ABOVE & BEYOND RENTAL EXPERIENCE!…read more I recently rented a truck from the Woodbridge Enterprise Truck Rental location to support a family move from DC to Dallas. From the initial phone call to my interaction with the team after I returned the vehicle, everything was top-notch. I worked with account specialist Jeremy who helped me understand the rental process, worked to determine what kind of pick-up I needed and the rental and return process. He was knowledgeable in helping me understand the ins and out of the "larger than expected" pick-up and how the fee/billing process was going to work. When I returned the vehicle, I had some minor damage from a hit and run and Jeremy worked with me to understand the repair, insurance, and enterprise policies and process. His time and work helped make a tense process, smooth. I would be remiss if I didn't mention Mr. Eric Williams, who serves as the manager there. Mr. Williams really helped make my rental experience much more than satisfactory. He was friendly, engaging, and really worked with me to ensure the process was smooth. He even helped me with the installation and operation of the adapter and tow-ball I needed for the journey and move. Most of all when we were working through the damage and repair process, Mr. Williams not only helped me understand the process, but helped select the proper category to ensure that not only the vehicle was repaired, but that the situation was equitable for both the business and myself. First, these guys didn't want to detach the car tow dolly because they didn't have room to store it. Then, they tried to charge me for a cleaning fee and dents to the old truck! (The truck had 130K miles on it, tons of dents and scratches and a dashboard secured together with duct tape.) I was only able to avoid the bogus charges because the Budget Truck folks in NYC faxed paperwork to them and spoke to them proving that the truck was old & had damages to it prior to my renting it. These guys were trying anything they could to make an extra buck. Thank goodness for the great team in NYC that saved me!

While trying to resolve the problem, the person handling us at New Baltimore truck and rental was unbelievably arrogant and put her own personal issues above the consumer's problem. She was more interested in making the consumer bend to her issues than solving any problem. I ended up storming out without my problem even being heard. Budget finally got us the 2 trucks a day late and 35 miles away. We had to go pick them up and return them at the distant location. There was no offer to discount because of the poor service. In fact we had to pay for a day more than we would have normally plus additional fuel (about $70.00 for the 2 24 ft trucks). We ended up losing time at work and significant money(we're not salaried ... over $300.00) Stay away .... If you use them and have a problem, you have been warned. Dave Bowen

I rented a 12 foot truck for a base of $16, and 79 cents per mile. That can rack up quickly around here, so plan your routes accordingly. The guys at Budget were very friendly, and the truck was easy to drive, although loud with what I think was a rattling seat. But that's just a reminder that you're driving a real truck. Oddly, Budget was cheaper on both the daily rate and per-mile costs than the Uhaul place nearby, so it's the best deal in Sterling/Dulles now.

BLUF: Rent with U Haul…read more Scheduled a rental on Veteran's Day last week. I called the shop in Sterling to let them know I was running 30 minutes late. When I called Max he indicated the truck I rented was not available. He said that he would check with his corporate HQ to see if there was a loca truck available. When I called back 30 minutes later he advised me there were no trucks available other than a 16' truck in another town. (I had rented a 26' truck because I needed a 26' truck.) Once I made the determination a truck from Budget was not available I contacted U Haul that morning and made a reservation to rent a 26' truck from them and got my daughter moved off to college without further incident. Long story short, if you need to rent a truck use U Haul to get it done!

It would actually take a small book for me to explain the many nuances of issues I had to face and attitudes I overcame with the many different people I interacted with in this organization) - I rented a 16' box truck and drove 1 hour to client which had a load for me to haul. The client asked me to move truck closer to building, when I tried to start truck, it was completely dead. The alternator was bad, not the battery.(I am a certified mechanic) When I called for replacement vehicle, the location I rented it from made me call the 800 service number. I was on hold for 22 minutes. When he answered, he told me I could not get a truck swapped out, I must have service come see the truck. When asked how long that would be, it was 2 to 4 hours. I said that wouldn't work. He hung up on me. I called the local regional office near where I was broke down and demanded they swap trucks. The local agent close to my breakdown said no problem to swap out, but was trying to charge me their standard rates. So I called my regional sales agent who had gotten me special contract pricing due to the amount of rentals I use every year. I had to fight with both regional offices to work that out. The problem came when both the local agent and local manager promised me someone was already dispatched and on there way, and I had to call back 4 times during a 6 hour period before they finally arrived. For reference, I was exactly 2.8 miles from their office! When the truck finally arrived, they didn't have me sign any paperwork or anything. Thy guy jumped out of truck, jumped into a waiting van and split! Didn't check my driver's license to make sure it was me, or anything. This 16' box truck was newer and the trip went fine. Due to my original issues, I wanted to make sure I would not be charged any additional money since I had to wait over 8 hours for the new truck. (they actually cost me around $650 because of this issue, but I was more worried about the long term relationship with my client). The regional office that wrote my original contract had to fight with that other regional office, and after around 4 to 6 hours, they called me and told me they had finally worked it out. I was just to drive it back to my original place of rental and they would work everything else out on their end. I would not be charged for the truck. Today, which has been 24 hours since returning the truck, I get an inspection form showing around 15 to 16 points of supposed damage on the truck they swapped me out with and now I am fighting potential claims, as well as these being added to my record on their database. Which not one scratch was put on vehicle by me. I have a perfect driving record with Enterprise and Budget truck rentals over the past 12 years. The original contracting agent and I know, what they did was not put any previous markings down, and now they're trying to potentially hold me accountable for all previous damage on this vehicle. The only person in this whole scenario who was trying to help me was the original contracting agent. Everyone else had 'zero" care about taking care of me as a customer. As a small business owner and a business coach, there are just way too many red flags here and if you rent from these guys, make sure you check every single thing there is. From the document, to the truck to the entire nuance of your trip. I rent trucks from multiple other sources and I have never experienced such a degraded level of customer service in this industry. Even Uhaul which some claim to be the worse, has given me better service than this.

Came in the morning to pick up the truck, was in and out in 20 mins! Super easy, since most of the application, documentation is done online. Lovely gentlemen helped us get the truck with good functioning door, explained the rules, details! Very pleasant. These trucks are much better than other trucks, since I was doing the move myself, the trucks have all the features I needed, backup camera even. Loved it. Returned the truck the same day at fhe location and dropped the key in the drop-off box, next day I got email with final price (based on miles) and the deposit was returned on my card ($150 temp hold). Service guys told me it was against policy to help bc if the connector snapped it'd be a liability thing. No problem - what surprised me, though, was they stopped by to check in on me regularly while in the parking lot, asked if they could supply any niche tools to help and even came in to help install the new battery once I disconnected the old one. This kind of help is hard to find; quality group of folk who know what they're doing but also not afraid to help you when you need it. Def will continue to return! Highly recommend.

The customer service here is absolutely amazing!…read more I came here regarding a tail light being out--unsure of which light bulbs it is I needed to purchase, I asked the staff member at the counter. He was beyond helpful in assisting and answering my questions and even went outside with me to double check exactly which light it was that was out. Unfortunately, this was the second Advance Auto Parts I had to stop by that morning, which they too did not carry the light I needed either. The staff member was so helpful and informed me that I might actually have to go to a dealership to see if it's the entire back tail light I'd have to replace. (Which ended up being the case) Awesome experience and so glad to have willing and helpful staff member here that went out of their way to make sure I was being assisted as best as possible.
