My Wife and I love good Vietnamese food, especially Banh Mi so we decided to give this place to try. An older lady at the counter took our order and we explained that we had never been here before and wanted her recommendation as to what would be a great sandwich. We both got the pork sandwiches and she was so nice and friendly by ensuring that our order was correct and if there was anything we needed told us a little bit about the restaurant and wished us a good meal. My Wife and I are both from Southern California specifically originally from Orange County where there are a plethora of Vietnamese and Asian cuisines in the area we have had our share of many Banh Mi and this place here was just as good as any restaurant we would find in the Westminster area of Orange County. If you're looking for a great spot for sandwiches, I would highly recommend.

The woman taking my order seemed to ignore me, and when she did respond, she came across as dismissive. I ordered two bánh mì sandwiches for my kids. The baguette was fresh, but the tofu filling had an unpleasant taste and texture, and the chicken also tasted off to us. After one bite, we didn't feel comfortable eating them and ended up throwing both sandwiches away. I hate wasting food, so that wasn't an easy decision. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this place.

I would recommend the grapefruit green tea with strawberry boba and their brown sugar milk tea with boba! Their bao bun flight is also very good! The open kitchen lets customers watch the boba being simmered in a wok, and we got to see the staff torch the brown sugar topping before serving. We ordered through the self-serve kiosk with no wait. The shop was modern, clean, and the drinks looked promising. Since it's located in a strip plaza, expect plenty of foot traffic and moderate noise during busier times. Our total came to about $18 after adding boba and upgrading both drinks to a large. We tried the Signature Brown Sugar Boba Milk Tea and the Brown Sugar Boba Milk with Dalgona Coffee Foam. The fresh boba had a great chewy texture, but both drinks were much too milky for my taste. The Signature Brown Sugar Boba Milk Tea lacked a noticeable brown sugar flavor. The Brown Sugar Boba Milk with Dalgona Coffee Foam was slightly more flavorful after mixing, but I was still disappointed by how mild the coffee tasted. The menu describes it as having "a perfect balance of sweetness and robust coffee flavor," but I was expecting a much bolder coffee profile that wasn't overpowered by the milk.

While the interior is more modern than the bakeries I grew up visiting in Flushing, New York, the food itself reminded me of home. I picked up a hot dog bun and a custard egg tart from the bakery, then ordered the Hong Kong sticky rice and lychee mango fruit tea with boba (50% sugar, 50% ice). These are some of my favorite comfort foods, and while the prices were a bit higher than what I'm used to back home, I was pleasantly surprised by every item I tried. Everything tasted fresh and authentic. The hot dog bun was soft, and the egg tart had a flaky crust with smooth custard. The sticky rice, wrapped in a lotus leaf, was warm, comforting, and had the subtle savory flavor I love. The fruit tea was refreshing, with real pieces of lychee and mango mixed in. There was plenty of seating for my friend and me to sit, relax, and enjoy our treats. If you're looking for authentic Asian bakery favorites in Orlando, Bakery 1908 is worth checking out. It's the perfect spot for brunch, whether you're craving something sweet or savory or just want a refreshing drink. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm missing the flavors of home.

There's also a counter where you can order actual food. We ordered a Build-Your-Own-Bowl of ramen. You can pick the broth bar, type of noodle, and protein. Hubby ordered pan fried dumplings, similar to pot stickers. One star is missing from this review due to the alarming amount of oil that the dumplings were dripping with. There was just so much oil!! Service was really great.... The workers explained their offerings and the server that brought the food was courteous. You'll love the spacious dining room. There is a woodlands forest themed mural on the wall, complete with a deer in the woods. I've noticed that they stay open pretty late... So, this is a great place to go for a late night meet up.

Service was great throughout my visit, and the staff were attentive. The Susuru Gohan was fantastic and definitely my favorite dish of the night. It comes with a soy-cured organic raw egg yolk, sweet aged soy, onion, Japanese seasoning, and steamed rice. I added both uni and ikura, and everything paired really well together. I would absolutely order this again! Their drinks and cocktail menu is very extensive and I chose the Ultraman drink, which was great. It's made with Haku vodka, lime juice, cinnamon chai syrup, grenadine, cran-apple, and ginger beer, topped with a dehydrated apple and normally a limited mini Ultraman toy. They were out of the toy when I went, so they offered a $2 discount, which I didn't mind at all. For yakitori, I tried the Hiza Nankotsu (knee cartilage). Their skewers are prepared in-house and grilled over Japanese binchōtan charcoal, then finished with aged tare and served with Susuru citrus salt. The knee cartilage was good and had a nice crunchy texture. I also tried the Mi-So-Hot ramen which comes with pork chashu, a shoyu soft-boiled egg, corn, scallions, chili hair, and spicy miso broth. It was just okay for me. There wasn't anything particularly wrong with it, but nothing really stood out either. With so many other options on the menu, I probably wouldn't order it again. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience at Susuru! The attentive service made solo dining at the bar comfortable, and the Susuru Gohan was easily the highlight of my meal. I'd definitely come back to try more of the menu.

I fell asleep waiting in my car after an hour goes by and went inside to check because I saw empty tables from the outside and had heard from the hostess. I told her that I had been waiting for over an hour and she said that there was about 4 parties in front of me. I went back outside to wait for less than 5 min and she called me in saying the table had cancelled so my table is now available. That was already a red flag - she totally forgot about me!!! After being seated, the waiter took literally 15min to even come acknowledge us because he was too busy talking to his friends at the next table. We have actually been to Volcano before at another location in TN and it was a different experience. We chose this location for dinner because of our past experience and was very disappointed. First off, the food itself was fine. It was everything else that was just, weird. First, they confused us because the price list only showed either hotpot or hotpot plus bbq. They said because I wanted hotpot they were going to charge my wife and daughter extra. Then when we sat down they told my wife they used margarine, which my wife didn't want. The waitress came back and said it was actually butter, not margarine. No idea if that was true or not. Then we started cooking the BBQ and she came back and took all my food off to put a piece of paper down to cook the food on. I've never seen that before at any Korean BBQ in my life. Then I tried to cook a second plate and she again came running over and took all my food off again to swap the paper. We also had to request side dishes. No mention of what they were on the menu, and the other location we had been to was self service. The meats we tried tasted pretty good, but the buffet was setup without much labels. Some of the items said bbq only, but other items had no indication on them. Most other combined hotpot and bbq places clearly mark what is for which. With so many options around Orlando I wouldn't come back again.
