Waited 40 mins as we were only one on a Sunday at dinner time. Chicken salad sandwich was good but upgraded to onion rings which I got 5 and they were hard as rocks. My wife got the turkey dinner and everything was cold as the waitress said they cooked chicken breasts instead of tenders. Possibly one of the dirtiest places I've been to outside of a large urban area. Like post apocalyptic filth. Food was passible, but I was worried it was eating dirt. Wait staff was friendly enough, but the cooks were not the cleanest looking bunch. One Prince Charming was taking his break on a front bench when we pulled up. He was smoking, talking on his phone like an OG, and hocking loogies like it was an Olympic sport. I'd highly recommend avoiding this place. I will be from now on. read more

Came here at 9PM on a Friday night on the way back from vacation. Had to wait 45 minutes for our food. Two members of our part got omelettes with a type of sauce they were out of. Instead of telling us they just left it off. Food was cold when served. Manager apologized and even picked up the tab because of the long wait and missing ingredients. There was a little confusion at the front door, concerning a lady who was telling the front desk "they won't seat me" so we never found out what that was about. We ordered original breakfasts with turkey link sausage. Both of our sausage orders came out barely warm, but we fixed that by cutting the links up and submerging them in our steaming bowls of grits. My wife doesn't drink coffee so she got hot water for tea. Later on, the waitress refilled my coffee and my wife asked for more hot water for a second cup of tea and got coffee instead. Likely to be our last visit to a BE for a while but it was convenient and they had breakfast at 1230 pm. read more

Had a great to-go dinner from this location. The salmon entree with broccoli is Keto friendly (of course you have to say no to the rolls!) Brooke was very helpful. I do suggest getting your Apple Pay fixed (11/15/2019), especially because it is advertised on Apple Maps. I was fortunate enough to have an alternative payment method, others might not. read more

Terrible service. We were passing through back to ohio and decided to stop for a bite to eat. We could have chosen lone star steakhouse or mcds but we went to bob evans. We were seated promply but that was the only plus to the visit. Our server asked if we were ready to order but we said we needed a few minutes to browse the menu. The server returned about 2 minutes later with our drinks and asked if we were ready to order. We had been talking to each other and said we needed a few more minutes. That was the last we saw of the server. We waited for around 20 to 25 minutes and still no sign. We decided to finish our drinks and pay. I told the cashier we never received a ticket as we never saw our server. She apologized and our drinks we free. Took my mom and sister to eat in Kanawha City. All was good, drinks served quickly and hot, food served on time and our server was friendly and very nice. Our server was very busy, I got up and asked for two coffee refills. I heard the manager ask "who's customer is that"? Our server was putting order in the system and said "mine". I knew immediately I had gotten this server in trouble. I noticed the manager (Racheal) take several servers in the office and they came out heads hung. I was apologetic to our server. We stopped here on the way home from Myrtle Beach. We wanted a place to wind down after driving all day and have a nice meal. Then we needed to get back on the road to finish the last leg of our trip. Well, good stuff first. The waitress was sort of new but she was kind and willing to help. We were seated after only a short wait. They weren't busy at all. There were 6 in our party and 2 of the meals were good without problems. One was a breakfast meal and the other the pot roast dinner, both were good. Well, that's all that was good. For not having very many people we still had to wait longer than expected for a table. Once seated we were greeted and drink orders taken. Then we waited and waited and waited. Finally the drinks came. All were good and I was told I had to wait for decaf coffee which was fine. Usually only takes a few minutes to brew. Then I waited. Finally the decaf came and it was cold. Huh? How could fresh brewed decaf be cold. After waiting yet again she brought the breads and I told her about the cold coffee. She made some excuse and went to get a fresh cup. She actually told us she put it in the microwave to get it hot! Crazy! And then we waited. After a long time our meals finally came. Again 2 meals were perfect. The a special French toast that wasn't even cooked on one side! The cook had to know the top side wasn't cooked! They served it raw side down. So it had to have been raw side up when removing and plating. I had the Wildfire Chicken Salad. The chicken on it was cold. I didn't want to wait any longer so I ate it cold and said nothing. My niece ordered the country fried steak and it was also cold but like me she was too hungry to return it and ate it cold. My other niece wasn't very hungry so she just ordered loaded French Fries. There was a very small serving of cold French fries scattered on a large plate with unmelted shredded cheese and green onion tops. That was loaded?? Since this was all she was eating we mentioned it to the waitress who then (again after a long wait) brought a small amount of sour cream and some bacon bits to add to the now really cold French fries. Well that wouldn't do so my niece then asked for a cup of potato soup since she couldn't eat the fries. She offered us coffee to go. When she brought the 2 regular and one decaf she couldn't remember if mine was decaf for sure. She didn't mark them. So another wait for the decaf and the bill. This was all just sad! We were there an hour and a half! I keep an log of times while we travel. We arrived a few minutes before 7pm and left at 8:30. We rested a little more than we would have liked. Never ate at a Bob Evans before. First time. The restaurant is very clean, the staff there are very down-home and friendly. I got seated within, well, less than two minutes after I walked in the door. The waiter came over almost immediately thereafter and asked what I wanted to drink and give me a couple minutes to look over the menu. It's a nice variety of entrees, and they do serve breakfast all day here. Which I appreciate. The place was very busy, and the staff was hustling and bustling for all the tables. Even the manager was in the trenches. Overall, I had a very nice dining experience, and the prices are well within a decent range, similar to other restaurant chains. I do recommend stopping if you're passing through. I truly believe you will not regret it. read more

The food was okay, service was terrible. Our server was nice enough, but it took her TEN minutes to bring us our drinks. From where we were seated we could see her just standing and watching people plate food. The restaurant was not busy at all. Most of the wait staff were aimlessly standing around like zombies. The manager was in the back cooking and seemed really flustered, I felt bad for the guy. The cashier, a lady named Chris was very friendly and gave us a small discount for our wait. I sat here for one hour with three children waiting on our food to be served. My sons waffle & bacon sat up under the heat lamps for 15 min before I demanded it to be brought out. Then it was crispy as hell. After complaining they said they'd cover free desserts. After another 10 min they then said they'd take care of my whole check. The server was nice but the kitchen time management is absolutely ridiculous! Then we waited 15 min for our dessert to come out. I mean it's ice cream sundaes people!! Horrible, completely horrible. We had a bad experience and I had spoke the to DM a couple of months ago, assured he would fix the problems since he had newly taken over the area and decided to head back with the family....MISTAKE. It was kids eat free night on Tuesday, I got the "Signature": Turkey and gravy...maybe jelly turkey and water. My son had the mac n cheese with fries. The mac n cheese, was sorta Microwavable and "crusty" and his fries, I just wish I would have taken a picture of them. They looked like the had floated in watered down A1 sauce, the grease was so dirty. The fries had been put in to not hot enough grease so it just soaked into the uncooked fries...we asked for another side, which we had to wait for 10 minutes for his mashed potatoes. I guess the upside is his was free...and we made the comment that it is the only reason people eat here. I truly believe that a reorder in the management needs to be in the works....over 6 months of trying to love Bob Evans has lead to lost $ and unhappy kids. What happened to the old BE??? Cleanliness is the issue. Maybe 1/3 full on Mon evening. Counted 6-7 dirty tables when we walked in. Slowly they were cleaned- no real pattern- even though one staff member was meticulously cleaning a cabinet near the kitchen and the manager walked past the dirty tables 3-4 times. One table in a corner remained in cleaned and covered during the hour+ we were there. Our waitress was great and food was fine. The manager needs canned though. There were scraps of napkins and other debris throughout the place. If the manager is that unconcerned when he is RIGHT THERE, how does the place look during or following a busy breakfast? read more

Unfortunately we visited on a Sunday after church services let out, so we hit the rush hour of diners. The hostess mentioned that a number of workers called off that day which was too bad because everyone else was very accommodating despite some overly pushy patrons. As you'd expect with an understaffed day, the dining room was a bit dirty from last meals, but nothing that make you walk out. Beyond all this it's your typical Bob Evans.
