Bob's Locksmith was recommended to me by a very trusted friend of mine when I mentioned that I needed to get a backup key & fob made for my 2006 Dodge Dakota. Every other place that I had tried simply told me that I had to have a fob because a standard key would only unlock the door but I wouldn't be able to start the truck without a bit of redneck injuneering. I originally contacted Bob's Locksmith on 31 July, transferred information and received a notification today (Aug 6) that the key fob was in. We scheduled a meeting time and he showed up at my residence at the scheduled time. I met him out front and after the initial greetings were out of the way he asked to see my current key because he wanted to try something. I handed him my key and he proceeded to make sure that the fob worked correctly, doing various things to make sure everything worked correctly and evidently looking for some evidence that the ignition required a fob (I think). I am very impressed by what happened next. He went to the back of his vehicle and quickly cut a standard key, inserted the key into the ignition and started the engine and waited a few to make sure there wasn't a fail safe or whatever (I'm assuming). Turns out that this fob is just an option to make your entry easier and the key look kooler. Anyway, I am very impressed by Bob's Locksmith and the punctuality, communication, quality and customer service and will definitely recommend this business anytime his service is needed. read more

Lost one of my two automobile keyless entries . Bob's Locksmith ordered a blank and reprogrammed 2 keys($150.00 cost). Ultimately, I was left with one working reprogrammed key (I already had one that worked properly) and a second key that did not open the trunk. I went to the dealer and now have two keyless entries which work like my originals. Paid locksmith for nothing. Not a good experience. read more
