Just your typical used car dealer that will do everything they can to squeeze every little penny from you. Used car dealers have a rep for a reason and like most, the Blumenthal's are shady and ignorant people.
I'll give people like this one thing though, it takes some guts to run a business where you are willing to sell products that can endanger the life of customers to ensure that you make the most profit. We almost forgot to post this review but it was worth coming back to to hopefully save other's a trip in the horrendous used car hunt that most us have to go through.
Stay away from these guys. You will learn shortly that unless you're clueless and willing to buy on the first visit, they will become very aggressive until you agree to purchase. Kind at first of course, just poorly tempered like most used car salesman. The owner gets snobby at the smallest thing and the son just seems like your typical spoiled kid.
Won't bog this down but to give a basic overview, these guys literally went out of their way to rip us off on multiple occasions. Through many rude negotiations, we finally settled on a package that was relatively decent until troubles followed. We were told by our tire shop that the used tire package that we negotiated were a completely different bolt pattern (Bob specifically told us that these were used on the same rig before.) After agreeing to a tire swap and going out of are way to travel all the way back to Sackville (3 hour drive), they took the good Michelin's from us and gave us another used pair with the right bolt pattern. After inspecting the first two, they were OK quality but we agreed and put them in the truck. After getting to the tire shop again, we found out that the other two were a completely different tire and much older. Not possible to use together. Now we were completely out of luck. We asked for reimbursement, even just travel expenses. He wouldn't even offer $100 and resulted to tell us that less than a day after swapping, they already got rid of the ones we got originally. Then we were insulted and yelled at by Bob's immature son.
This isn't the only issue we had with the vehicle, which I guess explains why they were so defensive when we took the car to get checked over before buying. Unfortunately we missed some other items which were easy to glance over upon reviewing the car. They made sure not to tell us about any of them.
Be weary of these guys. They give the small business community a bad rep and will do anything they can to take the most money from you. Other things to note:
-Will try to sell you on a garbage 3 month Lubrico warranty. Everyone knows this stuff is worthless, just ignore them at this point
-Won't respond to you until calling from a different number if you are disappointed in anything.
-They will freak if you ask for any additional gas when buying, even if it's less than a quarter tank.
Take your hunt elsewhere friends, plenty of options in the area. Just do your checks. read more
