This kind of response only proves to further my points. The Goose Rocks Beach General Store has transformed from a family friendly, reasonably priced convenience store into a bougie, fly infested, overpriced French cafe. I could see a place like this working in a port town, but the entire point of a beach-side store is missed with this new setup. Gone are the days of reasonably priced sandwiches, giant muffins, and penny candy. Instead, the store is serving overpriced coffee, crepes, etc. Enjoy watching flies swarming exposed baked goods while the cash register rings you for two iced coffees and two muffins at the fabulously high price of $20+. Credit only, so good luck sending your kids. Attached is a photo of the bizarre, nonsensical layout. You enter the store *at* the cash register, and to get in line you have to excuse your way through the crowded checkout line to go to the back of the store, to wrap back to the front of the store. Then after you pick up your order you have to excuse your way back through the checkout line to exit, AHHHHH! They're forcing two laps just to get a coffee. Nice college kids working there but that's about the only redeeming quality at this time.

Not bad, but definitely not great. I understand the desire to improve a business... but there is something to be said for keeping things that work. We use to grab breakfast sandwiches/ coffee (or burgers at lunch) and go sit on the beach. Today, you have crepes, Starbucks like coffee and fancy sandwiches. I can see the appeal this cafe. Personal preference. Staff are friendly and helpful.

PREVIEW Based on my…read moreresearch into this 7/11, and having reviewed all relevant literature, I believe we will find a slightly above average store, notwithstanding the reports of a high creep factor. My team's experience with 7/11s from Troy, NY to Rutland, VT precludes our tolerance of a potentially creeptastic convenience store experience. We come equipped with a 2018 Honda Odyssey with VT plates. This should provide some camouflage. Our general dad vibe should also dissuade unwarranted attention. Post-Review will provide in depth analysis of roller food. REVIEW Wow, our team was truly impressed by this 7/11 and are perplexed as to the negative reviews. The store was clean, and had some charmingly sketchy people loitering outside; this is not a dangerous spot, although we could easily see some belligerence. We believe if you keep your head down and don't engage with the people outside, you'll be fine. We were, and the research team is pretty insufferable. As far as the meat and potatoes of the store, it's well stocked and SELLS LIQUOR. Yes, it SELLS LIQUOR. Let me just mention again that it SELLS LIQUOR. This fact alone means that there could be an active volcano in the store, or a homeless man defecating next to the Pringles, and it would still score at least 4 Stars. The fact that this is a normal ass store with friendly, reasonable staff (as long as you're not a drunk wingnut) easily ranks this as 6/5 stars and one of the premier 7/11 locations on the eastern seaboard. Bathroom: closed, but I assume: 7/5 Roller food: crisp, fresh, greasums: 11/5 Cereal and milk: check 1/2 pint of Pinnacle brand lower-middle shelf vodka: drank Newports: hints of raspberry and tobacco, clean finish Please go to this 7/11. Qualitative research says this is the best one probably.

The staff is wonderful and friendly and the food's very tasty and I like that they're open 24/7…read more However, I wish they had more handicap spots, kept better track of people without placards parking in the only handicap spot, didn't have people littering and littering and that their phone's worked. Every place has its issues but I'm mostly satisfied with this store.
