Two weeks ago I purchased a used 2025 Honda from Bob Johnson CDJR in Watertown. Our experience was without event until we got home and realized that one of the two key fobs was missing the "hard key" (the piece that you'd use to start the car if the fob battery died). Our salesman (Sean K) assured me it wouldn't be a problem. The finance manager (Brian P) told me he'd gotten approval for a replacement. And then both stopped answering my inquiries. So much to write! Stay away from this dealership in Watertown ny! First of all my son bought a truck got to finance they had it as a lease! Sat there for another 2 hours for everything to be redone. After having the truck for less than a year the alternator went up. None to be found until September! My son traded the truck for NEW Subaru at Fuccillo! Great experience. Paid less for a new than used. Ok now he had purchased an extended warranty. He filled out papers that day to get refund from warranty company. On the paper it said send to customer or dealership. Bob Johnson said it had to be sent to them....wrong! After getting a letter and talking to warranty company refund could have been sent to my son! Called Bob Johnson's they said they didn't have check which warranty company said they did. Was told Bob Johnson would send check on the 3 rd. No check! Called on the 4th was told it would be the 11th. Called on the 12th no one knows about it. Told them I would be to get check on the 13th. Called to see if they had check ready on the 13th...oh the check went in the mail this morning. Mind you it's 10 am and they open at 9. Guessing that's a lie! Chantelle (I think) was very very rude everytime spoken to. Buyer be ware worst experience ever for sales and finance! Bought a used car with only 29,000 miles on it and it was delivered to me with almost bald tires. Also, delivered to me with the "low tire pressure" light on. My Jeep has been there for over a month and I have recieved no updates at all on anything. I have had to call several times just to be told empty promises, and that they don't have an ETA on when it's going to be done. Every single staff member in that department is so incredibly rude, and they make you feel like you're the nuisance for asking simple questions. Yes! They love the freedoms the military provides, especially the freedom to sell a vehicle that has a major mechanical issue; identified after purchase. After I purchased a vehicle from this establishment, a mechanical issue was found that needed to be fixed to ensure safety while operating the vehicle. After informing staff and 3 general sales managers of the mechanical issue, they made promises: trade-in, fix the mechanical issue, and schedule basic appointments to address the issue with me; all promises were not honored. I recommend to any vehicle buyers, especially military service members, to avoid buying from this business. They will not assist you in a time of need, follow through on their promises, and avoid communication with you after purchase. read more

This place is the epitome of a corrupt business. They take advantage of customers, they don't treat customers with dignity or respect. All a customer is to this business is a person they can scam for more money. They will say and do anything to get you into a vehicle no matter the cost to you! After they sell you the car, if anything is wrong with it, they will ignore you until the 60 day warranty is up. Then they'll get you right into their service center where they'll charge you $270 for an oil change. They wont fix whats actually wrong even if you have an extended warranty. Sometimes they will purposely ruin your car to say it will need fixing so they can keep charging you more money for fixtures you didn't need. If you have a recall they will charge you 2,000 dollars for something supposed to be free. A bunch of scam artists!! These are some of the things this business has done to me and others in my community. They told a friend of mine keep sending them lawsuits they'll just keep winning. This place should be ashamed of themselves and we WILL be filing a complaint with the NYS dmv for how they treated my almost 90 year old grandfather. He took his truck for an inspection to then be told he needed new brakes, which was fine I could have went up and changed them for him. After telling him his truck failed inspection they informed him he was not aloud to leave the shop with the truck and would need to pay for his brakes to be changed there because they wouldn't release the truck. This vehicle wasn't in need of brakes badly enough to make it unsafe for the road nor is it legal to hold someone's vehicle hostage to charge outrageous rates. It's predatory. They robbed him of $2,000 for brakes and then tried to rip him off of an additional $800 more with a higher labor rate when he came back to pick the truck up. These people pray on the elderly and are a bunch of SCUMBAGS. This was at the Watertown dodge location. I'm continuing to share this review everywhere I can as well. read more

Quite possibly the worst dealership I've ever dealt with! Took in my jeep on a Tuesday and didn't receive it back for 7 days for a 10 hour job! Not to mention the lack of communication from the service reps. I was told I would get called with updates for example, my car was supposed to be done Thursday or Friday of that same week and was told I would receive calls for update, here it is now Friday at 4:50 before closing no call. I then take it upon myself to call and get answers to find out it won't be done until Monday. Then the same thing happened Monday saying it will be done first thing Tuesday morning and that they would call me when it was ready. Then comes Tuesday waiting for a call, nothing.... I had to call again to find out my car had been done for a while they were just lazy. On top of all of that when I picked my car up it smelled like cigarettes (I don't smoke). Kenneth Reed was honest and attentive to what I was looking for and needed and with the help of his manager was able to get into the vehicle I not only needed but wanted. I never got hassled and was well taken care of. It was also very quick and not so much of a long and drawn out process. Overall everyone I dealt with was very pleasant and the professionalism and customer service displayed was top notch. Purchased my current Jeep from Bob Johnson Jeep in Watertown, NY (as well as other vehicles). Had sunroof replaced once already due to a leak. Problem was not fixed right, and have been back and forth with the service department several times for this issue. Made one final attempt to get this issue fixed. Called on 5/13/2024 and MADE AN APPT FOR MONDAY 5/20/2024. I even dropped it off the night prior, no envelopes in the night drop box. Dealt with Chase Grant. Day of service appt, (5/20/24), no update call, so I called at 5:30pm (dealership closing at 6p). I was told by Chase that they didn't even get a chance to look at my car. Confusing, since I HAD A APPT. Day two, 5/21/24, again no update call. I again needed to reach out. I called at 5:04 and 5:07pm. Spoke with Chase, stating they were able to find the leak, but unable to get with their "glass guy" in order to have it fixed, or set up an appt to have it fixed. Day three, 5/22/24, I called Chase at 2:18pm for an update as I have been borrowing vehicles to get back and forth to work. He stated that they still hadn't had a chance to get with the "glass guy" but that I could pick up my vehicle and he would be in touch as soon as there was an appt set up. I went to pick up my car, Chase was conveniently unavailable. There was a woman that went out and brought my car around, and she was very nice. I did confirm with her that Chase would follow up with an appt to fix this ongoing sunroof problem and she stated, "yes, he will call you". June 11, 2024, 22 days since I was told that I WOULD RECEIVE A FOLLOW UP CALL, and still nothing. I called on 6/11/24 at 11:41 to speak with Chase, whom is again, conveniently unavailable. I left a detailed message with another service worker asking why I had not heard anything from them and also requesting a copy of all of my service records and also a copy of my extended warranty. As of today, 7/11/2024, I have not received a call back from Chase Grant or anyone from Bob Johnson Jeep's service department. I am looking forward to the day that I no longer will have to deal with them. Unfortunately, @Jeep has also lost a customer. I don't care to have a vehicle that I cannot get proper maintenance or service work done on. read more

I bought two vehicles from Bob Johnson, both under market value. I bought a 2018 power wagon through Logan Bishop cheaper than I could at any other dealer I was looking for. I had several problems occur with the truck, an after market exhaust had broken off. They were able to get me my preference of the stock exhaust, at no cost to me. Logan made sure it got fixed. The service department can be a bit slow, but they have a larger inventory so it is to be expected. In addition to my power wagon we purchased a Chevy traverse. Very clean car, in good shape, however we discovered that year of Chevy traverse has a lot of motor problems. We went back and forth to Pulaski to utilize the manufacturing warranty of Chevy for the past six months. Bob Johnson did a great job explaining us the tough situation, and worked with us on a resolution. I definitely recommend Logan Bishop. If theirs a problem he does a great job managing his busy work load to fix problems. read more

Today I experienced an attempt to overcharge me for services not requested. Two days prior to service I informed the gentleman over the phone that I wanted navigation added to my truck's stereo system. He stated that it would be 45-60 minutes. When I arrived at the service department of the dealership, the lady asked about doing a diagnostic on my radio. I told her no, I was there for navigation to be added to my vehicle. I asked her how much it would be. She again stated that a diagnostic of 45-60 minutes was $134. I again stated, "To clarify, I am here to have navigation put on my vehicle." I waited 75 minutes in the waiting lounge and then was told I was all set. The same lady was ready to check me out when I asked, "So was navigation added to my truck." She didn't know. I stated, again, "That is why I am here. That is what I informed the guy two days ago." She went to the back and came back and said they checked the vehicle and it can be added with a device. I said, well that is why I came an hour and a half ago. The lady said that I could apply the $134 to the cost of the "device." She said it was $599 including labor. She then brought me back to the parts department. The gentleman there, who seemed more knowledgable, stated that an app for navigation could be added to my truck. He stated it would cost $599 and take 30 minutes. I said, Okay, that is what I would like. He stated that he could get me immediately. I left to run an errand and returned about 15 minutes later. Upon my return, my truck was immediately serviced. About 30 minutes later the same lady was ready to cash me out. She stated the cost was $714 (in addition to the $134 I already paid). She tried to state that labor was taken off the bill, which happened to be $62 per hour. When I explained that I was told it would take 30 minutes and that is what it did take, she stated that it is in the system as two hours. I then asked to see a manager. Upon her return she went to the computer and removed $62 worth of labor from the bill. She informed my of the reduction. I told her that I already paid $134 for a service I didn't want. I simply wanted navigation put on my truck at $599 plus tax. I then asked, "So are you denying me to speak with a manager?" The lady then left and returned and stated that he said to apply a $134 coupon to the bill. She returned to charge me $502 (plus the $134 I already paid). When doing the math, this is the exact charge that should have been made had the proper service been provided ($599 plus tax). Unfortunately, it took nearly three hours and not agreeing to sign paperwork for service NOT requested, to arrive at my original reason for being there. I am very disappointed that a service manager couldn't take the time to come out and speak with me and the fact that I spent an entire morning at a service lounge for something that should have taken 45 minutes. read more

Last year booked service appt online . Showed up for appt and was told online booking not working and had to reschedule 2 weeks out . Last week started using the "book appt " on their website with response "you will be contacted shortly " sent in 3 requests with no response so assumed after a year online service still not working . Called the number and selected service department .. lady answered stated she needed to grab her schedule .. on hold for 10 min then disconnected. RAM is running a promotion of 20% off MSRP on 2022 RAM 2500's through the end of July I saw a truck online at Bob Johnson in Watertown on Tuesday and called to make a test drive appointment for Friday, giving the sales assistant all of my information, as well as information on the truck I wanted to test drive. I traveled three hours to the dealership. When I arrived, I was introduced to my salesman, Logan Bishop, who leaned back in his chair and asked "so what can I help you with?" I was confused, as I was very specific about the vehicle I was coming to see. When I explained the purpose of my visit, Logan tells me that they had three of the 2022 RAM 2500 diesels, but all of them were sold. In the meantime, my husband was walking around outside and saw the truck I wanted to test drive with a SOLD sign and a DELIVERY DATE of 7/21, which was the same day we were at the dealership. Back at Logan's desk, I struggled to keep my composure as I asked him why I was not given the courtesy of a phone call to tell me that the vehicle was sold and they had NO 2022 diesels eligible for the 20% off MSRP pricing in stock. At that point, Logan changed his story to say that the truck I came to drive JUST SOLD moments before I arrived and the gentleman was in the dealership filling out paperwork and that's why he didn't call. If the truck JUST SOLD and the gentleman was doing paperwork, why did the truck already have a SOLD sign on it with a DELIVERY DATE of 7/21. To avoid making a scene, I simply stood up and walked out, with Logan calling out to me as I walked away. Once outside, I went to look at the SOLD sign on the truck and Logan followed, again calling out to me that the truck JUST sold and if I stuck around, maybe something might change. The man was TAKING DELIVERY of his new truck! You have no other 2022 RAM 2500's on the lot. What was going to change and why didn't I get the courtesy of a phone call, as the truck sold well before Friday morning. The truck was sitting right in front of the dealership and was meticulously detailed for delivery. Logan must have believed that if he pretended not to know the purpose of my visit and lied about the vehicle JUST BEING SOLD, I would somehow be interested in purchasing a different vehicle from him. WRONG! It is outrageous that the dealership was given my location information and information on the specific truck I wanted to see, but failed to notify me that the truck was SOLD well before I left my home. Common courtesy and customer respect would have dictated a simple phone call to tell me they had no 2022 RAM diesels on the lot. On our way home, we stopped at Friendly RAM in Penn Yan, New York and I purchased my new RAM 2500 diesel in GORGEOUS Granite Crystal Metallic from a terrific salesman, Cassidy Case. I value honestly and integrity above all, and Bob Johnson RAM in Watertown failed to exhibit either of these character traits. read more

Save yourself the aggravation and do business elsewhere. I was working with Robert on buying a car and he gave me his word that the car was mine. As I was about to make the deal he notifies me that the car was sold to someone else. Had Robert met his agreed upon appointment times with me this would have never happened. Nothing but chasing down for answers and dealing with incompetent Sales rookies. The manager of Sales department Ren couldn't return a call when promised either. This dealership does not hire Men of their word and you'll hear nothing but excuses. My biggest regret is doing business with Bob Johnson. I have been over a month without me vehicle and its been a shit show since the beginning. I have no response on what is wrong with it or when it will be fixed. I was told it was done a week ago. My vehicle sat so long the Battery died and they tried to get my husband and I to pay for it. After I showed up to get my vehicle I didn't make it a half mile down the road without the check engine light coming on. I have called daily for updates two days in a row I was told the oil is getting changed. They cant tell me what code is being thrown or any course of action. everything about this place is absolutely horrible I made an appointment over a month ahead of time. my vehicle was there for 6 days for 2 hours worth of work. Took more time moving the truck around in the parking Lot everyday than working on it I needed an alignment and my eps reprogrammed. I was told everyday my truck would be in next for a whole week. when i got my truck back finally. i had no paperwork on my alignment so I'm guessing they screwed me on that. there was a note stating my cam bolt for caster n camber was siezed in the bushing but I was still charged and not told about it personally I will never go there again and would not recommend anybody else too. read more
