Mexican Burguer (front) and Carnivore Burguer (back)

Good service, giant tasty burgers, and live music ... perfect! Just a little bit pricey, but worth it.

Salmon and shrimp meal with mashed potatoes and cooked veggies

This spot offer some great views of the harbour front, plus the service received was excellent! We were warmly greeted and offered a nice spot on the patio. Our server was quick and attentive. We ordered drinks and our meals without issue. Since it was a hot day, I went for a Greek salad with salmon which was delicious. My dinner company had a salmon/shrimp meal and he had no complaints! I tried one of the shrimp and they were well cooked and seasoned. We never felt rushed or thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience. I'll be back for sure!

This was our first visit to Boathouse Eatery. There were 7 of us here for lunch on a beautiful, sunny July afternoon. The location is lovely. We sat on the patio and enjoyed the lovely view of the dock and all the boats. Our server was very friendly and helpful. She arrived promptly after we were seated and took our beverage order. We ordered a variety of beer and cocktails. Everything arrived shortly after we ordered and the beer was nice and cold, cocktails well made and delicious. The reason for the 2 star review has no reflection on the service, location, view or drinks. It's all about the food. I'll start with the positive. 3 of us had pulled pork sandwiches and all said they were tasty and fairly large portions. One of us had the Greek salad and said it was pretty good, with a fair number of olives and a tasty dressing. My husband had the ahi tuna salad and although the tuna was pretty good, it needed seasoning. The greens were heaped in the middle of the bowl, but only the top of the greens actually had any dressing. The dressing needed acid and salt as it was rather bland. My son had the grilled chicken Caesar, which tasted really nice but was extremely overdressed. It was so weighed down with dressing that it was almost unpleasant to eat. He also ordered the fried pickles which tasted quite nice, but were too soft and not at all crisp. The ranch dip was extremely salty. I ordered the butter chicken with rice and naan. This was by far the most disappointing dish. First of all, it looked like a jambalaya as it had absolutely no sauce at all. It was served topped with a couple of dollops of sour cream, diced tomatoes and green onions (more like a taco/burrito bowl in appearance). Although there was a slight butter chicken flavour, the dish had no semblance of butter chicken at all other than the fact that it had rice and chicken in it. If you're looking for a lovely view, great drinks and good service, then this is the place to visit. If you're looking for great food, I'd try somewhere else.

I had a virgin Pina Colada and pulled pork brisket along with Brochettes. Both were very good. My compliments to the chef.

Delicious short ribs, great price, fast and helpful service. The music wasn't too loud for dinning and clean bathrooms.

This was a real work of art that was so fun and colourful to eat because there were many different vegetables and meat underneath the fried egg. The rice also had a wonderful flavour to it that I couldn't identify. It was all very filling! The husband and wife team working there were very warm and friendly and patient with me because it took me so long to decide what to order from the many photos of yummy looking meal choices covering their walls! Only two tables here is must be mostly take out. I'll definitely come back when I return to Midland!

Min-Ji's is a mom and pop restaurant but seems pretty popular in the area. Seems like they focus on Korean and Japanese dishes. It is takeout only so no dine in and can get really busy on the weekends. We were lucky enough to squeeze in our order! Going to caveat that this is more like a fusion home style Korean/Japanese-Canadian cuisine. If you're looking for classical Korean or Japanese dishes, you may not find it here. Food: Dynamite and MJ rolls bento - the dynamite roll has tempura shrimp, cucumbers and avocado. The rice texture is on point though it could use a bit of rice vinegar. Contents seemed fresh. The MJ roll is quite interesting as it has crab salad inside which gives a nice sweetness to the roll while contrasting the spicy Mayo on top. A really fun roll. The rest of the bento was great too - dumplings, jap chae but using vermicelli noodles, edamame and miso soup. 4.5/5. Spicy Seafood jjampong - note that there is a non spicy version which I think is the seafood udon and the mild spicy version is just called the seafood jjampong. The spicy is quite spicy so he warned. The dish uses udon noodles which is different than other Korean restaurants. There is lots of seafood (shrimp, mussels, squid) and vegetables which is really nice. 4/5. Tofu ramen - the ramen seems to be your typical instant ramen but the broth is nice. Tofu appears to be medium or firm tofu cut up and there's vegetables in the broth as well. 4/5. Price: Probably around 18-22$ per dish before tax and tip. Pretty good in the area for a different type of cuisine.

Mom's Restaurant - eggs, bacon, home fries, canadian bacon, an orange slice.

Seated fairly quickly and drinks came shortly after. They were missing two sets of utensils when we sat down which was odd but fixed after the meals came. We were checked on every so often though water not refilled. Food: Garden salad - iceberg lettuce, 3 slices of cucumber, some red onion and 3 wedges of tomatoes and a sweet salad dressing. Likely plates in advance and kept in fridge as they literally came out 10 seconds after we finished ordering. Still fresh-ish though. 3/5. All main dishes came with 3 slices of cooked carrot, 1 broccoli piece and 1-2 cauliflower pieces. Also comes with your choice of baked potato, mashed potato or fries. Fries are from frozen. The mashed seems to be from fresh potatoes. Salmon - pretty small piece of salmon. However, it was cooked really well with a crispy exterior but still moist. The seasoning added to the flavor without overpowering. 5/5 for flavor but have to ding it to 4/5 due to the small portion. Prime rib - surprisingly thick but likely to make up for the fact that it's not super wide. Both sides were seared well but still remained a nice medium rare inside. Some parts were more tender than others but overall pretty good. 4/5. Pork Ribs (full): Comes with 2 full racks of ribs - is a ton of food. It wasn't exactly fall off the bone as some parts did require effort. The flavor was pretty good with a sweet and garlic sauce. 4/5. Price: On the pricier side but not too bad. Looking at around 25-40$ per dish.

But today my tea was lukewarm, and when I told the waitress she went and got me more lukewarm tea. She asked if it was better but didn't wait for my answer. I don't think she did anything differently. Cold tea makes me grumpy. A breakfast place has to get hot tea and coffee right.
