He methodically went from component to component, verifying each one before moving on - yes it needs a new carburetor, but he got it started. When we get the carb in, he will install and away we go. Until then we will run on propane as he recommended. Thank you to Daniel for going out of your way tonight to help me. We got the carb in, and called Daniel back. he came last evening on his way home again, and discovered the carb was slightly wrong, but made it work anyway. He then worked on the propane (it's dual fuel) to see why that wouldn't run - this was not part of the request, but he didn't want to leave it not fully functional. He fixed that too. I was short on funds and he was gracious to wait until I could come up with it (we are current now). I mentioned we had a different issue with some fuel - and he asked if I wanted him to look at it - well, duh, so he opened the petcock and it had a lot of water in the tank - so he gave suggestions how to go about getting the water out then how to treat the fuel still in the tank. I appreciate Daniel going beyond to help. In the few interactions I've had, he is quite responsible and cares for the people who hire him. I have another generator that he will also look at, but I was more neglectful with it. But that's my responsibility. I hope he can work magic anyway, but if he can't, at least this other genny is running very well. I highly recommend him.
