They are always extremely nice and friendly. Attentive to the safety protocols of the range and very helpful if you have a question. Their gunsmiths are unmatched with both experience and quick service. Now, for the gun store part: I have never seen a store this size that literally has everything you could need. No it is not a mega store like some in Atlanta but that is mainly overkill. Do not see what you are looking for? No problem, they will order it and match the price. This is the only range / gun store that I actually feel welcome and appreciated as a customer.

When the cashier was asked when the ammo might come in, all I got was a shrug and "I don't know". The workers seemed to be more concerned about gossiping about their morning than providing information. Also, I do not believe I received my cash discount that used to be available all the time. Since this company has been bought out or taken over by GLOCK it seems as though it is just another typical corporate business. I do not get the small town welcoming feeling when I walk in the door. By the way, they were late opening the gate this morning as well. I now have doubts about buying my ammo from this store any longer, and I hear the same from many of my friends and family members.

This was my first skeet shooting experience and I had an absolute blast (no pun intended). Thanks…read moreto Jang C. for introducing many of us to the sport. The Tom Lowe Trap & Skeet Range is located in Southwest Atlanta off of Camp Creek Parkway. What do you do here? Shoot clay pigeons with shotguns. It's a lot of fun. Various online deals have floated around for this skeet range. Groupon is one example. I bought my deal through Tippr. Some of the deals are advertised under the business name "Deshotel Arms," which is the gun shop located at Tom Lowe. It's the same place. If you don't have an online coupon, expect to spend about $25 for one round (25 shots). This price includes one round of targets, one pack of ammo (25 shells), gun rental, and eye and ear protection. Successive rounds are less expensive since you're only buying additional targets and ammo (and not re-renting the gun). If you have never gone skeet shooting or shot a shotgun before, I highly recommend going to the free beginner's class at 10:30am on Saturdays. The class is very short, but is important because it teaches you safety, what to expect on the range, and how to properly handle and operate a shotgun. If you plan to take the beginner's class, you need to show up on time as they do not accommodate for late arrivers. There are several shooting stations on the property. Each available station is manned by a Tom Lowe employee whom you give your token to. One token is good for 25 clay targets. The employee stands next to you while you shoot. When you say "pull," the employee launches a target into the air for you to shoot. There are different types of target shooting you can do. The standard one has you moving between six to eight spots on the field. In the beginner's target shooting round, you stand in one spot and fire at targets that move from the low house away from you and the high house towards you. These are easier because you don't have to follow/lead with your gun as much. It's more of a straight shot. Always wear your eye protection when you're on the range. You never know when a broken off piece of clay will come ricocheting towards you. It will leave a mark. Also, be firm with the shotgun, against your body and your face. Some of my friends got sore from the recoil of the shotgun because they were too relaxed in their setup. You want the gun to push your head and body back as a whole, not kick back up and smack you in the face. Men typically shoot 12 gauge shells and women/youth shoot 20 gauge. You can request differently, of course. I shot the 12 gauge because it was standard, but I heard from Christopher P. that it's easier to aim and more fun to use the 20 gauge shotgun. The instructors were nice, but the employee manning our station was not very friendly. It felt like he did not want to be there. We all wished we had a different employee. It wasn't too big of a deal, though, because we still had a great time. It's just like Duck Hunt. Now all they need is a dog that pops up and laughs at you when you miss.

I had Beta Granite, Newnan Ga., to replace my kitchen counters and they did an amazing job! I had them come back a year later to place a top on an island that I had custom made by a local cabinet maker. My experience on both occasions was very pleasing. Beta Granite has a very professional staff; they're very friendly and knowledgeable about they're product, and offers honest advice regarding what works well with your needs, and their prices are very reasonable compared to most granite companies. They were prompt with completion of their work as promised and very accommodating with my work schedule. I searched and inquired at other companies, yet I was really happy I selected them for the service that I needed. I respectfully recommend Beta Granite to everyone! Thanks Shaqir and all the other staff there, because you all were great!

SOMETHING'S MISSING HERE!…read more This is an interesting furniture and home decor store. It had a rustic/shabby chic vibe and reminded me of those stores that you might see in North Georgia cabin country. There wasn't much to see and it felt more like someone's workspace instead of a furniture store. They had two really nice arm chairs that were blocked with a sign that said "Please do not sit on me". Now, how in the world would you ever expect to sell a chair that can't be tested? Also, if you don't want customers sitting on the furniture, don't place it on the main floor or just place it in the window where there is no direct access. I understand that because these chairs were very light in color that they were concerned with them getting soiled but this sign just seemed inappropriate and out of place in a furniture store. Much of what I saw was very light in color so if you want a light decor, you could check out the options here. There are also decorative items to add a bit of visual interest or to complete a look. This store appeared to be staged for visitors to just walk in and out. It just didn't seem very customer friendly although the ladies working here were. I just left feeling confused. Was it me?

The owners/staff were absolutely amazing at helping with the surprise. They helped me do the purchase over the phone, responded quickly to questions, and offered to hold the chairs for me until I could get back to pick them up. When the day came, lo and behold, the chairs wouldn't fit in my car! Temporary panic, but no worries. Lori arranged for immediate delivery for a very reasonable price. Just one more reason to shop local instead of all the hassle of the chain stores! I was so pleased with this purchase, and I have recommended this store to other friends who love to fill their homes with unique pieces. Blue Fern is the real deal. You can get cheap reproductions of the farm house look anywhere, but Blue Fern has truly unique, carefully selected, quality items. So thrilled with the entire experience! Check them out when you are in downtown Newnan.
