In April 2023 I placed a large order at Modani Tampa -- nearly a whole home of furniture, including…read morea Livio 2 sofa sold to me as leather and marketed as "Built To Last." Under a year in, one of the two lift sides failed. Modani's own technician confirmed the malfunction but told me nothing could be done because I hadn't purchased the extended protection plan. One working side ever since. At the three-year mark the seating surface started peeling, and it has spread until the sofa is unusable -- sitting on it leaves flakes on your clothes. What is peeling away is clearly a surface coating, not leather as I was told at the point of sale. Modani lists the material as "eco leather." See the photos: the woven fabric backing is exposed where the coating has flaked off. I gave Modani the chance to make it right and filed a formal claim. Their written answer: everything is out of warranty, and upholstery deterioration at approximately three years "is not considered a manufacturing defect." That tells you exactly how long they expect their product to last -- and what happens when it doesn't. The other items from my order have been fine. But a sofa that breaks in year one and dies in year three, from a store that then refuses any remedy, is not "beautifully crafted, built to last." Do your homework on the materials before buying here.

So far the pillow has been amazing a d it comes with a warranty on the zipper case and the pillow. After a visit to three of the big chains we drove by Mattress Warehouse of Tampa Bay and decided to stop in. My friend saved almost $700 on THE EXACT SAME MATTRESS that we had just seen an hour earlier! The sales woman (Jenifer... I think?) was really knowledgable and friendly and the best part was how fast the process was (so we could get back to the beach!). Anyway, haven't bought here myself but definitely would.

They delivered the furniture just as expected and it lasted for about eight years. And I was able to give it to friends still in good shape.
