This made things very easy for me and my siblings. My dad passed at home but my mother passed out of state. We really did not know what to do with the passing out of state. I made the call to Ann thinking this was not going to be an easy thing to handle, but let me tell you, she took care of everything!! She walked us through the process, called us and took care of not only my mom but us. No matter how many calls I made, Ann always took her time and responded promptly. I felt from the first meeting with these two, till 4 years later that we had been life time friends. Thats is how they treat you, like family.

When that spouse died in 2024, Burket-Truby was responsive and kind. Both Sean and Shea helped us in the first difficult days after the death, as we formed a decision to have a memorial service several months later. When we changed some of the preplanned arrangements, Burket-Truby kept up and gave us excellent advice. We ended up with a fairly complex plan for a memorial service, and Burket-Truby handled their part promptly and beautifully. The house itself is beautiful & it's surrounded by pretty trees. The attendants and personnel are extremely professional but also very caring. The makeup person does a great job as well. They also have a nice little chapel area where we actually had the funeral services for my grandparents. The bathrooms are also very nice- seems strange but I can always appreciate a good bathroom! They also go the extra mile & make a slide show DVD of your loved one if u provide them with pictures. The DVD makes a beautiful & comforting keepsake. Overall I would highly recommend Simons.

I was also threatened with pictures of my brutally murdered son when I 6 months later (I was in shock at the time and just accepted I had to have a closed casket) later went in to see why I couldnt have had a open casket. My son was shot in the head and but had a his full face so Im sure they could have put a hat on him or something. I mean the reconstruct faces at some funeral homes and my sons face was fine. My mom and brother seen pics of him from the corner and they both said his face looked fine it only had a small scratch under his left eye that makeup could have hid easliy. When I asked the funeral director he said, "that kid had no back of his head!!", "you want me to show you??!" As he was looking through his folder to show me this horrendous picture of my son!!! I also wanted to see what suit they buried my son in since it was I couldnt see my son and didnt know the suit was never delivered until after my son was buried. The funeral director lied right to my mom and my face and had the nerve to say my mom brought his suit, but she did not and was not the one suppose to even bring it. Also it was made very clear this was a young man's funeral and there would be a lot of ppl attending and the funeral director was either running around yelling about the amount if ppl there or he was hitting on ppl and not only was he a easy 20yrs older then the ppl he was chasing around but he is a married man, and suppose to be a religious one too... It was so bad at one point he was literally stocking ppl and relentless hitting on them even on facebook. He is truly a sick man and I can not believe I trusted him in my weakest moments with my sons finally hours on this earth. Please I beg of you to not make the same mistake!!! I tried contacting the funeral home and its owners countless times, not that they could even fix anything, but I wanted them to know what kind of service my son had and for them to make sure it doesnt happen to somebody else, but I never even got 1 reply back, nothing. Im telling you please do no waste your $, or emotional well being and go with a funeral home that has respect for your loved ones weither they are alive or dead because Greens does not.

My daughter was getting sad and Brian noticed right away and payed some extra attention to her. They also planted a tree in the forest in honor of my Dad. Something is fishy about the flower situation, he donates them to charity. Shouldn't the family decide what gets donated! Some flowers were never even put out! Lots of shaky things with my experience many lies! He is very nice and the facility is nice but doesn't know a thing about his job or the paper work and legalities. Find another place to go, find someone who knows what they are doing. Especially at a sad time, you need direction and guidance, you will not find it here. Also, his voice mail is always full and you cant get thru the funeral home! Death certificates can be picked up in Pgh., the next day. You dont have to wait 3 weeks! The list goes on!!!!!

I want to highlight how genuinely remorseful he was for our loss, and how kind he was. Matt was also so kind, helping me hook up my slideshow for my Gram, and assisting us. Every detail was really thoughtful, including a special charm Nick gave my mother and I at the end that is cut in half, one piece to stay with my grandmother & one with us. They checked in on us at the perfect times, asking if we needed coffee or water. They greeted all of our family and gave their condolences. Perhaps the most touching aspect was how Nick helped us get my Grammy home. There was an issue back home in CA with her death certificate (nothing to do with Alfieri, it was her doctors), and she almost did not make it back to PA, her final resting place. Thank you Nick and Matt, truly. You gave my Mom, her brother, and our whole family peace and closure with your services.

I interacted with 3 staff members and all three were very accommodating and extremely pleasant. I believe one of the three was the owner. A very nice gentleman with a very pleasant demeanor. Not sure what I was expecting a funeral home owner is supposed to look and act like. I guess growing up watching "The Addams Family" stuck in my head. This place was certainly not like that. The lead person (lady) seemed to have a passion for her line of work or else she really enjoyed putting the client and guests at ease. One thing I noticed was that she was very detail oriented. There was a piece of cloth that was visible once the casket was closed. I didn't even notice because it was just a tiny piece... and she discretely came over and fixed it. I'm thinking that maybe someone whom didn't really care would have just let it stay because it wasn't obvious. I thought her attention to detail was impressive. She was great! She had an assistant that was very accommodating too. I gave him specific music to play for the service and he did it superbly. He put me at ease with his qualifications by letting me know that he works the sound system for his church. Very nice young man. So everything ran smoothly. Inside the facility was beautiful and very comforting. Must have been the warm earth tone colors. I think I just want to say that they are top notch for that line of business. Upon closing, I'm hoping not to need that type of service again although I'm thinking it's inevitable but if I have to experience death of a loved one I can rest assured that if I used White Memorial Chapel that my loved one would be in good hands.
