I'm a regular customer here and order food 2-3 times a week, so normally I'm very familiar with the…read moreservice. Unfortunately, this experience was very disappointing. I placed my order online and arrived about 5 minutes before the scheduled pickup time. I waited inside past the pickup time while watching several customers walk in, place their orders at the counter, receive their drinks, and leave. After waiting for a while, I stepped outside to check on my family, who were eating ramen next door, and explained that my order was taking longer than expected. I went back inside, and by then it was already more than 10 minutes past the promised pickup time. I continued waiting until an employee finally asked if I was waiting for an order. When I showed her my online order, she told me she had been trying to call me. I had been watching my phone the entire time and had no missed calls. What bothered me most was her attitude afterward--she seemed like she simply didn't care that I had been standing there waiting. At that point, I had been waiting approximately 20 minutes, so I asked for the order to be canceled and the money refunded to my credit card. I order here all the time and normally enjoy the drinks, which is why this was especially frustrating. I understand that new employees need time to learn, but they also need proper training on online orders, communication, and customer service. Regular customers shouldn't be left standing around while their order is apparently ready without anyone making a reasonable effort to let them know.

Love this place! I…read morediscovered boba when my daughter moved to San Jose. I have to admit that it was an acquired taste - a drink with chewy chunks in it was a little weird. Over the years, I became accustomed to what I call "California sweet" - barely, barely sweet. My first couple of visits to Leafly were a learning experiences - everything was just way too sweet. Even "light sweet" was too sweet. It's quite understandable, though, southerners basically bathes in sweet tea. I've since learned to ask for "barely sweet". I visit Leafly when I go to the UPS store to make my Amazon returns. Let's just say I visit Leafly often. Today I ordered my usual large Jasmine milk tea, barely sweet, light ice. I have very little doubt something else from Amazon won't fit, won't work or won't meet my expectations. I'm sure I'll be back soon.
