Prices are very competitive even with online games stores and they have an amazing loyalty scheme where you can earn points that can be used for discount off future purchases. Board games can be quite pricey, but Boardlandia is actually cheaper than the other games stores in Appleton. I was looking at a certain game to give as a gift for Christmas. If zero stars were available, that would be my review. I decided to order a board game from this firm instead of Amazon during the COVID crisis to try and show support for smaller companies. I ordered a Christmas gift for my wife on December 11. A few days before THE day, I still had no game and no information about when I would get it. I got a response on 12/23 from staffer saying they "were a small firm with "12 employees" and they were still trying to ship Black Friday orders, that is orders from 11/27. I asked to cancel the order and the same staffer said I could cancel but it would be subject to a "15%" RESTOCKING.fee. I was outraged. How can anyone in their right mind ask for a restocking fee FOR SOMETHING THAT HAS NEVER SHIPPED. OF COUSRE, IF I WOULD TAKE STORE CREDIT, THEY WOULD WAIVE THE FEE. I was even more outraged. It appears their business model is to rip off customers who happen to stumble across their site. Oh, I forgot to mention my outrage was fueled by the fact they hit my credit card AS SOON ASTHE ORDER WAS TRANSMITTED. I have not experienced this kind of fraud since the early days of the internet these days, virtually no e-tailer hits your card while going nothing to earn that money.
