cushion not built well, has folds that cannot be straightened out

Bought a small Indivi sofa from them (~$3200) here are the pros and cons: Pros: Fully customizable, good selection of fabrics, sales person was responsive to questions Cons: False advertising (delivered sofa very different from what was in the show room), poor quality cushions, management not willing to admit fault, late delivery (4 months) Went online and decided that I liked the design and price range of the indivi style sofa and went into the showroom to take a look at how the sofa looked and felt. Salesperson said there was no indivi sofa in the showroom but she would show me something comparable. She showed me a Carmo couch with HR foam which was incredibly soft and the look was also very shapely (the cushions were almost a complete rectangle with no soft curves which is exactly what I wanted). I went ahead and ordered an Indivi with classic comfort. There were delays on my couch and it was delivered four months late. When the couch arrived, it looked very different from what i was shown. The cushions were not rectangular at all and they were not very shapely. Also, the showroom cushion felt like a soft foam while my couch was more firm and felt more like feathers mixed with newspaper. I called the salesperson and asked why the cushions did not feel or look like what I was shown in the showroom. I also noticed that I received a casual comfort rather than the classic. The salesperson told me that it was changed to casual which is actually softer and that I should wait a little to break in the cushions and they would get softer. I was a little skeptical but I decided to give it a chance. After some period of use, the cushions did not get softer. Instead, I noticed that the cushions after use would get wrinkly and the filling would feel lumpy (see attached picture). Also, after sitting on the seat, the cushion would get pushed forward and require to be repositioned very often. These are two characteristics that were not shown in the comparison model in the showroom. When I found some free time, I made my way back to the showroom (I live in Irvine so it took some time for me to fit it into my busy schedule) and brought one of my cushions to show to the salesperson. I told her that my cushion was very different from what I was shown. Once again she showed me the same model she had showed me originally, it was the Carmo couch with HR foam (false advertisement again!). I told her that it felt and looked very different from my cushion and we did a side by side comparison where she sat on the cushion. She FINALLY told me that this is because the Carmo has HR foam which is a much more expensive model than the Indivi which is more of a "lower price" couch. I was very shocked to hear this because if these two models are very different then why was I shown the HR foam couch as a comparison model? I filed a claim and talked with management but they would not change out my cushions or give me any kind of discount. And they were also not apologetic at all for what happened. Although the style of their furniture is great, I would NEVER do business with them again. Conclusion: 1. False advertisement for their couch (I wanted to see how the Indivi felt and they showed me a more expensive nicer couch saying it was like the Indivi when it is not). 2. If you must buy something from them, buy the exact model that you can see at the show room. 3. Management would not admit fault and not offer any kind of discount for bad product which is really inexcusable in any business.

The mattress was defected so I asked for a refund. Instead of that, Judy gave me a 190 dollars shipping for just to retrieve it

My advice: DO NOT BUY FROM BOCONCEPT. IF YOU INISIST OF BUYING DO NOT ASK FOR EBRU AND JUDY!!!! Especially Judy! She will not take any action if there is any misorder and damaged furniture. She just wants your money and her pretentious smile will END the moment you pay!!! Absolutely awful place to order anything. I picked BoConcept because its furniture looked good, and the employees seemed super nice. I was buying a full 5 bedroom house funitures with a budget of 100,000 dollars. I end up spending 60,000 dollars on all furnitures. Don't get fool by their nice smiles when you first come in as the moment you pay they will turn into blood sucking vampires!! They have your money so now it will be your turn to beg. I order the furnitures in Auguest 2015 and so far, I still haven't received everything. The mattress was defected and there are bunch of holes on the bookshelf I purchased. The nightstands which their 'designer' Ebru picked for me and garanteed they will work, are way too low for the bed, and the sofa gets dirty right away even though I asked for a fabric that will hide dirt well. If you are here for the design consultant service, just forget about it. They are just sale people in disguise and they will simply sell you whatever they have. As there are damages on my furnitures, I requested to have them fixed. I even opened a BBB consumer claim for it. But they first request restocking fee, then they ask for 190 dollars of shipping fee for that defected mattress. Then they basically dropped the ball and told me that I need to hire someone to fix the holes on the bookshelf as once it is out of their door, they don't care. This argument has been continuing ever since I made the purchase, and that was Auguest 2015, now it is end of May 2016, still no progress. Very typical of them to just drag on so that you will eventually give up. After all they have your money and credit card info so they can charge you whatever they want.

The store is quite expansive with many different models on display. I shared my preferences with one of the associates, Kayla, (sizing/firmness/seat depth) and she was very kind to show me models that fit the criteria. At the end of my visit, Kayla provided some fabric swatches and emailed links to the couches I had expressed interest in. Overall, I enjoyed my experience here and would recommend checking out Joybird if your budget allows!
