Product is low grade. I bought a floating console about 3 years ago and now it's starting to fall apart. Many gaps are starting to form and now my door doesn't even shut all the way. Customer service is horrible here bc they NEVER pickup the phones. When I bought the product 3 years ago it came unpackaged and dirty and even then I tried to reach out but I couldn't get a hold of them. This place is worse then ikea. So disappointed. read more

Looking for the right furniture can be exhausting, and if you're as picky as I am if feels like a triathlon. I initially went to BO because of the wide selection of fabrics and ended up coming back because of Charlie, who was a delight to work with. When making decisions I tend to go back and forth between practical or beautiful, necessity or desire, and Charlie would always steer me back on course while reminding me of what I initially loved. It's easy to forget during the entire process, so I was grateful to be able to work with someone who was so supportive and knowledgeable. Communication was always great; Charlie is super organized, always easy to reach and perceptive enough to know what's going to work or not work in your space. If you're shopping at BO, or even want to stop in just to 'learn' about furniture or have someone set you on the right path, ask for Charlie. You'll be forever grateful! read more

Bought a small Indivi sofa from them (~$3200) here are the pros and cons: Pros: Fully customizable, good selection of fabrics, sales person was responsive to questions Cons: False advertising (delivered sofa very different from what was in the show room), poor quality cushions, management not willing to admit fault, late delivery (4 months) Went online and decided that I liked the design and price range of the indivi style sofa and went into the showroom to take a look at how the sofa looked and felt. Salesperson said there was no indivi sofa in the showroom but she would show me something comparable. She showed me a Carmo couch with HR foam which was incredibly soft and the look was also very shapely (the cushions were almost a complete rectangle with no soft curves which is exactly what I wanted). I went ahead and ordered an Indivi with classic comfort. There were delays on my couch and it was delivered four months late. When the couch arrived, it looked very different from what i was shown. The cushions were not rectangular at all and they were not very shapely. Also, the showroom cushion felt like a soft foam while my couch was more firm and felt more like feathers mixed with newspaper. I called the salesperson and asked why the cushions did not feel or look like what I was shown in the showroom. I also noticed that I received a casual comfort rather than the classic. The salesperson told me that it was changed to casual which is actually softer and that I should wait a little to break in the cushions and they would get softer. I was a little skeptical but I decided to give it a chance. After some period of use, the cushions did not get softer. Instead, I noticed that the cushions after use would get wrinkly and the filling would feel lumpy (see attached picture). Also, after sitting on the seat, the cushion would get pushed forward and require to be repositioned very often. These are two characteristics that were not shown in the comparison model in the showroom. When I found some free time, I made my way back to the showroom (I live in Irvine so it took some time for me to fit it into my busy schedule) and brought one of my cushions to show to the salesperson. I told her that my cushion was very different from what I was shown. Once again she showed me the same model she had showed me originally, it was the Carmo couch with HR foam (false advertisement again!). I told her that it felt and looked very different from my cushion and we did a side by side comparison where she sat on the cushion. She FINALLY told me that this is because the Carmo has HR foam which is a much more expensive model than the Indivi which is more of a "lower price" couch. I was very shocked to hear this because if these two models are very different then why was I shown the HR foam couch as a comparison model? I filed a claim and talked with management but they would not change out my cushions or give me any kind of discount. And they were also not apologetic at all for what happened. Although the style of their furniture is great, I would NEVER do business with them again. Conclusion: 1. False advertisement for their couch (I wanted to see how the Indivi felt and they showed me a more expensive nicer couch saying it was like the Indivi when it is not). 2. If you must buy something from them, buy the exact model that you can see at the show room. 3. Management would not admit fault and not offer any kind of discount for bad product which is really inexcusable in any business. read more

I picked BoConcept because its furniture looked good, and the employees seemed super nice. I was buying a full 5 bedroom house funitures with a budget of 100,000 dollars. I end up spending 60,000 dollars on all furnitures. Don't get fool by their nice smiles when you first come in as the moment you pay they will turn into blood sucking vampires!! They have your money so now it will be your turn to beg. I order the furnitures in Auguest 2015 and so far, I still haven't received everything. The mattress was defected and there are bunch of holes on the bookshelf I purchased. The nightstands which their 'designer' Ebru picked for me and garanteed they will work, are way too low for the bed, and the sofa gets dirty right away even though I asked for a fabric that will hide dirt well. If you are here for the design consultant service, just forget about it. They are just sale people in disguise and they will simply sell you whatever they have. As there are damages on my furnitures, I requested to have them fixed. I even opened a BBB consumer claim for it. But they first request restocking fee, then they ask for 190 dollars of shipping fee for that defected mattress. Then they basically dropped the ball and told me that I need to hire someone to fix the holes on the bookshelf as once it is out of their door, they don't care. This argument has been continuing ever since I made the purchase, and that was Auguest 2015, now it is end of May 2016, still no progress. Absolutely awful service! Ebru and Judy were the two people who were supposed to assist me throughout the entire purchase. They were very nice at first, but the moment I paid, they became irresponsive and awfully mean. They forgot to update me on when the order should arrive, and made mistakes on the measurements of the furnitures. There were even installation issues to these furnitures where nails will stick out, creating safety hazard. The installation guy eventually removed the nail, but now there are holes all over my furnitures. I talked to Ebru, who said she will fully refund me if Boconcept can fix that, but later, she backed away and made Judy to take care of it, and Judy said that since it is not WRITTEN, she will not do anything about it. Holes will stay, and there will be no refund. Judy also is threatening me that since she has my credit card info on file, she will charge whatever she wants without my written authorization, and that I have no way of stopping her. My advice, DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM BOCONCEPT, AND DO NOT TRUST IT WITH YOUR PAYMENT INFO. You will regret it!!! read more

We stumbled into Bo Concept after a couple of hours of shopping for a leather sectional for our new home. We plopped into a very comfortable Carmo sectional, and knew we found the right piece for us. They offered us about forty different fabrics to choose from. They gave us a deal on the piece: no tax, 10% off, and a free Coffee Table (retailing at $1500). So the higher prices ended up being pretty reasonable. We chose Pima Leather. The piece was not cheap, and it took a good 10-12 weeks to be created and shipped over from Denmark. Nonetheless Tolga, our sales associate, was communicative responsive and helpful. Deliver was prompt and perfect. They assembled the piece in about 5 minutes, and now we have a gorgeous signature piece of furniture for our new home. Thanks - I would recommend Bo Concept to anybody who is serious and interested in getting a high-quality, modern piece that is reasonable in price. Customer service was excellent. Wow...I can't believe it. I don't think the service has changed AT ALL since the new owners took over. I ordered one more dining chair (even though my current ones took bo concept over 5 months to deliver) because I needed an extra one. It has been over a month since I placed the order and when I did, they initially said they had it in stock in the warehouse and would tell me when i could pick it up. Now I've been emailing Bryce (works at the La Brea showroom) 4 times with no response, called their showroom (you can't get in touch because their voicemail inbox is completely full and no one picks up) so I call the Costa Mesa branch and they say they can't check for me but will call and get back to me (which they never did). Honestly bo concept has been the WORST and a nightmare to work with and I would never recommend anyone purchase anything from them EVER. This will definitely be my last mistake. I plan to go to the showroom tomorrow and cause a MAJOR scene because their responsiveness is essentially nonexistent at this point. read more

Walked past the shop a few times. Finally stopped in for a sale and viewed their really amazing pieces. Was headed that way yesterday before heading to Ralph's for groceries. Anyway, learned that that they were having a sale! Couches, chairs, artwork, pillows, tables accessories.. I was amazed. The staff was beyond just helpful- John and a woman with a 'U' in her name (sorry!) took so much time with me to determine what I am looking for, why, how/if it would fit in my place.. I was really happy! For a store that sells the prices and volume they do, I was impressed at the individual and expertise and expert opinion. I ended up walking out with gorgeous artwork, CRAZY cool origami mugs, racks, some lovely pillows, and much more. I can't believe what I found and got helped out with. Great store, great people. BoConcept has great designs and great staff. We purchased a new sofa from them and it looks great and has held up very well after 2 years. Like others have reported there were some hiccups in the process - delayed ship/deliver date, quality issues with the first they sofa delivered, etc. All that said, after we reported / document the issues and followed their longish process the sales and customer support team worked hard to rectify the issue by working with the factory to get a new piece sent out. It took awhile but the second sofa was perfect and get lots of complements. read more

I usually don't write reviews but I have say that : I like Boconcept furniture because it has a sleek modern look that seamlessly blends with my existing pieces. Last year I bought one of their hat holders. It has such a sophisticated look to it that I find I am consistently being complimented when people come over to my place. Their styles are so inventive and creative that a lot of my friends have already started visiting their showrooms and purchasing some pieces for themselves. They wrap everything in blanket, so it won't get damaged. They wipe all the furniture before they leave. Be sure to stay away from Rapport furniture across street. Spent 30k there and is a nightmare. I recently bought a house and of course I need a lot of cool new furniture to fill the place with. As my tastes run very modern I've scoured just about every modern furniture place in LA. BoConcept was among our stops and they have a lot of nice pieces. What I particularly like about them is the fact their pieces are intelligently designed along with aesthetically pleasing. Their coffee tables have lift tops and hidden storage or expand to the size of dinner tables. Their dinner tables expand/retract so that you can scale up or down depending on the occasion. It was a dinner tables set that my wife and I walked away with. We worked with April there who was incredibly helpful in showing us the functionality of their pieces along with their numerous fabric and finish options. All their pieces are very customizable, which is what they are known for. We looked at dinner tables for a good 6 months and the one we got here was the only one we could agree on. Now to be fair, price-wise this place isn't for everyone, but the quality feels worth it. Since every piece is pretty much a custom piece lead times are pretty long. We were originally quoted 2-3 months which ended up doubling since we bought during a sale. So if you are looking for something quick you should temper your expectations. All in al though we are very happy with our set and will be back again for more pieces in the future. read more

We used to love the brand but not anymore. We ordered some dining furniture around 6 months ago. The furniture never came so we checked with the store in March, and they replied that the item was estimated to arrive in two month but not guaranteed. Now it's already 6 months and the item never arrived!! We contacted the store for refund and they refused. They said they have a new ownership now and they cannot refund for order placed months ago???!!! This is completely bull shit, waste of time and money, worst furniture brand ever read more

1 - They did not make their promised delivery dates and didn't really seem to care. 2 - We bought a bed, lamps, and a fairly expensive chair/ottoman set. After several months, it was clear the fabric chair was looking much different than the ottoman which had much more of a stuffed look. The chair became very wrinkled-looking, unlike the ottoman. I brought this to their attention and they said they aren't supposed to match. What? Note: the store displayed the leather versions only. They strung me out by going to their factory and getting their assessment, which was that the chair, although the same fabric and styling, is constructed differently... without any stuffing. They didn't even apologize and seem to have an attitude. I tried to follow up with the company with no luck. The chair is now ready for Goodwill donation. I would recommend not buying from these people. Poor products, bad customer service. read more

We have had a good experience with BoConcept. We have purchased several items from them and will be purchasing more. The quality of the materials is very good. Even if you are just looking at something simple like pillows, you will see the difference in quality in comparison to a store like CB2 or West Elm. No comparison. BoConcept is a little more expensive, but honestly some of their prices are very reasonable. For example, their art and décor items are really cool and I expected to spend more for the quality and "wow" factor. Also, Ebru has been super helpful. She has helped us design our overall look of our place and spent a lot of time with us. She was very helpful in her design suggestions and even showed us the proper way to hang our art and it's made a huge difference. The only reason I am not giving a full 5 stars is because their return/exchange policy is not as liberal or flexible as some other places. We have exchanged a couple things and it worked out just fine, but just make sure you are aware of their policy to avoid any potential problems. Also, it can take awhile to order merchandise. I know it is because it is shipped from Europe, but just be prepared that you may have to wait a bit for certain items. It is probably worth it though. So, all in all, I would recommend BoConcept and Ebru and we will be shopping there again soon. read more

However, there was such a unique coffee table I've never seen anywhere else that I just knew I had to buy. I must say that without BoConcept I would still be living in a house without furniture. This is a long due review, so please read on. It was a fantastic experience all around!!! Today I have my living room, dining room reading nook, bar and hallway all flowing beautifully together and I love walking into my home every day. I found BoConcept 2 years after struggling to furnish my living space, I have to say I had many requirements. I wanted style, quality, practicality, modern yet warm, comfort and all wrapped in a reasonable price tag. From the moment I stepped into their store on La Brea I felt welcome and at ease. They made me feel comfortable to express all my crazy ideas while guiding me through the process without feeling any pressure. The options are almost limitless as you can customize most every aspect of every piece of furniture, fabric/leather, legs, colors configuration. The BoConcept designer (free service with purchase) I worked with was so attentive to my needs and kept on pushing me to get exactly what I wanted. He was patient and resourceful. I had trouble choosing the fabric for my couch, leather was too cold, gray was too boring white was too hard to keep clean. I was at an impasse and one afternoon I get a call from my designer telling me he found exactly what I was looking for (I didn't even know what I was looking for), he brought it to my house to look at it and he was right! It was exactly what I wanted He then called me the next day before he placed the order to inform me that there was a "no tax" sale that was just announced and that he would apply it to my order. I did not even have to ask. what a wonderful cherry on top! The delivery estimate they gave me was a little later than what I desired, but I did have multiple special-order pieces, so I was Ok with it. Little I knew Stephanie the store owner was working behind the scene to expedite my order at the best of her ability and I was very surprised when I received a call from her telling me that my order will be delivered before Thanksgiving. Now I was going to be able to spend the holidays in my newly decorated pad. I was thrilled. To top it all, I have received a personal call from Stephanie as she wanted to ensure that all went as planned, that I was satisfied with how it all came together at the end. It is hard to tell when you are purchasing from rendered floor plans. I have to tell you that my entire space looks fantastic and now I will be planning my bedroom and my entryway with BoConcpet as well. read more

Bought a dining table and 4 chairs. Service was good at the shop, but they forgot to charge the legs of 3 chairs when I was there, so they had to call me back to ask for my credit card details again. Table and chairs delivery was smooth and on time. The issue happened after a few weeks. I was traveling for work and not using the table for a while until one day I finally had dinner and the light on top of the table showed a huge crack on it. I emailed the shop that was not that responsive. After following up they said they would talk to the manager. I had to follow up again to hear that I scratched the table and some toothpaste could do the trick. I replied specifying that it was cracked, not scratched. 3 months later and still waiting on their reply.... The 2 sides of this expandable table were also not completely aligned (talking about millimeters, to be honest), but they said that is the way their tables are. Mh good to know that you don't make aligned tables! Anyway, I am sure their products are great, but for what you pay (not cheap stuff!) the service is bad and careless, especially after the delivery. read more
