Resil Home Improvements was the best priced and came with good recommendations. I took a chance on them and couldn't be happier. They did what they said they were going to do, when they said they were going to do it. They were professional and cleaned up after themselves after each day. Living through construction is hard so this is important. They offered financing options which I needed. They have a show room on 111th and Kedzie making it convenient for me to see samples. Pinterest was also wonderful for paint ideas and other details. My whole first floor was updated and is absolutely beautiful. I look forward to working with them next year when I tackle the outside. I feel obliged to share this wonderful outcome with you. If you have any type of home-improvement coming up, I strongly recommend you get three prices and include Resil in the bidding. They will not let you down. Thanks to my construction team Dave, Mike, Patrick, and Bartek. I'm so happy!

Tried and Tested... Resil Home Improvements Is the Real…read moreDeal! This review does not greet you during the honeymoon phase of a beautiful home renovation. In fact, the Resil Team completed a full reconfiguration of our kitchen just ahead of Thanksgiving 2023. My wife and I set out to inventory local contractors for multiple home Improvements. Spring of 2023, we attended the Oak Lawn Home and Garden Show to speak with professionals in the industry. The team over at Resil were one of many vendors present for home and/or property construction. We left the event with a host of companies to choose from. We learned very quickly that contractors lose enthusiasm and interest when you actually do your homework prior to a major project. We chose Resil. The owner Mike, and his team were clear experts of this industry. We decided to start with the kitchen instead of our three bathrooms. From start to finish, the entire Resil Crew maintained a professionalism that was greatly appreciated. They arrived as scheduled and worked in rotation according to their particular craft and expertise. In closing, One Year Later, our reconfigured kitchen has hosted 2023 and 2024, Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners; and it's still beautiful and functional! We gained a ton of storage space, our college and high school kids have enjoyed entertaining friends, but most importantly, my wife still raves about how our kitchen allows her to face our family and guest when preparing meals! We've shared Resil Home Improvements with neighbors and friends because their carpentry reflects their character. We're planning our next projects with Resil!

Poor Craftsmanship, Long-Term Damage…read more I hired Byrne Johnson (worked with Bill) for a new roof in 2024. Problems started right away: unsealed nail heads and jagged shingle edges hanging over the eaves. Bill came out to fix those, though I had to withhold final payment to get it done. Two years later, we found water coming up through a floorboard in a bedroom. The cause: the chimney was never flashed properly and the shingles around it were poorly installed. Water had been pooling and running down inside our wall for two years. It took a stretch of heavy storms before enough water reached the carpet for us to feel it underfoot. I called Bill. He said he was too busy with roofing jobs to come out, and that despite my 5-year guarantee, this wasn't covered under warranty. The roofer I hired instead was taken aback by what he found -- not just the chimney, but crooked shingle lines, more unsealed nails, and missing flashing in other spots. That company is just as busy this time of year and still managed to show up and fix it.

Though when I had concerns, they listened and made changes. I was ecstatic when the old roof was torn off and the new one put on all within 5 hours. Then the crew removed all their drop cloths, cleaned up, and used a magnet to pick up nails. Our new roof is beautiful and better than our neighbors because our roof vents look just like our shingles. Mike and Gabriel did an outstanding job. Thank you, Roofing Staff & Remodeling Inc.

Chad kept us informed every step of the way, from what work was being done, to the estimates completion date. When he showed up for the estimate, he gave us some options, took some measurements and we had a written estimate before he left. From approving the estimate to the materials showing up was only two weeks! The crew (Andy and Jack) showed up every day ready to work and did so tirelessly until the end of each day. They asked great questions to make sure nothing got damaged or misplaced, and the finished product was better that we had hoped! All scrap was removed and our yard was left in great condition. The job took six days for removal of old material and installation of new siding, soffit, fascia and gutters. Most importantly, the wife is happy!

When I first…read morecontacted High Point, the owner, Angelo, spoke to me directly and scheduled time to come to our home. He brought a ton of samples of different materials, recommendations for different types of materials under there shingles and brought pages and pages of references of happy customers. We have a very high pitch roof and the work he did was simply amazing. We have a new house from the gutter to the ridge. His team even took time to paint our vents to match the roof color. This is an example of the attention to detail that Angelo and his crews take pride in doing for their customers. The entire job took a day and a half to complete and there wasn't a piece of garbage, shingles, nails (you name it) on the ground. They protected my landscape, my windows, my doors and anything that could potentially be damaged by removing shingles. Angelo also met with my contractor who was doing some work with me in my backyard to ensure that our roof was protected from ice dams in the winter, etc. He has that kind of foresight and will stand behind his work. I cannot recommend High Point Roofing more. Stop your search and go with the best - he really exceeded expectations from start to finish and I would use him again in a heartbeat!
