We used this as a base for our holiday in Northumberland and it was great! The location is rural,…read moreso you need a car, although there is a bus stop nearby too, but is well situated for traveling to various .places of interest N,S, E and W of it. The accommodation was ideal for a family group and had the bonus of a garden with picnic table and seats. The open plan living/dining/kitchen area was spacious, with a small conservatory attached that had lovely views of the countryside and the coast in the distance. On the downside, the master bedroom with en-suite was at rear of property, so missed out on the views (and a bit small, although this might not bother most folks anyhow as bedrooms are for sleeping in after all) and thesmaller third bedroom lacked an actual wardrobe,albeit had room for one, but instead had an open storage unit. The owner was very friendly and provided an abundance of useful leaflets, maps, books etc on the property and the area, for guidance/ideas during your stay.

It's been going some 20 years this year. About 3 or 4 thousand turn up & have a great time. The local community welcome the bikers in pubs & shops without issue, although I'm sure the volume of the music is an issue for some. The site itself is in a nice location with a small but perfectly formed castle nestling in the trees. Open fields surround the caravan/ holiday home areas. The castle has the amenities located within ie bars & food. The site is located in the area of weardale & teesdale, perfect for visiting local attractions & the city of Durham. I would certainly recommend it both for the bike rally & a place to take a vacation.

Just ended our 4th stay at Breamish. Aside from N'thumberland being a lovely county with lots to…read moresee and do, the cottages are homely and welcoming, comfy, very well appointed and clean. I think all have a log fire. We've stayed in Coley Law and latterly Honeymug, both have central heating and a log burner for cosy nights in. There's also a nice leisure centre on-site with pool, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and a fitness room all to the same standards as the accommodation. So if you love tranquility away from the madding crowd this is just the dab!!

It was lovely and warm and very comfortable. It was spacious and well kitted out with a kettle and a small fridge. The fire pit is an excellent idea. It is lovely on a night to have the warmth from the fire whilst sitting outside under the stars. Facilities Absolutely spotlessly clean. The kitchen is really well kitted out, nice little sofa and a flat screen TV and loads of equipment. One of the ovens has a broken dial and the temperature is guess work but we managed. This is a lovely place and I would definitely go back.
