It is very conveniently located right off of the I-87 exit and is surrounded by numerous shopping and dining options. Our room was ready when we arrived at 3:30 and check in was fast and easy. The rooms themselves are slightly smaller and laid out differently than a standard Holiday Inn Express, and I suspect this property was converted from another brand. All that said, the rooms were comfortable and clean. The pool was a nice area to kill some time in, and the exercise room was appointed well enough to meet all but the most serious gym-rat's needs. The staff here was outstanding. Despite being absolutely stuffed to the gills with guests, they went out of their way to make sure everything was stocked, clean and ready to go. When I was in the lobby waiting for my food delivery the first night, I watched the poor woman behind the desk greet 3 customers who drove in off the street looking for a room and answer phone calls from several more. She answered all of their questions patiently and with a smile. Not once did, "of course there are no rooms left in this small college town that is in the path of totality the night before the eclipse, you cueball brained nimrod!" come out of her mouth, and that's significantly better than I would have fared if placed in the same situation all day long.
