They were the same price as Costco and much more convenient. They did a great job mounting and balancing the tires and recently fixed a flat for me included in the price. My wife had 3 nails in one tire, unfortunately one of the nails was in the sidewall which makes the tire unrepairable. The vehicle is only a year old so the other 3 tires are in excellent condition. I prefer to buy all 4 tires at the same time so they all match and wear together. To replace all 4 tires when 3 of them were still 75% good didn't make sense to me and to replace just one or two tires wasn't really a good option either. So I decided to call around and see if I could find a used tire that matched. After calling every americas tire co in town and none of them having a used tire in my size, one of them tells me try quality used tires. Sure enough they not only have my size, but have the same exact brand and 50 tires to choose from. The guy told me they have a contract with ford so they get all of their used tires. $50 mount and balanced and we're back in the road with matching tires! read more

I was a long time customer here..not anymore. i've always been satisfied until the last couple times I went there. There is one guy in particular who always seems angry and has been rude the last couple times. I brought used tires of my own in to get mounted and this short angry guy with dark hair gave me the third degree about where I got my used tires from. Same guy who has been rude before as if it bothers him to do his job. Maybe it's just that he doesn't like me ;)? That's enough for me to go to another shop from now on. So this place has to be one of the worst tire shops in all of Sacramento if it's not the worst. Their customer service is horrible and their employees have no respect whatsoever. I gave them a call earlier this afternoon to see if they had the tire size I needed and they did. After I confirmed that they had the tire size I needed I told the guy on the phone that I will be there right at 6 o'clock and he said that's not a problem I will wait for you. At 5:50 I give them a call once again to let him know I am on my way and will be there at 6 o'clock and they said okay no problem we will be here waiting for you. I get there exactly at 6 o'clock and the door is locked already. One of the workers comes to the door and tells me sorry we are closed. I told him I was the guy that called on the phone and you guys said you would stay open and show me the tires. I am a return customer but will NEVER go back again. My husband called and go a quote over the phone it and askrd if the was for the tires and the m/b he was told yes the tires needrd to be ordered and would be there the next day. The next day i take the car in they take it rigjt back no problems till i get yhe bill and it is 100.00 dollars over the quote i tell them that is not what my husband was quoted his response was he had nothing to do with it he was just checking me out. Should have gone to PEP Boy it was cheaper for a better tire. So beware if a guy calls and a woman show up to get the work done they will up the price. read more

Considerate, polite, customer friendly, truthful, prompt, efficient are just some of the words you want any company or service provider to exemplify. I have read the various reviews and see many individuals are tickled pink about this place and many people in the area recommend this place. However, if you look past the 5 star reviews and do a little extra research you will find out the truth about this place. I am happy that some people came in with an emergency and got in and out in 40 minutes but that is not everyone's experience. We set an appointment to have 4 new tires installed along with alignment. We did our research on the various tires, called countless tire companies and decided to use Bob's Tire. Just to let you know I will drive to get great service or pay more just to know I am getting the best service out there. When we set the appointment we inquired if we would get a print out of the alignment so we can have it for our service book and because another mechanic screwed us in the past and did not provide a copy (people, this is not something you should have to request). Needless to say that we did not get a copy of the alignment as we were lied to and told the printer was out of paper (Just an excuse and a pike if bull). They said they have been out of paper for about 3 days so why didn't they say this when we set the appointment 2 days prior. Then you would think they would have the tires you requested when you set the appointment, however, one of the morons there decided to sell our tires to another customer and since they are so disorganized there no one realized they need to order another set so they would have them for our appointment. Instead, they tried to sell us another tire from that manufacturer. They said they would either sell us the tire we want for $110 a tire or the tire they have in stock for $120 as that tire normally goes for $130. We decided to wait a day and get the tire we ordered. We were told that their deliveries get in at noon and all they would have to do is install the tires. You would think they would get our car done as soon as the tires got in but it took another phone call from us around 3 p.m. just to be told our car was on the lift and should be done in 30 minute or so. You think this would be enough but it continues as Scott tried to go back on his word and attempted to sell us the tires at the original price instead of the ten dollars off per tire and they did not have a print out of the alignment. Then to top it off the arm rest on the drivers door was filthy because they do not care about your vehicle and get in your car with their dirty clothes and do not take any precautions such as paper covers to protect your vehicle. Plus my vehicle left their lot with 3 new dents which it did not have before. Two of the rims have new scratches on them because of one of many reasons. At this point I feel it is a combination of being rushed, lack of caring, lack of experience and not taking pride in their job. The tires and rims were a mess from the solution they swab the tires with to get them onto the rim. I have never received a car with such messy and dirty tires ever in my life. How do I know this? Well thats easy because I just detailed the car inside and out and know every inch of the car. As i drove the car home it just did not feel right and i was tempted to turn the car around and go back but I had a couple of ideas of what was causing the feeling and would check it out once I got home. Plus i am not 100% certain I would have contained myself. When I got home I parked the car in a cool shaded spot and waited until the next morning at which time i checked the air pressure in all 4 tires. The tires should be inflated to a maximum of 33 PSI according to the sticker on the door; unfortunately, this is not the PSI in the tires. Two of tge tires were at 145 PSI, one was at 140 PSI and the other was at 138 PSI. You would think a tire shop would know what PSI is recommended for your vehicle! I do not know how this place has stayed in business for so long due to the lack of accountability and customer service. They let individuals stand and wait at the counter while they walk aimlessly on the other side of the counter. I saw Scott take a pile of smaller boxes from the desk over to a cabinet, drop most of them on the way over and do other little jobs all while making clients stand at the counter and wait for him to be done. I had a nail in my tire today. I went to big 0 tires where I bought the tires less than 2 years ago and they told me I need 3 new tires and that my flat wasn't fixable. They wanted $130 for each new tire, I was completely upset and refusing to believe this was true. It took them over an hour and a half to tell me they couldn't do anything but have me buy new stuff. SCAM. I went to Bob's and pulled straight in, he jacked up my car into the air, spun the wheel found the nail pulled it out, patched the hole and I was off and running less than 10 minutes later. He didn't make much on me this time, but he will forever get my business because of this experience and I have nothing but great things to say. read more

Great service! I had a leak in one tire from three screws. The employee who helped me was professional and quick. It was just $10 to fix the leak and I was on my way in no time. This is, hands down, the best place in the Sacramento area to buy tires and also to go to for repairs. Not only do they have unbeatable prices on new tires, they are also totally honest and trustworthy. Yesterday my tire pressure warning light went on and because it was a Sunday, I had to take it to another tire service center because Bob's was closed. After charging me a $21.95 inspection fee, these people told me that I did not have a leak in any of the tires; that the problem was that the pressure was low on three of my tires because the tires were worn out and needed to be replaced. They also claimed they'd filled the three "worn out" tires with air. I was skeptical of this diagnosis, because my tires only have 35,000 miles on them, and typically the warning light only goes on when there is a leak in one of the tires. Sure enough, on my way home the warning light went on again, and I called them immediately, but was told the technicians had already left for the day. This morning I went to Bob's, where they found a leak in one of my tires due to a small nail. They also told me that none of my tires needed to be replaced, that they still have roughly 50 percent life on them. Because my boyfriend and I are regular customers, they did not charge me for removing the nail and patching the tire. read more

I visited Bob's for the second time in the last few years a few days ago. I had a slow leak in a front tire, and actually thought I needed two new tires. When the gentleman came out to help me, I told him I thought I needed new tires. He said no, you have plenty of miles left on these, let's just fix the leak. O.K., that sounds good. They went through a bunch to try and find the leak, no hole found. Then he told me my car was done, that they couldn't find a leak, and that they had replaced the valve stem and a few other things. If I still lost air, come back. I asked how much, NOTHING! We couldn't find a leak. It's been three days, and I'm not loosing air. Gosh, it's so nice to find a company that is soooo honest!
