How often have you heard these statements: "Buying our home was a delightful experience. I would…read moredo it again in a heartbeat! Our realtor was the best!" Um, probably never. Home buying/selling consistently rates as one of the most stressful experiences in a lifetime behind #1 losing a loved one and #2 being diagnosed with a terrible disease. Well, I am not sure exactly where it falls on the top 10 of most stressful experiences, but it is certainly up there. And I am convinced this is due to the lack of Rachel Schaden's in the world, because if there were more Rachels around, home buying/selling would be a delight. Or at least as delightful as the banks would allow it to be. :) Rachel is a gem, pure and simple. She was our realtor in Portland when we recently bought a house in SW. I moved a lot growing up, so I already had a lot of experiences with realtors (read: mostly bad experiences). My husband and I continued the moving tradition recently, and Rachel was the one bright spot in the whole mess of selling our old home and buying our new one. And when I say mess, I do mean an all caps M-E-S-S. The realtor selling our home (NOT Rachel) could have taken notes from Rachel (I wish she had!)...no follow through, no professionalism, flaking out at inappropriate moments. (!) But despite the unevenness of the professionals that we paid to sit around while my poor husband and I were forced to do their jobs for them, Rachel was the one person who we knew we could count on. We knew if there was a deadline, she would be all over it. Not on vacation. Not pawning it off on her assistant. Not out to lunch on the inspection report, buyers addendum, or counteroffer documents. Our poor buyers were made to wait (and stress!) about the outcome, while we waited and stressed, and the sellers in Portland that we were trying to buy from waited and stressed. Lots of waiting and stressing. I wish Rachel had been our realtor for the whole process. It would have eliminated a lot of waiting and stressing. Rachel was the one person who followed through exactly as she promised she would. I am convinced we never would have gotten our current home without her professionalism and attention to detail. She went above and beyond in every respect, even helping the realtor selling our house (!) manage that aspect of the deal. She never once dropped the ball during the entire process of trying to buy our house in Portland (and we had a pretty convoluted journey). And she ALWAYS did what she said she would do. Even the sellers of our current home were impressed with her (and they had their own agent!). I am sure when word gets out about how good Rachel is, she will be inundated with clients, and she certainly deserves the recognition. She is uncommonly good at her job. Probably because she actually cares about her clients. I don't get that feeling from most realtors, but I felt it the minute I met Rachel. I regard Rachel as a friend, and I would recommend her in a heartbeat to anyone looking for a reliable realtor (believe me, this is NOT an oxymoron). Based on my experiences I believe Rachel is a diamond among a lot of carbon copies out there. She is the real deal and deserves to be celebrated for her impeccable level of professionalism, kindness, concern, and service. Buying/selling homes will probably always be stressful to some degree. However, if everyone were as committed, professional, trustworthy, and reliable as Rachel, I think people would have fewer horror stories about the misadventures they had on the sale/purchase of their home and more stories about how streamlined and easy the process was because they had a Rachel in their corner.

He helped us transform the townhome and personally managed cost-effective enhancements to showcase it in the best possible light. Sam's marketing campaign was excellent - we received an offer on the first day the home was listed and just completed a successful sale. Most impressive was Sam's professionalism and ability to effectively communicate with four siblings settling an estate. He was clear, responsive, and provided valuable guidance throughout the process. We're very grateful we chose Sam and would recommend him in a heartbeat for all of your real estate needs. He went above and beyond every expectation our family had. Sam's the BEST!

My…read morefurniture was totally worn out, having suffered the effects of years of being jumped and spilled on by my kids. But I never seemed to have the time or energy to replace it myself--I was paralyzed by the idea of wanting to change so much but not having any idea how to make it all work together. Jen put me at ease right away when she walked into my house. She has such a positive and thoughtful vibe...she is totally in tune with her clients' thoughts and feelings. She began by having me collect images of decor that I like--not specific pieces (that would have overwhelmed me) but images to give her a sense of what I wanted my new livingroom to be like. We then decided on a key piece-- a beautiful rug that she found on sale-- and built the rest of the decor from there. She has a great eye for style and is attentive to budget; she is excellent at presenting options of various costs and explaining what you get for each level of spending. She's so good that she transformed what was once a paralyzing situation into a fun experience! And the entire family loves our new livingroom. It is comfortable, practical, and beautiful at the same time! So totally worth it. During the time Jen was working with me, she happened to be remodeling and refreshing a home in my neighborhood, preparing it to sell. I stopped by to check it out. Amazing. She took a challenging and needy space and made it shine, move-in ready. I was super impressed with how fast she did such high quality work. That home sold quickly for a price that made her client very happy. Very rare is Jen's combination of attention to detail, huge people skills, strong financial sense, and style. I highly recommend her for selling, staging, organizing, or refreshing your home.

While working with us, she served on the local realtor's ethics board and nourished active relationships with pet shelters. So, if someone was interested in buying the house, they could reach out to Karen and if they wanted to adopt the dog, then they would reach out to the partnering shelter organization. Her background on ethics was highly important to me because our experience was not a good one when we bought the house. That time, we barely saw that realtor and was passed around to other team members. With Karen, though we interacted with others, it always felt complementary to the work she was doing with us. S Throughout the process, Karen was responsive and communicative (sending weekly update emails). A great teacher with much patience, she educated us on all the steps along the way. Her immense research, experience and skills allowed us to trust her even when we didn't trust each other. Mr. Mark Gettinger helped me in finding a great deal in Minnesota (I am living in the West Coast)…read more He also explained me in detail about the required process and paper work and prepared an offer that helped in competing with other multiple buyers and getting a right price for my new condo purchase. In addition, he communicated with the condo association and provided all required documents for set up the HOA payments on time. Moreover, he suggested to do the Mobile closing ( the notary came to my home for signing the closing paper in the closing date) which saved my time and $$$ money because I did not need to fly to Minnesota just for the closing. Mr.Mark Gettinger has provided an outstanding customer service. He commutated with my Closing company and Lender directly when I needed the information's clarification ( especially, the specific legal terminology). Furthermore, all the paper work and earning money sending were done electronically-it was so easy and accurate as well as saving a lot of my time and energy in this busy life. In Sum, the closing was done on time, and my Lender told me that they were impressed how Mr. Mark Gettinger was able to manage very professionally the condo purchase ( which is required more knowledge and documentation than purchasing a single home) and also for a Buyer who is living in the different state.
