We stopped here for dinner on our way home from vacation at the beach. We are a family of seven which sometimes can be hard to handle. They were great here! They found us a nice spot in the back. Our server was wonderful. She checked on us a lot which is nice. Big families can't always remember what they need so her checking more than others would was appreciated. Our food was great. Had a mix of pancakes, chicken, burger and fries. Prices on the kids menu were really good too I felt. We will have to remember our local Bob Evans more often. The restaurant was clean and had a nice homey feeling. Would eat here again. Thank you BE team! read more

I will say, because of the low scoring I started to not visit this location, but I am glad I did. I always like to form my own opinions. Several reviewers mentioned the staff was slow and they didn't get good service. I want to say that I came on a standard busy Saturday afternoon and it wasn't crowded but it was steady. I was greeted and seated quickly. My server came In a reasonable amount of time. I did wait a brief moment to get my food hit the food was cooked to perfection, nice and hot! Seasoned well. No complaints. I really enjoyed my food and the customer service. Everyone was so friendly and helpful! Thank you Bob Evan's staff for making my morning amazing! read more

I'm not sure what happened to Bob Evans over the years, but its take-out quality has fallen so far downhill. If it's not stale dinner rolls (the rolls are ALWAYS stale for take-out), then the food is too salty, or it looks and tastes like it's been sitting in a warmer all day. Sometimes they don't give you items that you ordered at all. The staff is always very friendly and helpful, but the food is terrible. However, if you sit down and eat in the restaurant, the food is *slightly* better. I don't know if they give the dregs to the take-out orders or what, but it's not worth it. I'd recommend eating elsewhere if you have the choice. read more

I went here with a group of 9 people and the service was very slow. There were not many other tables either. The inside of the restaurant is nice and clean. I personally did not care for my food that much. The pancakes were very sweet and i'm convinced there was more blueberry than pancakes, lol. read more

My husband and I had a great late breakfast/ lunch on a Sunday afternoon. I'm giving five stars, bc I have absolutely no complaints. The sweet tea was perfect & fresh, the coffee was good, and hot. The banana-berry pancakes were yummy, and the eggs, bacon and hash browns were cooked perfectly. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger and it came out hot and looking EXACTLY like the picture on the menu. Fresh bun, fresh lettuce, tomato, and onion and quality beef patty. Our server Jess was friendly & attentive, and the entire restaurant (including the bathroom) was extremely clean. The crew that was working seemed to make a good team. We have always liked Bob Evan's, and this visit was especially good. Well done! read more

Friendly services. Had my Mom laughing from check in. Timely arrival of food. Great food service. The breakfast food was very tasty.

Stopped in on our way to Deep Creek Lake. While it took a while for the food to show up it was all very well cooked. Roger was great and he really made the experience much more enjoyable. We're all suffering with this "having to wear a mask" thing but everyone here was well behaved and compliant. We'll probably stop back in on our way home. read more

The visit didn't start well. After taking our name they passed us up twice. My wife complained and the mistake was corrected. The manager, server and everyone worked hard to accommodate us. The mistake was made by a young man who did his part to make up for a mistake. Everyone makes a mistake at times. How you react and come back is what is important. Service was very good, food was delicious and restaurant was very accommodating. I certainly would return to this location! Thank you Bob Evans crew read more

Very good tasting food at a good value. Very friendly, yet professional service. The place was very clean.

We were just there...sat for 20 min with Menus at our booth...20 min later no one even took our drink order, the waitress even held a conversation with the couple across from us. Literally had to walk out. read more

It's fine and cheap, it's Bob Evans! Went in on a weekday afternoon. I was served courteously and promptly. The food was reasonably priced with generous servings, although it was merely so so and very salty. I had the turkey with gravy, though I subbed out the sides for mac and cheese and coleslaw. I also tried the lemon bread. Nothing was bad; nothing impressed. It was fine for my first Bob Evans experience. Wouldn't go out of my way to come here, but if you need a meal it works. read more

I am surprised to see even 2 stars for this location. I ordered the chicken salad fruit plate, found a feather in my fruit and showed it to the waiter. The server said he would tell the manager. When I heard nothing back I asked the server if he showed the manager and he stated the manager just blew it off stating we serve farm fresh food and things happen. I stated so if I order a hamburger I can expect a side of cow shit! While paying my bill I saw the little weasel looking manager doing everything he could to stay out of my line of sight, what a coward! read more

We came here on a Saturday evening. Honestly we should have known not to expect much when we saw the restaurant was pretty empty. But we thought we would give it a try. We were obviously seated right away and our server was very friendly! The food did come out not long after we ordered and it was all correct. The taste was just ok. Nothing spectacular and pretty bland to be honest. Not overly cheap for what you get either! The bottom line is I could take it or leave it, but won't go out of my way to eat here. It's just ok. Nothing special. read more

Up until tonight, I had good experiences at this location. I can no longer say that. This evening, I ordered a family meal with two sides, one being green beans with ham and the other the summer herb corn. When my meal was being put into the bag provided, I asked why I didn't receive a family-size portion of corn. The woman behind the counter assured me, in violation of the common sense a five-year old would be expected to possess, that I was indeed receiving a family-size portion of corn. I pointed out the obvious discrepancy in container size, only to be told yet again that, truly, I was being given a family-sized portion of corn. Rather than argue with her further, I decided to take my case to the internet. Take a look at the photo. Do those containers look the same size to you? Don't piss on me and tell me it's raining. When you do that, you lose my business. read more

Great food. Somewhat of a wait for the ordered items and to pay. I compare the experience to watching the grass grow or water boiling, it takes forever. Not as bad as the green turtle!! The service was competent but the food took an eternity to come out. The food itself was nothing to write about, so I won't. The service time was the biggest problem that I observed. This is the perfect place for people that are retired with nothing to but plan your funeral. RIP Bob Evan's , you won't be getting any flowers from me. PS , if you get the western sizzler, prepare for the dragon. Onion overboard!!! read more

I've been to this restaurant about three times in the past month, and each time the service has degraded. When I came today my steak was pink, and undercooked. My mash potatoes were cold, they couldn't provide me with boxes, my drink tasted water down. The overall service was mediocre and I'll never come here again, they charged me $40 for a half made meal that didn't even taste good. read more

Ordered eggs scrambled. Came easy. Potatoes cooked dry. Toast like cardboard. Ugh. Won't be back.

The food is awesome. Mary was great. The Manager should know that she gives over 100% whe she waited on us. Definitely going back and hopefully get her again. read more

Bob Evans was unremarkable, but I shall remark. (I imagined your eyes rolling!) On the plus side, they served a complimentary variety of tasty bread. Also on the plus side, their candied bacon appetizer was worth the temporary cholesterol spike. On the "meh" side, their biscuits and gravy dinner tasted better than it looked - because the gravy looked a little like vomit. Lastly, the hashed browns floated in oil on the plate like water lilies float on a pond. read more

Don't go here if it's past 7:30 pm. They close at 9 and it seemed like we were a hassle to begin with because we came at 7:30. The older server that started our table was mad because she got sat and showed it. Then rushed us while taking our order and got our order wrong because of it. She got "cut" so then gave our table and her mess to another server. Food was mediocre but because I had SERVED people myself being a bartender all day I didn't say anything. Funny thing is, the server that started us walked out the same time as we did. read more

I loved going here the food was great but I didn't appreciate some waitress yelling and screaming at the kitchen staff.

This location is professionally managed. The restaurant runs smoothly, the staff were helpful, and the place is clean. The food was good. We both had the 3 course, one the white fish and the other the steak. Both were cooked well as were the side dishes. We will go back next time we're in Hagerstown. We find Bob Evans pretty good for informal dining and consistent on road trips. read more

Great place to eat if you are staying at one of the hotels near by. The hours are very accomodating. We LOVE going to Bob Evans on Dual Highway in Hagerstown MD especially on Saturday and Sunday morning. I go there other time as well. Great for the pick 2 lunch for $5.99. We "Always" request our favorite friendly waiter "Roger" on the weekends. ROGER always takes great care of us. He makes sure to place our order just the way we like it and he knows just how we like everything. The food is yummy and the price is very affordable. Over all 90% of the staff is very friendly. Sometimes you will get that one who just doesn't belong in the restaurant business but don't let that keep you from coming back. They always make my bacon extra crispy "just the way I like it". My only complaint is that I wish they would add chipped beef gravy to the menu. It would be great over those YUMMY biscuits that they make fresh daily. The prices are very reasonable and the sweet tea is delicious. Expect to wait a bit on Sunday morning if you get there a bit late but it is worth the wait. Restrooms and restaurant is always nice and clean "Inside and Out". Keep doing what you are doing staff at B.E. and we will keep coming back. read more

Called in to get a Chicken Cobb salad. Talked to 3 people before they would take my order. Half way through, I was told they didn't have french dressing because they got rid of it. I asked again that they no longer had french dressing, and she confirmed they no longer have french. I then canceled my order. If you're in the mood for a Cobb salad or French dressing, look elsewhere. I had to go to another restaurant and I will never be back to this restaurant. read more

We came here on our way to Pittsburgh from Ocean City and had been driving for some time so we were all pretty hungry. Unfortunately I can't recall what I ordered. I think it was grilled chicken with fries and broccoli. I do remember it being very filling and satisfying. Also, some of the bread, which had the raisins in it was a little sweet so I didn't even have to order dessert. However, what really made the dining experience was when one of the workers, I believe she was a manager, came over to chat with us. She seemed so sincere and down to earth and not at all as if she was just trying to gain more business. This by no means is a fancy restaurant with gourmet selections. However, that fact served advantageous because we truly got the best of what cheap eats can offer, which is food that is good enough to fill you up yet won't suck your wallet dry, and service that is sincere and unpretentious. I give it an A grade! read more

Great service but the food was less than mediocre. We paid $30 for breakfast for two; A Rise & Shine, an Everything breakfast bowl, two coffees, an orange juice, a side of hash browns. That's ridiculous especially with portion sizes fit for a kid, not an adult. My home fries were brown and dry, they used to be so yummy with a bit of onion and definitely freshly cooked. These came out of a bag and a fryer. The side of hash browns was not bigger than a deck of cards...for $2.29! Very disappointed in low food quality, small portions and high prices. read more

This restaurant was horrible. The table that they seated us at had ants crawling all over it and they were also in the salt shaker. The guests at the table behind us were moved due to the ants. What do you want from Bob Evans for Sunday lunch? We waited too long to sit, our server was scattered and forgot items and the food is what it is. What was I thinking ordering the fish dinner? I can buy frozen bricks from the grocery store. When I paid the bill the manager asked how everything was....I politely said pretty slow and he did the right thing and took 20% off the bill. read more

We visited on a Sunday about 5pm, and it wasn't crowded at all. We were immediately seated, and our server, John, was very attentive with his service. John must have visited our table about 6-7 throughout our stay. It was very cold and windy out, se we felt like having some comfort food. So two cups of vegetable beef soup hit the spot. Then we had grilled chicken breasts with yummy mashed potatoes with chicken gravy. The chicken was so very tender, cooked perfectly. We liked the fresh blueberry bread, with real blueberries. I like that they offer a discount on subsequent visits, if you review on their website. read more

Don't really understand some of the bad reviews. I don't normally review chains because, well, they're chains and usually fairly mediocre, reliable, and same-same. The only reason I am reviewing this Bob Evans is because it was so clean, friendly, and pleasant to spent time in. We were seated right away, and our server was friendly and courteous. He refilled our coffee twice, and offered a third refill. The food was exactly how we ordered and what we ordered, and everything tasted fresh and clean. Nothing was drowning if fat/grease. The bathrooms were clean, and parking was ample. Don't really know what more you can expect from a road-side stop off when you are hungry, thirsty, need to pee and get off the road for a while. read more
