This place is loaded with a unique collection of all kinds of artsy home décor from all over. The items will appeal to men & women alike. There is also a variety of unusual jewelry made just for their shop. There are all kinds of bird cages, antique signs, home décor and more-including a pickup door from the early 1900's. No matter how I explain what the shop has to offer, it would not do it justice. Not only is the collection unique but as my husband said, the gentlemen has an eye for grouping collections in the most beautiful way. Visiting the Wagon Yard was near perfect on a recent trip to Granbury. Allow me to explain. South of North Texas you'll find in recent years newly made in Mexico metal signs with minimal tack weld featuring everything from Longhorns, Aggies, Wine, Bar's open...etc. Point being I found every room unique and a bit above the norm for Texas kitsch. Ok, a few things are a carbon copy. Yet, I found some excellent pottery and signs that I haven't seen before. Alot of aviation options, and furniture that seems to be from the area with options for customization. Glad I took a stroll a half block of the square and visited the Wagon Yard.

We spent over an hour picking jewelry. There is a daily sales board right at the front, so you can save even more off the very reasonable vendor prices. There is a selection of furniture, books, and other items but to be honest we never made it past the vintage jewelry section. I spent less then $30 for 2 earrings, 2 bracelets, and 2 necklaces. Most of the staff is very friendly (they do tend to get very wrapped up with regulars and ignore those of us who COULD become regulars). In the past their tags had the full price on one side and then dates and discounts on the back. Now you must get out the reading glasses to see the 8 point font of the discounts on the front bottom. It's also impossible to get a price of anything in the case. Prices are well hidden and when inconvenicing a clerk to open the case you may be treated as if "if you have to ask, you likely can't afford it". I do feel that they were friendlier before. I have shopped here about 10 years and will continue to on a monthly or less basis. However, if the store was more welcoming I would likely go more often and spend more with them.

She looked but wasn't able to find another one. Well, bummer! She showed me another one that was the same-ish style, but more sturdy. She told me that if I liked it, she would just do a straight exchange. It was about $12 more than the defective one, but she said that she was really sorry about what happened. I checked it out and I liked it, so I accepted it. Every single time I come in here, the associates are always nice. They're helpful, and kind.
