What a great place…read more.. Wifie and I really enjoyed our trip to the Big Apple Cafe. The staff was over the top friendly, and the service was great. The decor is a cool kind of small town diner with a hint of New York. The food is really good... I had the Ruben with the fresh cut fries, which was delicious - the fries are a must try. Wifie had their salad with chicken, which was really big and very well put together. This place is well worth stopping by for a meal. They serve breakfast all day.

In the past we have also shared the mussels. How has our experience at the Old Bag of Nails Pub rated? Well, I love the Fish & Chips with Shrimp, the wife loved her burger, their slaw is top notch, and we both love the mussels, so the food gets a solid 5. The facility is very nice and we rate it a 4+. Our waitresses have been great, all 3 times, and they get a solid 5. The price we've paid for what we have received is very fair, so we rate this a 5. While the historical ambiance and beautiful views at the Granville Inn make for a great atmosphere,…read morethe dining experience itself left room for improvement. I ordered the eggs Benedict, and it was fairly average, edible, but nothing special, making the price feel a bit high for what was served. The service was also a mixed bag: my waitress was new and a bit unusual, though I did notice several other team members who were polished and attentive. It is a lovely setting with incredible views, but the food and service consistency could use some refinement.

He even joked to me that he was glad he brought his own drink because he couldn't have waited that long without it. A few tables came in, sat, ordered, ate, and left before we got our food. The staff running around seemed to be trying to take care of tables but it was pretty disorganized. I know they have a sign up for "now hiring" so I'm assuming they are understaffed, but my unsolicited advice is to not sit tables you can't serve. Once we did get our food the sandwich was soggy and the breakfast items were cold. I'll give credit that the pancakes were hot and weren't bad. Overall a rough visit. Usually work to avoid most chains and fast food spots in favor of local, mom and pop options, and would recommend trying somewhere else.
