When we walked in they said it would be a 5-10 minute wait. We ended up waiting almost 30 minutes to be seated. Then when we finally got a table and ordered we didn't even have silver wear. We had to call the waitress back over to ask for silver wear. After we got the silver wear there were no straws so once again we had to call the waitress over to ask for straws. When we had finally got our food after a good hour wait my little sister asked for cheese fries, instead of cheese sauce they put cold shredded cheese on her fries and her scrambled eggs weren't even scrambled and they were cold. My other little sister ordered the sun rise burger and it said it came with maple syrup. The maple syrup had little specks in it and tasted bitter and rotten. Not maple syrup at all. We had to push our empty cups to the edge of the table for the waitress to finally ask if we needed refills. Lastly the tip options were outrageous the minimum was 15% tip. They must be preparing to close, as I have been here twice in last week and they only have cook and one waitress. I waited 5 mins at front waiting to be seated until I walked to the dinning area and found the one waitress to get seated. I normally like this restaurant but the waiting time is hard if you have other things to have to do. Sad to see them go down hill, I will have to find another place . read more

My wife and I decide to have dinner at the Bob Evans, Plymouth Indiana. What disappointment!!! She ordered the chicken finger platter, and I ordered the chicken noodle -deep dish dinner. Her chicken fingers were small and dry out. The french fries look greasey. As far as my meal it was disgusting. It was supposed to be mashed potatoes and a biscuit with chicken noodles on top. Instead, it was a plate of chicken broth with a soggy biscuit, dissolved mash potatoes and few noodles. It was not worth the money. read more

I wanted to give this place a chance because it didn't have a good rating on yelp, but we really wanted to go to Bob Evans. My first impression was not good because the greeter was anything but. Maybe she was having a bad day but after I said hi with a smile, she didn't even respond so I continued with there will be two of us. She said it'll be a minute. She clearly seemed like I was bothering her, we got our seat and ordered our food. Our server Rachel was nice. The food took 20 minutes which we thought was a little long, but not the end of the world. The over easy eggs were great. The bacon was very dry. It looked like maybe old bacon that was reheated. The hashbrowns didn't look good but they did taste good, overall, I have mixed feelings about it. I don't know that I would go back again between the ratings I saw before mine and my own experience. Also, it may not seem like a big deal, but in the ladies room, there was no hook for my bag. I had a sling bag, thank goodness, but if I did not I would be annoyed. We were in the side of the building like in a little enclosed porch area and the speaker was terrible-very static-but the server had no control to turn it off so we were stuck listening to that the whole time. Didnt get our drinks until 5 minutes before our food came out. Waited 45min for our food. Our food was all undercooked. On top of that our waitress drop sausages and we didn't get them until we were getting up to leave. read more

The manager dude Jeremy was not very polite. He was very rude. When I went to pay for it he left the block where they block off to pay you know at certain cashier places he had it blocked off. He acts like I was stupid I will not be back there. read more

Just had a very bad experience at the Plymouth Bob Evans, fist of all the waiter forgot both my sides to my meal which wasn't a big deal since she was quick to retrieve them when brought to her attention. The worst part though was when I was half way through eating my country style chicken breast when I realized the middle of it was still raw and cold, I looked up to my wife only to see that her meal was drastically undercooked as well. I am shocked about the new businesses in the area. When I lived here long ago, Bob Evan was one of the town "staples". And without a doubt, it still is. Since I last seen it it has been remodeled very fashionable. My waitress was very nice and very informative. I ordered the everything omelette it was very, good very tasty and cost was just right. My mom had the car plate and she enjoyed it also. At the cashiers death there are lots of little goodies you can borrow. I decided to get the coffee and I'll let you know how that goes. There's absolutely no reason for me to get such a small amount of food when i order, i ordered a side of fries with my meal and my fries where all over the place also i was presented with such a small amount of fries. My chicken was tiny about the size of two chicken strips and over just a very very disappointing meal. read more

Normally we enjoy this restaurant but we asked for crisp bacon and the potatoes fried crisp and they were totally burnt. We really did not think our meal was in the $20 category we enjoy at other restaurants. read more

My son and I go to this Bob Evans every Sunday. We always have delicious meals and wonderful service!

Went in one day for dinner and the service was horrible. The hostess seemed annoyed and was rude when seating us. Waited awhile before getting asked what we wanted to drink. After ordering our food we witnessed one of the women managers yelling at one of her employees for a small mistake that could be fixed with no problem. Bad employment means bad experience for the customers. After getting our food and started eating the food was gross. Paid too much for such horrible food and service. Am not going back here. If it was possible I would give this restaurant no stars. read more

Ordered a Thanksgiving meal "Holiday Farmhouse Feast". Plenty of great food! Comes with timing and heating instructions. I traveled from Pennsylvania to be with family. Saved mom and dad tons of preparation and cooking time. I would highly recommend this. We will do it again! read more

The food was good. The issue was that the waitress that was serving us took my brother's plate without asking if he was finished in which he was not. He still had several forkfuls or hash browns left. Also my mother got hot cakes and the cooks forgot to put whip cream on them. That's a given. read more

i'm a local, but don't eat here often because I think the menu prices are a bit high for what you get. Having said that, I tried the turkey dinner today. The food was good, and the service was excellent. I was surprised to see that a great server for a competing restaurant now works here. We were driving thru from Chicago to Granville Ohio.We decided to stop in and have breakfast. We were greeted by a pleasant host whom was super friendly and seated us promptly. We were treated very badly the last time, so we thought we would give the restaurant another chance, in case it was a bad day. Our wait person NEVER brought water, nor our drinks, and when my husband ordered the "burger" of his choice from the menu, he did not want french fries nor any potato and was told he had to take french fries because that is how they come and if he didn't want potatoes to order a different item that came without them! This Bob Evans is terrible. They treat their employees terrible and the food is going down hill fast! When address this with the female assistant general manager she acted as though it was bother some to her! She deffinately needs to go and the food well wouldn't give it to my dog from this location! My experience at the Plymouth bob Evans has been rough. I have never been to bob Evans before and my first time they try and poison me by severing raw chicken to me and my husband. Traveling from Chicago to Ohio, stopped here for breakfast. I have to say, this was the best Bob Evans. The hostess was great, we were seated fairly quickly for a busy Saturday Morning. Our waitress Mariah, was fantastic. We ordered standard breakfast, eggs etc, but the food was great, HOT, and delivered pretty quickly. We hadn't even finished our first cup of coffee. (and they have wonderful flavored creamers if you want them!). I did ask for the Manager to not complain, but let her know of her wonderful staff. I wish I lived closer. As we travel often to Ohio to visit family, this will from now on be the place we always stop! read more

Used to visit here about 3 times a month for the past 10+ years. But in the last year we mostly quit going there because they changed their menu drastically and raised their prices. Now we go elsewhere for the same price they charge. When we did go there 95% of the time we got great service and great food. I reccomend this place if you like thier new food and bread. read more

I'm not sure why I gave this place another chance, I've never had a good experience at this location. The Bob Evans 40 miles west in Valparaiso is wonderful! Arrived after the Sunday morning rush, because my mother in law insisted on going to get pie. They had 10 tables occupied. We were seated in a far corner, where we sat for 15 minutes before anyone even took a drink order. No less than five employees congregated around the not busy cash register laughing and whooping it up. Another three employees then had a huddle where they were eyeballing us and clearly arguing. One of those three finally comes over with an eye roll and in a huff, complaining that they switched sections on her and she didn't realize we were her responsibility. No apology, just deflecting blame. Ordered a Mountain Dew, which was flat. Two of us ordered Caramel Sundaes, and Bob Evans has a picture of their sundaes right there on your table. It was in the dish just like the picture, with less than half of the ice cream shown and zero whipped cream. Mentioned that to the waitress, who took them back for repair, and brought them back with a dribble of whipped cream on each. Again no apology, just another eye roll and complaint about a trainee in the back. But hey, we did get to pay full price for everything. Before we arrived, we went and spent $50 on lunch at a competitor, as I wasn't giving this Bob Evans another opportunity to ruin my food. Little did I know they could screw up dessert just as easily. Save yourself some money - eat at the Arby's next door. You'll avoid the half-assed food and lousy service. read more

Food was standard breakfast-place-oriented affair. And service was good. What ruined the course for me (hey, I'm thrifty) was getting my coupon rejected because it was 4 days expired. No effort either to try to make something happen, just "it's expired, you can't use it." Of course, it was the coupon that gave us the idea to go there, and we ordered things specifically because of it. Not a big deal, I didn't play by their rules, but I was a server once and now in business and wouldn't let something as minor as an expiration date be cause for fuss.
