I finally found a yoga studio that I can get behind. I have tried for years to see what the…read morelululemon mafia was all fussed about when it came to Yoga. In my mind, if I am not blowing through 100 calories per hour, I am just not sure its worth my time. People raved about flexibility etc, but I just could not really feel any difference. Then, my friend introduced me to Keshava a few months ago and I really loved it and finally got it! To those who have said that this is not what they expected of 'classic' yoga and want to do sun salutations ad nauseum, then yeah this is definitely not it. Whats working for me: 1- This is actually hard... not like the typical 'stretching' yoga class or the dehydration inducing Bikram. I really loved how we held poses for a long time. I feel my muscle working and struggling the whole time. It is strangely relaxing to just breathe through the discomfort and recognize your body getting stronger. It may also feel harder since they actually adjust you into the right position for the best impact and stretch. No more cheating! 2- There is a strong focus on meditation... if I am not going to be blazing calories, I had better at least leave relaxed, at peace, mentally cleansed. Many classes I've tried while doing a thousand down dogs and salutations never left me feeling this good. Keshava's voice is crazy relaxing. I'm slightly addicted. 3- The price... $15 for 90 minutes! Sign me up! They also offer package deals for an even lower price 4- No two classes are alike... I learned so many new poses in one of these that I had never gotten in the various failed attempts I've made to like yoga previously. I love how I am pushed. Keshava's style is to be serious about yoga but to not take yourself too seriously. He is lighthearted and I love how just when you're at the moment of breaking a pose, he cracks a joke that makes you smile through the pain. If you take yourself too seriously, this may not be for you.

I bought a Groupon for 5 yoga classes (only $20!) and recently attended my first class, a 90 minute…read moresession. The space is nice, the music playing in the background is peaceful and well-timed, and the instructors have a great sense of humor. If you're someone who hasn't done yoga in a while, be prepared for an intense session. You'll be asked to breathe deeply and push yourself in maintaining the poses. The instructor tended to break tension by making jokes which helped a lot; I found myself laughing as much as breathing deeply at times. What I loved about the session was that there was a lot of breathing and meditation integrated into the practice. It wasn't just about the poses; as the instructor said, "I want you to smile in the midst of all the pressure, because that's what you'll be asked to do in life." I agree with other Yelpers who noted that it won't matter if you're a beginner since the instructor goes around adjusting your posture. As the classes are kept small, it never feels too crowded and the instructor is always very attentive. I also never felt self-conscious. Your muscles will be sore the next day, but it's well worth it. At the end of my session, laying down finally was bliss, and I felt like I had earned it. You'll leave feeling like a warrior, simultaneously rejuvenated and calm. The green tea (already hot and made to go) is such a nice touch at the end of the class too. I am looking forward to going back!

Each and every instructor gives 100% of themselves every class. They are highly trained, talented and inspiring. Not only do I see clear physical changes in my body since becoming a member 2 years ago, but I'm challenged mentally, and grown spiritually, as well. Gro has become a second home, and we are fully supported in our individual journeys-whether we are a beginner or a professional athlete or somewhere in between. I love that no two classes are alike, and I'm constantly learning new poses and exercises. It's impossible to be bored in a class, and after dancing professionally, I can say that even I feel challenged each time I show up. The name of the studio is no coincidence. The GROwth is real! I'm truly grateful that I have this extraordinary place and the incredible instructors that continue to inspire and challenge me.

When I walked in, the front desk person completely ignored me until I said something and when I was in the middle of said conversation, she turned and started talking to someone else. I felt that it was completely inappropriate. I also took the all-levels class, but like others have said, this was not for beginners whatsoever. A few girls were just so unfriendly and rude, so I just never came back. Yoga is not a competitive sport and I was not welcome from the beginning. The instructors are fantastic and helpful, but I just felt awkward. This would be a great studio if you are a previous dancer or gymnast of have done yoga you're entire life. But, that isn't me. Also, no mirrors so you can't look at yourself to fix your form, that bothered me. I use the mirrors in other studios so I can make necessary adjustments. The studio is VERY small and you are essentially right up on top of everyone else. Just wasn't my favorite experience ever.

Evening classes as well as daytime. Instructors are attentive and interested in helping you achieve your goals. Didn't get the last star because the studio is small and some classes are overcrowded. Also, I understand the value of doing yoga in a hot room but this isn't hot yoga it's Vinyasa. There are no air conditioners so in the summer in South Florida it gets pretty hot in there. This is not uncommon in yoga studios. The thought is that the warm room helps relax your muscles and prevents cramping. Some students will even ask instructors to put on the heaters which is too crazy for me. The good news is that they usually prop the door open so at least you get some outside air. Overall this is the best yoga studio around and the quality of instruction more than makes up for the lack of air conditioning.

I really feel like I have to share this I booked an 8:15am Vinyasa class in what I thought would be a refreshing, fun new experience. I arrived early to a pretty big parking lot for a standalone business. Parked in a corner spot along the left wall. I parked at the same time as a girl who said hi to me as we both got out of our cars. She ended up being the instructor. The studio was big inside. However, I noticed it was heated. It didn't specify this in the class description. It just said "Vinyasa". I would have liked to know though so I could mentally prepare better, but I'll live. Out of everything else that happened here, I'll take this 100 times. So I set up in the back. I had an older lady next to me. Couldn't hear majority of the class due to the music being so loud/being in the back. So I felt a little clueless at times. It also smelled so bad, like feet & sweat and straight up uncleanliness. 15 minutes til the end of class, I start to get tired. I'm catching my breath & taking a break (as I wasn't really prepared for a hot yoga class anyway). I had my phone on the lowest possible brightness you could have it, I checked it for maybe 20 seconds. When all of the sudden the older lady next to me rudely snaps at me saying, "you know there's no phones allowed here. right?". I said to her, I have kids. She rolled her eyes at me. So I told her to mind her business. Because what? I have so many questions. I couldn't chill at the end when we did Savasana. I ended up leaving at 9:13. Only to come out to the parking lot & I'm completely blocked in. & my phone screen conveniently & randomly froze during this time. So I wasn't able to get a picture of it. The one girl behind me left. But I still couldn't fully reverse; there was another car next to her that needed to move for me to leave. It's 9:22am at this point, class ended 7 mins ago. I thankfully allotted time for me to afford a little runoff, but I still didn't want to sit there not knowing when I'd be able to leave. So I finally saw the owner walking towards her car, she unlocks it, sees that she's blocking me in, sees I'm in reverse. Waiting, patiently. I'm not being rude or rushing, just waiting. & then she suddenly just closes her door, locks it, & starts walking back to the studio. So I open my car door, & yell "hey can you please move your car?" and she says "yeah I just have to get something inside". Not concerned, no sense of urgency. But she comes back. I don't have music on so I can hear everything. & I hear her say out loud "why the f*** did you park there". Oh? Wow. So I opened my door & I said "It's my first time at this studio, sorry". Like? Seriously wow. And there's no sign, nothing that blocks that spot off. Not the instructor - who parked next to me & at the same time as me - let me know, 'hey don't park there'. Nobody and nothing alluded to me not parking in that spot. Yet I was still blocked in & cursed at. I also want to mention that even with the amount of people & cars in this lot, there was still room to make another row/fit the 2 cars that were behind me blocking me in, in the middle of the lot. It was just completely unnecessary. But not once was I rude about it or disrespectful. Yet I was met with nasty, disrespectful & quite the opposite behavior that I'd expect from people just coming out of a supposedly "reputable" yoga studio & class. I booked this class to feel better about things going on in my life & honestly I felt better before I took the class. I regret coming. It set my day off to a horrible start & the only positive out of this is knowing now that I don't have to ever come back. 0 stars if I could & please treat people with kindness. First & last class here.
