Turns out the air cap was completely cracked and my tire wasn't flat after all, which is what I was hoping because there was no nail. They put a new cap on no charge! I was immediately greeted by Vince, he was polite and helpful. He took my car to the back and then it was fixed! The service was great and I felt comfortable. I see the good reviews here so maybe this was just a fluke but..... We had a flat. My husband aired up the tire and I took it to the shop. I planned to leave our truck and come back, but they told me to wait as there were no other customers. The rep took quite a bit of time trying to locate the nail in our tire. He couldn't find it with an external exam, then told me he was going to crack the tire and look inside. He then came out and said he found a nail and it was hard to see because it was poking up just between the treads. He said he would patch it and that would be that. A few minutes later he was done, I paid in cash and left. In total I was there about an hour. Fast forward to the next morning and our tire is flat again. It was a holiday so my husband took the truck back to a different shop the following day. The rep at the new shop (Fair Auto Repair & Tire, also on FO), found a small nail, in between the tread, without a head. There was no plug in the tire. They said the likelihood of the plug coming out was about zero. So, it kind of seems Bob's was just tired of looking at my tire and decided to take my cash anyway.....because I'm not sure why the same nail described by both reps would still be there, with no plug. read more

Oh my god, these guys are SO friendly and SO helpful! My husband and I were here from San Diego visiting family and realizes our tires weren't driveable enough to get us back home. That's when I found this place on google. I never leave reviews (I'm lazy lol) but the men here went above and beyond and the price was amazing! Fantastic customer service and helped me with all my options. I don't remember the guys name who helped us initially, but from the first phone call to coming into the store, he was absolutely wonderful. So polite! I stoped in here and was greeted as soon as i got in the door. Talked to a man that showed me a used tire, after looking at it i had seen it had a plug in it. And i asked him how much he told me 35 and 12.50 for labor. I pointed out the plug and it told me that makes no difference its still a good tire......? So having a slow leak i agreed and they did the work and 5 min later i was called to the garage and was told one of my bolts was striped (Which he blamed it on the guy that changed it last) and then to top it off i was charged 50 bucks grand total...SMH wont never go back here. read more

I hate buying car stuff but then again I hate sliding around and scaring myself half to death in the rain too. I called around to a few places and this place was friendly and knowledgeable on the phone, plus their prices were great. So I take my car over and they tell me my options. I ask alot of questions, to a fault, and the guy was crazy patient, I would have strangled me for sure. So I pick some tires and they say they will have the tires later that day, but it is really quick to put them on. They called when they said they would. I returned from camping to find a flat tire on my car. Major bummer! So we took it to Bob's. We were promptly greeted and my tire was assessed. He told us that he could legally fix it as the small hole was above the line, but that it was in a part of the tire that flexes a lot so it was risky and he wouldn't recommend it. My other tires had decent tread so I bought a used tire with comparable tread, and with everything made it out the door for about $52! Much better than then$150-190 I was looking at for a brand new tire. I will definitely be returning for future tire needs. read more

I must admit that my memory fails me sometimes. This morning I was searching all over the WWW for a good used tire place and Bob's was one of the places I called. After a few more calls, and reading the reviews on yelp*, I decided to go with Bob's and when I was about 3/4 of the way there I realized I had been there before (time before last). The last time I went to another place (i was in a huge hurry and needed a place closer to home) and left I left happy, however the tires wore out very quickly, and were not balanced correctly, #1 reason why I did not go back there. Today at Bob's, I was greeted quickly by smiling faces and knowledgeable staff. They gave me choices, advice, and great prices. Greatest thing was NO wait... it was done in a Jiffy and included a 90 warranty on USED tires. Can't believe my luck. If I ever go looking for another used tire (trust me it'll happen), I won't look any further than Bob's Quality New & Used Tires & Wheels. P.S. I don't normally write reviews. I'm writing this so that other people can avoid what these guys have done to my tires and my pockets. I had 2 tires mounted by them because I naively thought it would be cheaper than letting the big shops do it, but they basically ripped me off, by not doing the mount properly so I would come back to them. So I had a flat and I went to a different shop, because I felt off about how my tire got flat. I was right. The other shop, "america's tires" showed me the rips on my tires on the inside, because they did a f#%^ing sloppy job on mounting them. Obviously costed me more. read more

I went to Bob's Quality Tire because of the Yelp Reviews. I have an older car which I will likely get rid of in the next year. I needed two tires and Bob's Quality Tires talked me into purchase 2 used tires...championed their warranty on used tires, 90 days warranty. Since the tires were half off what new tires would cost I elected to make the purchase for two used tires. Within a month a violent vibration would occur at 20MPH and then again at 70. I took it back to Bob's Quality Tire and they told me the front tire was separating and would blow out if it wasn't replaced. I showed him the receipt and he carefully matched up the tire and confirmed they were the tires they sold me. He told my only option was two new tires and they would credit me the tires. When they presented the bill there was no credit for the exiting tire and I had to specifically ask for it. Bob Quality Tires told me their policy is only to credit back the one tire and they still charged for the labor. In a period of 1 month I paid for 3 tires and to have 4 tires mounted, balanced, and installed and still only have two newer tires. I paid over what Tire Pros around the corner was quoting me for two new tires. I cannot recommend a business which doesn't stand behind its warranty and sells a tire which has a chance of blowing out. read more

Awesome dudes, I came in to get a used tire because my current one couldn't hold air. Instead they had me pull around back where they found out I had a bad valve steam, which they fixed for me. He noticed it was still a good tire, so he checked an looked an looked again for a leak and finally found it and patched it for $15. A week later here I am again. Not mad. My tire is cursed, I swear. Ha ha so I asked them to patch it again cus I'm moving today. He looked, they both looked. As confused as myself. No leak. Look. This place was great and fast. My husband's car got a flat tire last week. We had a very busy weekend with kids and things to do and we still had my car so of course we put off having it fixed. So when my car got a slow leak over the weekend, we had to put some air in and continue on to make sure the kids got to where they needed to be on time. This morning we called Bob's tires and decided to go to work a little late and get the cars fixed. We went in to Bob's and they got my husband three very decent used tires and patched my leak all in a half an hour for $130. We were barely late to work at all. I love to shop. However, I find the process of buying tires to be snoring-boring. I have been bying from Bob's for 7 years. At one point I did some price comparisons and Bob's was significantly cheaper then everywhere I looked. Having an AWD Vehicle is nice but the tires are pretty spendy. I got out of here today with two near new tires and a patch for $103.00. The guys are very friendly and helpful. Always a score here! read more

My first time here after I was recommended by many many many people in the Placer and Sacramento County. It may not have the glitzy feel or drive up "wow factor" but clearly quality of service and reasonable pricing is more important. I was welcomed by the employees quickly and had my 4 new tires put on and balanced within 1 hr. They at least at a waiting room with chairs and reading material and a fan so it was comfortable.
