us out, and the food was very good. We each had a pizza. We ordered a 'cup' of fish soup, but it came out in large bowls. The ambience is nice, but if you're looking for halal food, or need vegetarian selections this is not the place to be. A vegetable pizza cost about 9 Euro, topped with 3 pieces of cauliflower, 3 artichoke hearts, 2 olives and 2 whole banana peppers. The combination was horrendous and the pizza itself tasted horrible. Don't expect your server to check on you. If you need something, you need to get their attention. The time we spent waiting for the bill was longer than we actually spent eating. read more

The food looked nice on other people's plates. Problem was the people next to me had been waiting an hour for a pizza. I relocated next to them when they buried me in the back corner by the parking lot next to the chain smoker, then ignored me for 20 minutes. I asked another waiter if I could move, he said yes. The other people's comments were easily heard. Still no answers. The second waiter said he didn't know what the problem was with the first waiter. Enough was enough, see ya. Terrible service, too bad , the menu looked real nice. My short stay in Germany wound up at the restaurant at the Holiday Inn Express. The beef filet and weissbier were very good. Beyond that it was a mediocre experience. The restaurant staff smokes in the back of the house creating a stench in the front of the house. The men's bathroom was unbearable. I wasn't informed until after the meal that the credit card machine was broken and therefore I had to provide my last currency on hand. Also, be aware that taxis charge you before picking you up. The ride to the Moxy hotel is 5 minutes yet it cost 20 euro. I would not return. read more

I was staying at a nearby hotel and wanted to venture out. The hotel recommended this restaurant and set out to try it. The service is so bad. The place was half full and had plenty of waiters, 5 in total. It took over 15 for a waiter to come over to take my order. Then it over another 15 my minutes to just to get my soup and another 45 minutes to get my soup. I noticed that the locals that came after me got their food first. The food is just ok, nothing special. The owner needs to do a better job and hire people who want to work. read more
